DO IT. But also only write off BWA-HA-HA-HAA!!!, the fetus, and the Gurus as honorable mentions since they got their own check-outs.
Also, a good decision if you don't have the Real Mega Buster for dealing with the fetus is to get rid of the Gurus first and use their gun on him. That'll deal with him nice and quick. If you can get to the gun shop, you can lift a couple snipers to deal with the Gurus. Circular logic that works for once!

No. Both readings have always existed ever since Hanzi was adapted into Japan (and I believe yon was the one that existed before but don't quote me on that) and are used for different things. There's a trick that makes Heart of Nova a bit of a cakewalk, and it's great for speedrunning. If you take out the first five turrets and then sneak by the sixth, then take out the seventh at the right moment, there's a brief window of opportunity where you can sneak a kill on the eighth just before the scrolling reverses.
You still have to avoid getting hit by the sixth turret, but it makes the fight WAY faster.

    - Fawful Express, because the way Giant Bowser's fire breath works is very unintuitive and you've never been forced to use it perfectly

    - Elder Princess Shroob's second phase, I always take too long to beat her, I despise the music with all myself, AND if you're killed you have to beat her first phase and her sister all over again.

Everytime somebody makes an action game that requires you to use the touch screen, or a mechanic that requires use of the touch screen is shoehorned into a platforming game *cough* Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow *cough* or any other kind of game that doesn't need it, a puppy is ran over by a steam roller.

I think i misunderstood something, does the whole jeep dissapear as soon they're dead/ when it unloads/despawns/whatever, and if they respawn it appears again? And also, you're saying that, technically you can have 2 machine guns?

    • @ThatguycalledJoe
      @ThatguycalledJoe 5 лет назад +2

The jeep will despawn when you leave the area and come back after killing them. If you haven't picked up the gun, it'll despawn too. This can also happen if a cutscene plays, which can be irritating if the first night cutscene plays after you kill them but before you get the gun. I believe that driving the jeep to the underground (the only other area you can take it) will spawn another Heavy Machine Gun, but this is only helpful if you used the one to kill the driver and passenger because you can only hold one at a time.
For the same reason, while it is technically possible for two Heavy Machine Guns to exist at once by keeping the first one until they respawn, this doesn't accomplish much since you can only ever hold one at a time.

I generally dislike 'damage sponge' bosses who overstay their welcome (Cletus looks like one of those, tanking 20+ sniper rounds to the face), and nowhere is this design philosophy more apparent than in an otherwise excellent game like Metroid Prime 2. Chykka has two forms, both of which can take up to 10 minutes or longer, and the 2nd is not only very agile and hard to hit but demands the use of Super Missiles after being stunned, which can deplete your supply quickly. Sure it occasionally spawns bugs for you to shoot and refill but they usually drop energy, not missiles. Other people hate Spider or Boost Guardian, but I hate Chykka. He's not even tough, just unfairly durable and fast.

I’ll agree that The Imprisoned is a pain in HW, but I personally hate Manhandla more. Complete RNG as to whether the heads will become vulnerable, and when they do, there still is a chance of having to dodge the bullet seed first, which rips through your hearts, especially on later maps. But worst of all, sometimes, when the heads become vulnerable, your allies will hit it with a regular attack, which resets the heads. And if you’re trying to get the benefits of having your allies surround the boss, then that detail will make you regret such a feature ever existed. Also, while Manhandla Stalks generally appear independent of Manhandla itself, they’re worth mentioning for their ever painful seed attacks, constantly hitting you without warning and knocking you back. It’s enough to drive even the most skilled officers to madness.

I dislike the Big Soya from Eco Creatures (Ecolis in Europe) Save The Forest.
(For some background, the game was released on the DS, and is similar to Pikmin in gameplay. The plot is about a kingdom harming the forest, whether unintentionally or not, which you have to stop. One gameplay mechanic is that you have infinite respawns in a level, but if enemies destroy the 'Mana House, you fail the level).
Anyway, my main gripe is that the boss takes too long to defeat.
It is invulnerable until you attack a certain one of it's root/tentacle things, which periodically move toward the Mana House, and aren't much of a threat to the House if you leave some Eco Creatures there to defend it. It takes a while for the roots to get close to the House, but if you attack them earlier you risk losing a portion of your army.
Once the boss becomes vulnerable, you need to get the Eco Creatures to attack the small hitbox (which due to the controls can be tricky) before the boss becomes invulnerable again and you have to wait.
Another problem is the other attack the boss has: a strange, orange breath that attracts the Eco Creatures and causes them to stay close to the boss, doing nothing, for a bit. The attack extends in all directions, in a set radius around the boss. It does no damage, but the Eco Creatures are vulnerable to the roots' attacks while in this state, and if they're in that state while the boss itself is vulnerable, the opportunity to attack is pretty much gone.
However, this boss could be a good test of careful planning and co-ordination, if the Eco Creatures were easier to control. Some of them, if badly hurt, will try to run away from the enemy; you can go back to the Mana House or a heal tree to slowly regenerate your and their health, but this makes the fight last longer.
I do love the game regardless; it's one of the first games I remember playing, and I can tell that the makers of it did their best to make an interesting, fun game with a positive message.
Also, I wish they named the boss Audrey instead of Big Soya.

Lemme join the rant zone and talk about some of the bosses *I* hate.
Let's just start with all of Color Splash's bosses. Everybody hates these. You know why they're bad.
Oh, and let's lump togheter all of Mario & Luigi's giant bosses. Wow they're just dumb gimmicks. The worst one is not the Fawful Express! You're just blowing into the mic too hard. The worst is DT's Zeekeeper for the dumb motion control attacks that last several minutes each. DT's Giant Bowser was a BIG pain in hard mode, again for the shitty controls, but mostly for the unskippable 5-minute cutscene before each attempt. I wish BIS never included them in the series, because they're not fun gameplay-wise, they only look cool. If they didn't exist I swear BIS would be almost flawless for me. Not related, but I'm not a fan of Cackletta's Soul in 3DS either.
One more category. Kirby's secret final bosses. Truly, I love having to adapt to a new strong boss at the end of a tiresome gauntlet of bosses. I think Robobot's Star Dream Soul OS is the biggest offender by far for several reasons that Git has already talked about in the video for other bosses, (Nova and the "six-arm bitch") and its length.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon also really likes bullshit bosses. It's just a series staple at this point. My own biggest offender was Groudon. I did not enjoy fighting this level 30 fucker, stuck at about level 20, in a save room where I can't withdraw items or go back to town (for story reasons). Each attack did less than 10 damage (this is with Scarves equipped!) and Groudon has all the attacks needed to make long fights hell. I also had to watch Wigglytuff beat up Skunktank every attempt, totally didn't grow old. PSMD's Giratina is terrible too... I think. Wish I remembered more about PSMD, I keep asking myself if I liked that or EoD more and I still don't have an answer.

The flute sections in Spirit Tracks are annoying because of how picky they are with the rhythm. It's like that one music teacher that forces you to play a recorder in class. You're struggling to puff out a sustained note while their patronizing comments about trying harder following their lead aren't helping. And then sometimes you can just luck out and the game lets you pass with a mediocre performance so the whole thing feels pointless in the end anyway. Other than that though the game's solid, the creative puzzles with phantom knight Zelda were definitely the game's highlight for me.
