- Announcing the KnowU™, Know Labs' wearable non-invasive continuous glucose monitor (CGM). The KnowU incorporates the sensor the Company plans to submit to the FDA for clearance. This proprietary radio-frequency (RF) dielectric sensor has been tested and proven stable and accurate in a lab setting and is now miniaturized and wearable. The KnowU can be worn with an adhesive, allowing the user to clip the sensor on and off or on the wrist or forearm with a strap. The device, which is significantly smaller and lighter than the prototype, includes on-board computing power and built-in machine learning capabilities. The KnowU is designed to optimize the customer experience - expected to last for years, eliminate costly disposables, have a rechargeable battery, and connect with an easy-to-use companion mobile app.
Know Labs, Inc. is headed in the right direction. As a Type 1 for 58 years, I've seen the improvements in medicine and technology. The key to success for KnowU will be further miniaturization, partnering with the insulin pump market (Insulet, Tandem, Medtronic, etc.) to be part of today’s available “closed loop” systems, a strategy to educate and market internationally and to the U.S., and continued ongoing development. Nothing here. Know Labs, Inc. doesn’t already know, but I look forward to the FDA approval and product release date.
Awesome! I want one! I hope it hits the market soon.
It is awesome, but I guess they still don't have the algorithm finalized for FDA trials. Miniaturization looks like it has been a problem and I don't think the accuracy is quite there yet. But they are making progress. This is not an easy task. Good work.
I'd love one of these.
Wow. What a great advance. This team has customer service foremost in mind. So exciting.
Great update! It looks incredibly innovative and promising. Can't wait to see how it revolutionizes the market! Keep up the fantastic work!
This is pretty exciting for me. I currently use the Dexcom G6 (and have used the G5 and the Freestyle Libre in the past) and have a horrible allergic reaction to the adhesive they use on them. I have to line the bottom adhesive with HyTape or else I literally cannot wear them. It's not a deal breaker but it takes a lot of extra time to cut the tape and apply it to the sensor every time I need to change it. Fingers crossed this really works and gets brought to market!!
I can't wait to share this news with my Endocrinologist, this is amazing stuff you've been able to come up with! Thank you for your innovative ideas!
Finally a non invasive glucometer maker willing to put a brand on the product.
If this is not a joke, then this could revolutionise not just living with diabetes, but also in preventing type 2 diabetes for people with eating disorders. I don't have diabetes, but I definitely get one if it will be available in Switzerland/EU.
No its not....i was on a podcast the other night with the owner - im an investor in the company for the last couple of years....and yes ill be buying more stock today!
No way this will be accurate enough to dose with. The tech just isn't there... yet.
@@ZackMuffinMan It is. Its working and now theyve got a final device they have to go through all of the testing again before FDA application.
What are you supposed to during the daily charging? A pump needs a constant flow of data in order to basal. This is a major problem with the two hour warm up for Dexcom but that's only once every 10 days, not daily. During the daily charging, it is useless for diabetics. The two hours every 10 days are bad enough. I can't imagine doing it daily. It also said "estimate" levels. Estimations are not good enough when dosing based on them could kill someone. I don't see this as a product for diabetics yet. Just another useless thing for hypochondriacs to worry about. If approved by the FDA, it probably won't be approval to base any treatment on. Maybe in the future but as it sits, I don't see much here for current treatment.
@@ZackMuffinMan Well, thats kinda the point isnt it...FDA approval...if they apply and get FDA approval then its fit for purpose...
Amazing, hope it reaches the market soon
Being a type1 diabetic eagerly waiting for the day
Amazing! I am from India and use the Abbot CGM. Would be glad to participate in a trial and even purchase a prototype if possible
Same here ready to participate in trial and even purchase a prototype
You specifically mentioned accessibility... Were you talking about price accessibility, or say making sure it is accessible for blind people to use? Hoping the latter.
When will it be available for the public? If you need testers I am volunteering for the cause.
I am not familiar with the KnowU. Currently, I am using the Freestyle Libre 2. I am volunteering for a trail of the KnowU. Thank you.
I’m so excited!!
Will this arm band format be available only after FDA approval? They were and probably still working on a wrist band format. So exciting!
Show me the test with the accuracy percentage and I'll definitely take it. But honestly putting on a libre is no big deal
I have a dog who is diabetic and we use freestyle libre 2. We are volunteer for using it
Will expect this to proliferate into watches and rings.
When can we expect to use this in global markets
I am very much like to try this as I am diabetes. It will help to try.
Hiw can we participate in trials qnd use a prototype in India
Good news! How about collaboration with pomp producers to connect CGM and insulin pomp as a loop
So, when can I buy one?
The Know Labs device is designed to optimize the customer experience - expected to last for years, eliminate costly disposables, have a rechargeable battery, and connect with an easy-to-use companion mobile app.
Too big and can be knocked off unintentionally. What is mard relative to reference?
I think it's neat tech. Was a tiny shareholder for over a year. Not one currently. Don't want to box them in, but will skin color matter? I think it's ok to nail down the tech with more translucent skin at first, but we'll want to know eventually.
From my understanding, this technology uses radio frequency as apposed to light. Would not be affected by skin tones
@@kruelkind3424 oh, right. i mixed this one up with the fruit company’s challenges in monitoring glucose.
Pamp it
I had high hopes for the company but Yesterday Know Labs accepted millions from proven toxic lenders. The CEO must know. I sold my shares of KNW this morning and so sad to predict that their stock price will be below $1 in a few months, if not sooner. Bad move on the company's part.
any updates?
I bet 100$ it doesn't work
They literally already have study data showing it does
