I knew I was sad about BTS doing this but I never thought it the way you did. BTS are definitely role models for Asians in America because we were labeled as the model minorities even though our current population is only 8% of America. But none of our history in America is taught. Even though we have experienced slavery, human trafficking, we’ve been put into camps, not even being counted in the constitution. Yes I know blacks were counted as 1/8th of a person but Asians and Hispanics didn’t even get a mention. Hispanics owned the land that is now California to Texas. Those Hispanics didn’t cross the border the border crossed them but their history isn’t being taught either. I’m rambling. But yes I agree about BTS influences on Asians in America and being our role models.

Regardless of if you enjoy the type of music BTS makes you simply cannot deny the fact that they have spread a message of love humility positivity hope joy and goodness across the globe and have united people of all walks genders nationalities ages all around the world and that is something that does not happen often it’s something that happens once in a blue moon and I believe that that message that they’ve spread and the positive culture they have created through Army and The pure love and respect they have for each other will be the glue to keep this group coming back together, and I myself having children that are half Asian I also have a sense of pride when I see them excelling, I’m so excited to see what the future holds for BTS as a group and as individuals there is still so much to come!
I've only been an Army for a few months but they became a huge part of my life very fast. And just today I realized how much positive emotions I get because of them everyday. Obviously yesterday was an emotionally weird day but already today Jungkook (my bias) came on vlive and sang for us for more than an hour and I immediately felt great again because there was something I can look forward to watching. And I also wanted to thank you for sharing what they mean to you as an Asian-American. I hoped this is the kind of impact they have but actually hearing what it means to someone was very beautiful
These guys have worked their asses off for years, so they deserve a little time to do some things on their own. Are we going to miss their group content? Sure! But they're still going to do some things as a group but focus on their individual growth. I'm excited to see where that takes each of them. It broke my heart, though, when RM expressed how he hated giving this news to ARMY in case we are disappointed in them. Never.

The only things I fear of solo careers in a boy group is solo stan wars, its really bad. Army has so many solo stans who were waiting for this moment for years
I am sad but happy at the same time for the members. I will always support them. BTS has been a part of my life since 2019. Not a day goes by that I did not listen or watch BTS. They brought me joy, happiness and sadness. They make amazing music that touches my soul like no other group or artist. I am looking forward to their solo albums and ready to cheer Hobi on at Lollapalooza. And let’s not forgot “Run”, OMG, what a great song. BTS left us with three powerful songs. I can’t wait for their reunion album.

Be it a hiatus, a long group break - I don’t think anybody knows unless you are them. but none of us know what’s exactly happening next. But the way you described it was so beautifully. You and I been on this journey together for a long time and I just wanna say thank you for what you put out today. I agree, they don’t and haven’t gotten the respect, but look at HYBE/BigHit now, it has been built into a 9B dollar business in less than 15 years, mostly due to this great bunch of guys. I have so enjoyed this chapter. I am so looking forward to their individual growth and ventures. When they get back together as BTS I sense it will be more amazing than ever. I was sad at first, but I think it's hard for them because they were moving out of that location and being in their own places full time. But yeah, any change can be scary. I really think this will be good for them to do their solo projects. I believe with my whole heart that this will be a good thing for them. They will learn and grow and come back together stronger as individuals, which will help them as a group. So I'm glad you saw the HYBE post, because they set it straight about them not being on Hiatus. They will still be doing group projects, it's just that their solo projects are first right now. I'm glad HOBI is first, because he will thrive. I see that happening with him. I'm happy for them, and I will be here for them 100%. ARMY FOR LIFE! 💜
I found BTS 4 years ago, when I was 50 yrs old. BTS helped me “find myself” after raising 3 kids. They brought pop music back into my life. They opened up friendships for me on multiple continents, people I talk with EVERY single day. They made me much more aware of discrimination. They helped me forge a bond with my daughter. Last but not least, at the age of 54, I’m learning another language!! 안녕하세요!

Ok two things to say before I watch the whole thing. You listen to 'Run BTS' not 'Run' they're two different songs, yeah it get confusing. (yes i skipped a head to check and then went back to the beginning) To BTS means comfort to me they've got me through some hard times and I'll support them no matter what they decide to do with their music etc.
J-Hope is the first to have solo coming out. He's headlining at Lollapalooza in Chicago July 31st. Wasn't sure if you knew that. It feels like then it will be Jimin, Suga and Jungkook, then RM, V and then Jin, but who really knows for sure. I just know Jungkook said he'd be after Suga and Jin said he'd be the last. Thank you for your thoughts. I'm truly hoping they come back from their solo works to perform again as a group, perhaps without all the restrictions the idol groups have about dating, etc. etc. That said, I'll support their solo works too, and looking forward to seeing what each of them brings.
I feel like the term hiatus got to big of a meaning😅 They are taking a break from making music together. What other group activities we'll see? I guess we have to wait how it all turns out. I don't think the HYBE Statement contradicts what they said. Anyway, quite sad about less group activities and music for the forseeable future but I love how they let us in in their thought process and honest feeling and from that I am really happy that they are obviously doing the right thing.

I'm sad for me (selfishly) because it'll be a while before I get to see them live and enjoy new group music. I'm happy for them, because they deserve to have some individual time after the grind of the past 13 years (10 active + 3 training approximately). They have restored my faith in the possibility of individuals building community and changing the world. On a lighter note, I'm afraid for my wallet. Seven projects to support may get a tad expensive. (joke)
Yes but also them being Korean and doing what they did.. doesn't it empowers Korean people even more (and people in general)? But specially Korean people that have a culture of people who work so damn hard. And when they go outside of Korea also need to work twice as hard compared to other people because of all the racism and stuff like this. So BTS saying: it's ok to take a break, it's ok to have time for YOU, it's ok to change your life if there is something that doesn't make you happy, it's ok to try a new thing you never tried before. Even if it's scary, we BTS also feel scary because all the changes are. But isn't it the best to do? And them doing it while being on the most crazy industries that is kpop industry and saying and doing all that and giving the example to other groups, other regular people in Korea, other people all over the world that YOU as a individual need to be a priority for yourself. And it's not like they are disbanding. They literally doing it to be better as a group! Isn't all of it it the best message they could have ever done? . . . ;) PS: also i recommend you to never pay much attention to what's being said on twitter/online if you are not 100% sure they are a true army. And i REALLY recommend you to just sit and watch this 1 hour long video and hear EVERYTHING from the boys themselves. :)
