JMarz That’s true but I’m a male guitar teacher and I find that with my young female students, it’s inspiring for them to see women playing guitar. I even had one of my students say to me (mind you she’s only 7), that she wishes she was a boy so she could play as good as them. That’s so crazy to me because there are so many amazing women out there who play guitar and not to be tokenistic or anything, but there should be more inclusion of female musicians. Girls shouldn’t need to feel that they can’t be as good as men, that’s why achieving a more equilibrium landscape with gender is really important.
The younger generation of girls are just Snapchat Dog Filter Girls.. And not musically inclined, At All 💯💯

I’m a 13 year old girl and I have been playing electric guitar for around 2 years I love the instrument and have been gigging a bit with a band from my music sessions, this demo really inspired me cause the music industry is already so male dominated and it’s quite hard being female and playing a instrument like guitar, but this demo really shows that it doesn’t matter what age or what gender you are to be able to make beautiful music
Late reply but are you still playing? It’s amazing to hear that you already gigged with a band at such young age. Where I’m from it’s not very easy to find people with the same interest, much less to fill a band. If you still play the guitar, keep up the good work
sorry to discuss on the internet, but have you heard about janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, billy holiday, due lipa, spice girls, Beyonce, etc? The music industry is open to talent with no regard to color skin, sex or even class. It is by far the most open-minded industry and it has actually promoted greater equality, helping breaking class, racial and sex barriers, by showing that talent can come from many different sides.
@@horacioplotino1894 Gosh I can't even remember posting that comment. I completely get where you're coming from, and yes artists like Janis Joplin are among some of my favourites. While I agree with you that the music industry doesn't discriminate on the basis of race or gender, its hard to dispute that a majority of female artists have had their talent overlooked. Especially as you mentions figures like the Spice Girls and Dua Lipa (although not my personal taste) they are prime examples of artists whose achievements have often been diminished and who have been reduced down to sole appearance not only by the media but the industry itself.

According to an interview with her that I saw, she just turned 18 in march. She's got a really cool video out now of an original song with her band "Ludic", called call me. Really worth checking out, it's live play all professionally recorded.

i detest this sound. it sounds brittle and flimsy (i prolly can’t use those two adjectives to describe sound, but that’s how the guitar makes me feel.)
The bridge of that guitar is the weak point of the instrument intonation not very good and plastic timber with clean sound

I spoke with her DAD 2 years ago. I had United talent wanting to back her and form a super group-with a R&R concept theme; had Jimmy Fallon set to book her for a short intro and have her play with the Roots bank thru-out the show...and her dad refused !!!!!!! She is trained in JAZZ- in Canada...and her "Manager" is a Pakistanian FRAUD !!! He knows zip about music, but has a hold on her father somehow..it's like a story line for a decent drama/Movie. Who refuses to get major backing and promotion and appear on Jimmy Fallon ????

Yes, been listening to her, since I stumbled on her page ( Ayla Tesler-Mabe ) here on RUclips. When she was just 15. Jamming away on Since I've Been Loving You, by Zeppelin. You closed your eyes and swore it was Jimmy. But when you opened them again? It was Ayla instead. Her cover of that has over 7 Million views. Great to see her popping up here and there over the last while. She makes me think of a young, female version of Todd Rundgren. He could and did EVERYTHING. Jack of all Trades and master of them all. Ayla should try and contact him. Or the 2 guys from Steely Dan, ( Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. ) who also played all the instruments on their songs.
I've seen artists use this sampling technique in concert many years ago. Stevie Wonder made broad use of it. So much fun! Obviously it helps to be tremendously talented ;-)

@@zachg7356 How exactly do you know it could have been cheaper? Pricing isn't made in a vacuum, it's a combination of R&D cost, manufacturing cost, marketing costs and sales projections. Your actual equation may have been - it could have not been made at all.

Absolutely awesome bend & vibrato. It’s one thing to have the technique but she also the musical sensibilities. So nice to see someone who has taken the time to master an instrument rather than relying on a small sampling of sounds.
