BLOOD SIMPLE (1984) Fake Trailer starring Bruce Campbell

Bruce Campbell as the victim (Marty) in the original 1984 fake trailer of Ethan und Joel Coen's BLOOD SIMPLE.
Bruce never starred in the film and the trailer is more "Evil Deadish" than the actual film.
They even used the typical "The Evil Dead" ram-o-cam, the background noise (wind) and the kandarian demon noise for the trailer to sell the movie (marketing gag).
I think the trailer was directed by the Coen Brothers and by Sami Raimi

Wonder if the eventual investors were happy or pissed with the final product, since it was not like a Evil Dead crime film.

Actually it was done by the Cohens and Barry Sonnenfeld. It was Raimi's suggestion to create the trailer first and use it to raise the $750,000 needed to make the film.
