As time passes and the further away from the relationship that I become, the more that I recognize neither one of us truly knew how to love ourselves. This, in turn, was the death of our relationship. For those that are hurting from a breakup, I pray for you in your healing journey and hope that you will spend time to learn how to love the person you are.

You hit it right on the head!!! She walked away like she didn't care about me at all... I was blown away and shocked, as if I never knew this woman. I felt like she faked our whole relationship. She was so cold, a totally different woman. Told me she didn't love me and never loved me, and was never in love with me. WOW!!! I felt we had a very good relationship! Guess I may have been wrong!!

I felt that way as well that the person never cared and never loved me, now they are with someone else, you leave it alone and enjoy the fact you are now free of it, you are no longer investing in that person

I had to resubscribe... nearly 4 years after it ended, I still feel like I can't get over her.... worse part, is it only lasted 4 months... why am I such a baby!??
I worry about that too: mine was also a short relationship and I can’t understand why I can’t leave it behind.
@@sivanandayoga2801 they say it's sometime harder to move on when you're still falling hard... the dopamine and chemicals going crazy, then suddenly pulled out! .. not to mention the ruminating about "what could have been?"... Trust me, you're not alone... wish more breakup coaches did videos on this topic..
@@Sams911 Yes, it's true. I think it is traumatic, when they leave so suddenly. I mean, I've had longer relationships that have failed, and I've been able to deal with it much better: it made sense, I knew it wasn't working out, etc. So I guess that's what we have to work on: accepting something that we won't fully comprehend.
I’ve been in an on again and off again relationship for the past 5 yrs but each time I felt like I was starting over. For me I felt I gave my all in the relationship,I guess with me giving my all I felt it hurt so much more. My ex is avoidant and I’m anxious. I’m starting to realize I was pushing her away and didn’t realize it. This last breakup has been so different for the other’s that we had. I’ve begged,even drove by her work and her place and I’ve never done this before. It got to the point she threatened to get a restraining order. I’m not sure if my ex is seeing anyone but she blamed me for everything she was doing. This shit sucks. I try to keep myself busy but I can’t stop thinking about her. I wish you all the best and hope you can find your peace.

This is a similar issue I had. I think I am anxious but he wouldn’t ever tell me his needs. I kept trying to push him to but he never did.

Yep, and in my experience cheating is equally common across all cultures and societies now. No stereotype is accurate about certain cultures’ values about faithfulness or waiting until you’re married.

@@Dad_Brad It's just easier. Before it was a phone, now you can easily start something with anyone through a game or whatever. Online communities open all sorts of doors for emotional cheating, at the very least.
My ex when I pointed out not to talk with this other guy when we were going through our Breakup came and said I'll talk more with him. it's surreal to even think of
He never loved me. There's no other explanation. I kept picking up on inconsistent behavior and calling it out. I had no idea how on point my intuition was 😢

He was so evil I didn't know who he was. I go to therapy weekly but still so sad. I see how I did all wrong things.
I was married 35 yrs and have 3 grown girls. Ihe went back to ex gf from high school but told me we r over was cold and hateful had no value to him. I did all the wrong reach outs but he got hot on and thought oh I don't need my wife. 2 yrs later still no talk from him. He prob said to himself mind over matter. I still grieve ame he went right into a relationship. I.dont understand how he could do this. He told me he needed space but then 3 mo's later got email saying over.
I'm so sorry that's awful. I know it's not what you want to hear but you deserve better than someone who would leave you high and dry like that after 35 YEARS. Here's hoping you find happiness in the future whether that's with a new partner or not

This is what is happening to me. I broke up with my ex almost 3 months ago,we work together and even if he speaks to me,after one month from the break up,he has started to chase another girl at work. This hurts me so much and I told him to stop doing this in front of me and he responded so coldly and rudely like a was a stranger.

My ex started seeing someone about 3-4 months after our breakup and said she didn't think about me since. We tried to work on our relationship since that but she wasn't honest and I burned myself.
No contact for soon 8 months and I have to accept that she actually never liked me.
