The reason people drink is because the social infrastructure in many countries, particularly in the west is revolved around pubs and bars and people go to these places to socialise.Throw in the need to lower social anxieties and stress and you have a recipe for addiction. Alcohol is a poison and the drinker loses about 13 years of life. It's a horrible disease. My heart goes out to those who still suffer! Thanks for the inspiring video Kevin!❤🙏

It stinks that I had to drink so long in order to "socialize" when all that bought me was loss of sleep, loss of exercise, depression and effort that could have gone into bettering myself and helping other people.
I can only say that being close to "boring" non-drinkers was a big help in moving on as you can just align your goals with theirs. Better friends and more viable romantic partners. It's just a better life in the end for everyone involved.

It could go on longer and down many paths . Our cultures all over the world are playing along with this big lie. It becomes so obvious when you exit the trap. The booze section at the grocery looks like a toy store to me now. You can see how its targeted as fun and exciting with all the clever names and colors and weird artwork and powerful images of how cool youll be when you slurp down this or that brand of poison. Its bizzarro. Young people have moved out of the toy section straight to the booze. Same coloring same marketing same trap.

TV soaps are allways showing characters drinking & depict it in a wholly inaccurate way. In the Chris Nolan Batman films Bruce Wayne would actually pretend to be drunk but would be seen to be throwing away glasses of champagne... roll on a few years however & they have Ben Affleck pouring scotch out of a crystal decanter (this trope is such a cliche in cinema, I have never worked anywhere that has someone keep a decanter of scoth in their office...it's just a cliche used in cinema to normalise alcohol consumption when you're tired & stressed). Not an alcoholic at all, but not happy with some habits Ive had. Not a drop for 7 days and I feel great for it. Not planning to be a teetotaler but, who knows. Time for a reset for my habits and health. Good sleep. Feel better about myself already.

I have figured out that when it comes to getting your money, industry, especially in consumer goods, takes it to scientific and ruthless ends to do it. This product buys houses and puts kids through school for the executives that sell it, but at an amazingly high societal cost. I work in the defense industry, I suppose this industry that creates more precise and potent weaponry rides the fine moral line. I guess we can say the threat of state against state violence has a moderating effect, but as I get older I know this stuff ends up under the control of psychopaths.

It’s funny this happened at an Indian restaurant since that culture generally restricts meat consumption and alcohol.

5 years without a drop in June for me, lost many friends to the drink though.
Alcohol does more harm and kills more than all the illegal drugs combined.
The only thing that comes close is pharmaceuticals, also legal.

So many TV shows & Movies have & are still "normalizing" alcolol use, & being hung over is almost a badge of honor. Having a drink or two with a friend. Partying till you puke. Having a couple glasses of wine or some kind of whiskey on the rocks when a character gets stressed out, & getting a bit too drunk is usually funny, watching or dealing with their friend being drunk & dumb. It is everywhere, & buying your 1st drink when you turn of age is another badge if honor. Being dumb drunk teenagers is always cool for movies. IDK - it often gets "normalized" & "glorified". Plus the fact you can get it ANYWHERE - it makes it seem like the normal thing to do, & when you say "no thank you, I don't drink" you get stared at like they are waiting for You to say "NOT!! -LOL!! SURE, give me a drink!!". Then People ask "never?" Or "Are you not feeling well?". When you finally say "I DON'T DRINK - I never do!" They ask "why" & if I say anything other than "I just don't - it's just not for me" they will assume that you have an alcohol problem that you are dealing with. It can be frustrating, but that's the only way I have seen people question how much THEY drink. Otherwise they think "oh - that person is an alcoholic, & I'm not, so I don't care about whatever they say.". It's weird because if when they finally understand you don't drink because you don't enjoy it, they will say things like "yeh, I only drink a bit of wine on the weekends" or something like that because they don't want for YOU to think that THEY drink TOO much - at least". I find it kinda funny when that happens. IDK - everything in moderation right!? That's fine with me - If someone else drinks, that is fine, but if they are always drunk & dumb, I haven't the time.

What's worrying is that this video only has about 5k views and the channel only has 60k subs. This is the most common sense 13 minutes anyone is likely to listen to but 99.99% of people just aren't interested. They'd rather watch a cat playing the piano getting 30 million views or something else just as puerile and pointless.

that Hot babe giving you that look loving
Look...Mine would end up with me puking behind the Rose's, hating the day.
