I play this with my wife and friends. We all suck so I changed the game stats to help us, like resource gathering, faster taming and other fun stuff. After watching your videos I realized that even with the buffs we still sucked hahaha.

Some people may not like long videos & that's fine but I just want to say that if you do decide to make some lengthy videos going more into detail about things in Ark I would enjoy those as well as I like lots of small details to help explain & understand things more in depth. I've decided to come up with a set definition of "early game" and to me it is until you reach lvl 38 (unlock the pt saddle) cause after that flyers become available and the game becomes more leisurely
A must sub. I've been searching for days for any decent tips and yes there may be some and a more in-depth but it's probably the best quick start tutorial guide I've seen for Ark.
Thanks for this, I'm having so much trouble getting past early game, I had a tri a parasaur and 3 lvl 50 dilos and they all got killed by one alpha raptor lol
3:17 update: there is another tab at the top of the screen, the taming tracker, from this screen you can see the taming percent, taming effectiveness, health, and food of the dino you are trying to tame, as well as track them so you can see where your new friend is at all times until fully tamed
When you got to the knockout tames part I remembered when I ran out of stone for my slingshot when trying to knockout a trike so I ran up to its side and started to just beat on it with a club
I agree with a lot of the previous comments. Great entertaining content! Even hearing what we already know after playing the game is still fun the way you express it! I have been playing Ark for a little more than 3 years on mobile. I just switched to PC a month ago. Totally different games, so in a way I am a noob. Thanks for the hard work I know goes into this. Why I haven't thought about item caches is beyond me. I've been playing this game for years, I'm not a pro, but I'm far from a noob. Embarrassed feels over here, lolol.
I kinda wish ark would make a map that's like extinction with its urban sci fi aspect, but also unlocks all tekgrams based on levels. That could be a really interesting way to play the game. I think a map like that would be a huge hit. Ideally tho a map that isn't too crazy on performance... extinction is still really laggy for me.

I wanna try ark on pc, on ps4 I never owned it but in my play time it was a glitch nightmare. On my phone the lag was worse and it frequently crashed. So I go on a new map to begin the nightmare and oh boy I hope it isn't like this on pc because there is no chance of even having fun. 27 deaths in and I van barley see the green in the level bar while the only crafting options are torches and pickaxes. Staying still is death, running for your life is eventually death, fighting is death. It would have taken me to 5 solid hours of playtime to level up once maybe not. The game was fun on ps4 using creative but if it's truly like that on all platforms then I doubt the existence of a all survival map. With how incredibly underpowered I was it would have taken 100 players moving in a pack all ganging up on small dinos trying to level up to even get a wooden foundation. Would of been fine if there wasn't a random location respawn for the guarentee of not having anything ever. So basically ark on mobile is just dying on the beach and the game crashing for hours
