Generally when BTS uses autotune they apply it specifically to bring to life the “shadow”, our dark side or repressed thoughts. That’s why you can see the difference between their voice and the voice of the shadow.

@@PurpleBias7 It was something that was commented on Twitter some time ago, when Yoongi released Shadow, there Yoongi also uses autotune to give life to his shadow, but yes, it is something that they have been using and showing us in different ways, such as in the Black Swan Art film perform mv where the dancers represent the shadow and how the dancer fights with his own shadow until it becomes part of him.

This was there last concert as a group, this was in Oct 2022 and Jin enlisted Dec. It was streamed, not sure the language to accurately described but they broker the servers, had so many views they sis not have the band width. please react to IU eight ft suga and the dkdktv explained after its like a continuation of ugh narratively even tho they never said so. both were released the same year. ugh was released feb 2020 and eight was released may 2020. it felt like bts became close with iu slowly each member due to this. now iu is close with 3 members 100% not sure about the others beyond jk going to one of her concerts. v and jhope also went to a different concert years later but also took pics with her which was this year on their break day during the army. but jk went a few years ago. so idk how close he is with her etc similarly to the other members. she just seems publicly closest with v, jhope and suga. anyways youll understand why i emphasized this its just cause im happy she has support and people who understand the lifestyle to lean on and talk to etc.

One of my translator pet peeves - watering down language unnecessarily. This isn't international business or diplomacy, it's a rap song - words mean things! In the context of this song, "poop" is not a strong enough word for the lyrics and aggressive delivery, and it takes readers out of the flow of the song because it's jarring. If you're dodging censors, just use "s***" or "sh--" and keep it moving. There are translators (even color-coded channels) that do a better job with this, but they usually aren't the first ones to post (and therefore don't get the most views). It's a good reminder of the importance of using more than one translation when reading text in another language (learning said language would be ideal, but isn't always practical). Sorry - not a critique of you, TEEJ (expecting someone to do comparative translation during a music reaction is unrealistic and unreasonable), just a general frustration. 😉💜 Fellow ARMYs (especially the biligual/multilingual ones), are there any YT-based translators that you feel do a good job with BTS lyrics?
Ahh I know it is not on you, but this lyrics video is sooo bad, I know it is high when people look, but it is high bc everyone clicks it and give numbers... But sometimes it worth not to click first one or the one with biggest numbers. This video has so much mistakes in who is rapping, plus the english translation is soo weak... I feel so angry every time I see people reacting using this video 😅 bc it isn't that hard to hear who is rapping when.
