Dude I test rode the 2024 adventure sports with DCT and I was blown way by how relaxing it was in traffic. The rider fatigue it saves is sensational. I also think it depends on which type of bike it is. A touring bike makes sense with DCT while a 1390 superduke doesn’t.
@@SickBikeDude exactly my thoughts too bud! I previously had a 2019 1000 ATAS DCT, which I loved. Sadly lost to a garage fire at home. When it came time to replace it, I only had one bike in mind, and that was the 1100 ATAS DCT ES, which I collected in mid April 2014. Literally the best bike I have owned in 40 years of riding!
@@nigelpugh hell yea! Since I already have a 2017 speed triple I want something that takes all work out for me since my wife wants to 2 up and is just chill. At this point I’m still undecided between DCT and standard with a bi directional quick shifter. I honestly don’t care about hp anymore and the ATAS is fast enough for me and it’s the best looking adv out there. slap a black widow exhaust on it and that’s all she wrote lol.
Wyoming is incredible. You’d like the summer there. Nice breeze, dry heat so even at 32c you’re not sweaty. Most stunning place I’ve ever been. Jackson Hole
I picked up my adventure sports dct es on thursday. Today first tour and I love it! Such a good riding experience! And, as always, awesome video, looking forward for the next ones, I'm eager to know what you think about this bike.
Have fun and congrats!! Already riding my own bike that I unboxed for two weeks now. But I LOVED the Adventure Sports!!! It's soooo good! 😂👌 Asked Honda if I could keep the 21inch front wheel one that I unboxed for a year or so haha
DCT is really excellent! Once you understood how to use it, you anticipate and start shifting gear with your brain. And that’s way faster than any quickshifter foot operated 😉
Spoiler alert....it's really good!! 😂 Videos coming , now I'm riding the bike I rode in Spain. Asked Honda if I could keep it for a year or so. It's soooo good 😅
Its easy to judge people for what they ride but its stupid. I drove an nc 750x dct for one year because i had a bicycle accident and couldnt use my hip but still wanted to ride. After a year it was better and now i ride a non dct transalp again but dct definitely was good.
I suppose you like more the 21 inch maybe with normal gearing but quick shift... A 19" with not a full right shoes (120/70 not a 110... And 150 and not a 170)...
Yep it's allowed in Belgium up to a max of 50km/u and your warning lights need to be on if you have them. Also did it in Germany , didn't know that it's not allowed 😅
I don't think DCT is hated because it exists, I think it is hated because it is forced. DCT is amazing, for people that need it or just want it. But it sucks for people that don't want or need it. I am sure many people would have loved a 19in front wheel AT with a manual transmission, to have a Honda that is great for touring, lower seat, while still being able to do some off road. But Honda decided that if you want a 19in AT, you are forced to use a DCT. That's what people dislike, when corpo's decide what the buyers "want". It's how you lose customers in the long run.
I thought some other reviewers from America said some models are only available in Europe. Not sure if the 19inch is only available in dct in Europe and US. 🙈 But I agree with you on that point for sure.
Don't listen to r-words talking crap about dct.... According to american scientists 100% of them didn't even tried it. Honda's dct is the best feature in motorcycles since abs
well here you go im gonna give my 2 pence worth .. people will moan if a bike does not have a quick shifter or blipper ..but isnt that already a semi automatic ?
Aloha Smokjey the man. sindq ik die Smokey T shirt heb, moet ik de vrouwen van mij slaan, kreeg ook al enkele heren hun telefoon nummer, och ja . Whooohooow cheers Smokey The man Greatings from The Good Mojo Wheeler. Heb mijn gs 1200 kapot gereden , dju toch .
I'm from Africa Kenya 🇰🇪 and I'm 8 years old I have been watching your videos for 3 years now, you are my favourite youtuber
I love my 1100 DCT ES, I don’t care if people say I have mangina as Smokey says, I never want another bike without DCT again!

Well you've done it again, a good informative review with some humour. Keep it up.
TNF, always enjoy it there, and with an adventure 2 cylinder from Paraiso bikes, double the enjoyment 😁👍

Can’t wait to see what you think about it.
You would think that a 20min video named "first ride" may actually include some useful information

My next choice of bike has been narrowed down to the Suzuki 1050 and the AT. I'm looking forward to your take on the AT.
This is good adventure bike model from Honda smokey😊
Looking forward to hearing your opinion on this bike after some more ride time. Thanks.

Is this the bike You unboxed a few video's ago? or is it another one?
De nieuwe gsa is leeeelllijk. Ik heb de 900gs gekocht. Denk dat dit de enige. Redelijk offroad is

Hey Smokey, just want to know if lane splitting is offical allowed in Belgium? Cause we are not allowed to do that here in Germany.

you use clips from the office , but you sound like michael from the office :d
You should finally testride a Harley, fat boy or a breakout, would like te see your view on it.
