“Mushrooms are the worst for that” For those that haven’t done shrooms Steve-O’s description is the most accurate imo. The first time I did shrooms, it was fun, felt like I was drunk & was seeing colors with my eyes closed BUT the second time I was just putting myself on trial, like how Steve-O puts it best, I started to put myself in the shoes of others around me like my family & friends like “damn maybe I should be easier on them” or “maybe I don’t deserve to be in their life, they’d be better off without me” I just started crying my eyes out. Joe Rogan also said it best because you have all these problems that you don’t address & that was an effect from smoking weed for me cause I was short-tempered & I complained too much on my life, you know like how when you smoke, the first few hours you’re chill but hours later when you don’t smoke you tend to get a little agitated with everything, maybe that’s just me who was just fienin’ for another hit lmao. But after that trip I start to think & understand about others emotions better, like “maybe this guy is having a rough day, that’s why he’s upset” or “maybe I should take it easy on the way I approach people” shrooms is a magical drug but I would advice to be at peace with those around you before you do it because that trip was exhausting. I wouldn’t call it a bad trip, more like an awakening of my inner self & how to perceive others emotions better. In other words, don’t take shrooms if you’re an asshole. Lmfaoooo
Completely agree man. Wouldn’t have called it a bad trip, but it definitely opened my eyes to all my negative traits. I decided after the trip to get some professional help and it was the greatest thing I ever did for myself. To this day I don’t think I would be the same person without experiencing that eye opening and frightening experience
Nah, you should do it if you are an asshole lol, it could help straighten you out. In your case, it taught you how to be more empathetic. These are the sometimes the harsh truth that we NEED to learn about ourselves, because in the end, it makes us better humans. I used to be an asshole (not in general, but to certain important people in my life) until I started taking shrooms. I've always battled with at least some level of anxiety and depression, but since taking shrooms 12 or 13 years ago, my overall quality of life has vastly improved. The only time someone shouldn't take shrooms are when they are in a vulnerable state. If you're feeling good, eat a couple grams and feel even better. You might have to go through some shit to get to that feeling-better point, but in most cases, it's almost always worth it. It's basically intense self-therapy.
Hallucinogens are dumb cause their just that. Hallucinations. Not real. What you think and how you feel on them isn’t something you have deep down and a drug helps you feel it. You’re just not that person. Called hallucinogens for a reason. Not real bro!
Scott Lambert That might be a better theory actually. I’ve heard that smokers’ lungs supposedly clear all that tar and crap out after a few years of abstaining. But I could see how coke drips could cause some serious long term corrosion of the vocal cords.

Growing up watching Steve-os struggle and recover from drugs and seeing him so open about it has honestly kept me away from alot of hard drugs in life. Same with weed. Declan Andrew they’re just talking about drugs yo he’s not preaching. It’s just a convo. No disrespect, Steve o was literally talking about doing nitrous oxide. He’s been sober for 11 years like you said. Pretty sure he can talk about drugs comfortably.
Kudos to Steve-o for getting and staying sober. Beating drug and alcohol addiction is no picnic which is why a lot of people don't try. I've been addicted to whatever I could afford over a large part of my life and I have nothing but admiration for anyone who gets straight and sober before it kills them, because it will!
It only leads to jails, institutions and death. I did the jails and institutions so I'm getting sober AGAIN before it makes me kill myself, because that's exactly where addiction brings me now, sitting in my flat isolating away from everyone who loves me for days on end with the curtains constantly pulled and listening to devil sitting on my shoulder telling me the world and everyone's lives would be a lot better without me in it.

Joe trying to impress Steve-O talking about and dropping in that he has a friend who sells weed. This guy literally snorted his dealer's blood. I have to laugh.
@Troy Witherman yeah Steve-O had a dealer friend that used to inject his cocaine instead of snorting it. One time Steve-O goes to visit him and the guy is out cold on the sofa asleep, and on the table is a load of left over coke and dried blood. Steve-O out of desperation scraped it all together and snorted the whole lot. Worse thing about it though was Steve-O later found out the guy was HIV positive, so he had to get tested, luckily he wasn’t affected by it and HIV free.
Joe Rogan trying to explain how revolutionary pot is to the man who used to Smuggle pot into asia by eating it and picking it out of his actual Shit is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen
Thing is, there's layers to weed depending on the level you're at as a person. I used to smoke every day through highschool, just abuse it. When I got older, more knowledge, wisdom, awareness of spirituality and all these different aspects of life.. Weed became an entirely different animal. Most people use it mindlessly, as I did and I suspect Steve O did. But once you've opened those gates in your life, weed can be a pretty powerful tool and catalyst for your potential when used wisely.

As someone who lives in Australia, Plain Packaging did work to an extent, when it was introduced cigarette quit rates went up an insane amount. Sure there’s still the cocky bastards that say “yeah, that shit won’t happen to me” But the point of the plain packaging is that it no longer had the glamorous look that the regular packaging had, it was meant to make you look at the health risks every time you went to take a ciggie out. And it definitely got people thinking harder about it.
@Dovydas Simulynas smoking weed can also give you multiple forms of cancer and there are people who have died of for example lung cancer from smoking just green. The intoxication itself from weed, the thc, cannot kill you no, but smoking still poses health risks no matter what you smoke.

Steve-O is the PERFECT example of that. A recovered addict with a complete new lease and take on life.

hardness has nothing to do with it. I think what Joe was trying to say was that Steve doesn't have to lock himself down to the point of being scared that one drug habit will lead him down a bad path of abuse. Most people discover drugs as teenagers and think it's this gateway to all knowledge and enlightenment. Then they grow up, realize that drug induced delusions aren't enlightenment, and move on. Steve O is a great example for inspiration. I'm two months pot free and i can honestly say it was toxic for me and many people I know. Im happy it works for joe.. But im with steveo. The introspection is too self deprecating. I'm self critical enough when I'm sober I don't need to turn myself into a punching bag. Either that or it was a sleep aid or a tool for escapism. Either way you look at it I am sad at how normalized smoking marijuana is now. I smoked every day for almost 9 years...
Totally. I was a pothead on and off for 17 years. Over the last 2 years I've mostly quit. I smoke occasionally but I'll go months without it. My life has improved massively. I convinced myself for a longtime that weed made me better. But it doesn't. It just doesn't.
Totally feel the same. However, I think Joe was coming from a place of doing it once as an intense way to look into yourself. At times, I regret my use, but more than not I'm glad it made me see myself and reality in a new way. I can't tell you if I was tapping into a new realm of consciousness or reality or if all of it was just a bad trip, but it made me change my behavior in a more empathetic way. People's experiences of course will defer depending on where you are in life, but man was that one powerful outlet to plug into. Can't say I miss it, can't say I enjoyed it, but I can say it was indeed powerful.
its called addiction. having said that taking a lot of drugs and being high all the time kind of makes you appreciate being sober. I know i value being sober more and in control after the experiences ive had
I had to stop the weed because of the exact description Rogan gave. I ended up too hyper aware of everything, even stupid stuff I said back in school and through the years. It just made everything so anxiously present and hyper real. There were some good experiences, especially with music and as long as I could channel my contemplation. But the anxiety got very noisy and consistent enough that I just had to knock it on the head. I would get random thoughts like "what if my mum calls me crying right now and tells me my dad has just collapsed and died". It was just too real. Weed has never made me feel relaxed about anything. Alcohol, on the other hand... always reliable. I prefer the "blunt" high. Something to shush the mind rather than make it race.
I feel like joe forgets that other people are not him and drugs effect different people every differently, what can be a healthy medication to him could really hurt another person.
Joe is convinced that as long as something doesn't create a physical dependancy, it can't be addictive lol. Steve o says additcts have to go completely cold turkey on all substances. Joe says he thinks addicts can enjoy a glass of wine and used Anthony Bourdain as an example.
It depends on the addict. Some people can get away with smoking a joint once in awhile when they are a recovering heroin addict. Other people can't risk it because it makes them want to get even higher. Perfect example is I'm a recovering addict but still smoke weed once in awhile. My brother is a addict and he cannot do any drugs at all when he's clean because it makes him go right back to the dope. I know some people are going to call me crazy but I feel like God has a lot to do with it too. That's why the second step in the 12-step program is let go to a higher power. My brother never did that and he never got clean. I did and now I've been clean for five years
I had a huge epiphany while on acid regarding the same thing their talking about. It’s legit crazy how much your perspective, and your mental state really affects you and those around you

In other words, don’t take shrooms if you’re an asshole. Lmfaoooo
Completely agree man. Wouldn’t have called it a bad trip, but it definitely opened my eyes to all my negative traits.

Quit weed 4 years ago. Don't regret it a bit. It was slowly sucking the life out of me even though it didn't feel like that at the time
Joe rogan is in denial
I couldn't agree more. It's toxic to me.
Felt this one really hard
I feel like joe forgets that other people are not him and drugs effect different people every differently, what can be a healthy medication to him could really hurt another person.
Joe “ I smoke weed everyday brahhh” Rogan
“the morbid flogging of oneself” is the most accurate depiction of how my anxiety feels, no matter what i do i fucking suck.
It’s as if rogan is convinced that marijuana doesn’t apply to people who’ve dealt with debilitating addiction.
x\in\mathbb{R} Steve-o always talks about drugs with other people, joe wouldn’t have mentioned it if it was an uncomfortable subject.
Joe is convinced that as long as something doesn't create a physical dependancy, it can't be addictive lol. As if no one has ever had a gambling, porn addiction etc. Basically just because he won't stand anyone saying a single negative thing about weed, because he thinks smoking is a personality trait.
Because joe is still an addict. Most addicts are in denial.
@@patrickbateman4541 Right But pot changes the way you perceive and react to the world. Joe says Well what if you are a asshole and pot makes you more of one.?? Everything is in each person's perspective
@@eyesopen4607 idk what ur getting at exactly but I agree with the last part
How is Steve O even alive after all the insane amount of drugs he's done.
MIimo Reii many drugs aren’t as physiologically dangerous as they’re made out to be and Steve Os actually quite smart. He avoided opiates and barbiturates for the most part and these are the most dangerous for heavy users (heroin in particular).
Have you ever even heard of kieth Richards ?
chicken29843 true dat. I did xanax for 2 weeks and when I stopped I hardly slept for 3 days. Can’t imagine what long term use would do to people
Hearing Steve-O’s voice just reminds me of America, high school summers, being drunk af, getting stoned at sunset with the coolest friends and just living life.
...I’ve always lived in the UK😆
I did and now I've been clean for five years
I know a guy who is a recovering drug addict. He can still drink though
That laugh of Steve O sounds like a a guitar just being dragged through a desert
Deep, man. Deep.
Df does that mean
Like Alec baldwin eating piano keys
80 ppl are so gay for liking your shitty comment and your even gayer for writing it
How the fuck do you know what guitar being dragged through a desert sounds like?
Steve-o is awesome down to earth relatable person. I would love to meet him someday.
Steve O : I sober
Joe Rogan: Absolute Fire Stardawg & Gilato 10/10 don't miss out going quick get at me
Steve-o always talks about drugs with other people, joe wouldn’t have mentioned it if it was an uncomfortable subject.
Joe “can never be wrong” rogan
Evan Pickett it’s cause he usually isn’t, he researches the shit he says, and makes sure it’s true. You guys are so fucking stupid 😂😂
Major facts, he thinks he is always right when in reality it’s like, sorry Joe but not all of us feels weed benefits us, jus bc it does for u
I use to be a real pothead at my 16 to 19, now I’m 25 and I can’t handle that high, I feel guilt all the time and weak.
"Well hey man sounds like you're working a great spiritual program with you edibles."
Hahaha
I started laughing my arse off when he said that
I love Joe. But he is LYING!!! He would NOT choose yoga over pot! hahaha
Elitesportstakes yeah that’s definitely not true 😂😂
Not true, joe only smoke like twice a week. He doesn’t let drugs control him. Sorry bro, you tried.

Steve: "Yeah, like is a quantum physics kind of sense?"
Joe: "I don't know. I'm too stupid for that."
Steve: "Right, me too."
💀💀💀
Steve-O is a surprisingly intelligent dude.
Joe can't go half an hour without mentioning edibles
I had a huge epiphany while on acid regarding the same thing their talking about. It’s legit crazy how much your perspective, and your mental state really affects you and those around you
I can relate to Steve-O on becoming to introspective
When i first started smoking weed i was still pretty shy and not good at accepting myself
And it got to a point where i couldn't interact with my friends in a normal way because i thought they are judging everything i'm doing - like tthe way i sat, what i was talking about, the way i look etc
It was fucking awful
I agree! I realized how I'm not a good wife while smoking weed. I made changes. It's weird how it makes us so sensitive.
Joe 'repeating my self again and again' rogan
Should probably stop watching, we'll continue with out you.
The fact that Steve-O got and stays clean is a miracle in and of itself. Novak too. Gives us hope ♥️
Stevo-o is very fortunate to have had survived what he has experienced in life in reference to drug use
It usually doesn't work that way for most people.
