I feel lucky that my Nana was very sweet and understanding when it came to her Alzheimer's. She was on her way to a hair appointment and at an intersection when she needed to turn right, she turned left and ended up in the wrong town. She went into a restaurant -- I guess to her it looked like the hair salon -- and luckily my uncle John (her step-son) was in the eating and said "Mom? What are you doing her by yourself? Where's dad?" She said she was there to get her hair done. He drove her home in his car, and he and my mom sat her down and told her she couldn't drive anymore. She was confused about why's she did that cause in her mind she knew where she was going. We kept the keys in the drawer next to the phone instead of on the key rack. She never tried to get sneaky and drive, Unlike my Granny.
Aww she had me hooked. . . the abrupt ending was like a slap in the face haha 😂

This is a video I needed!
I lucked out. Mom turned in her license and decided it was time for assisted living.
I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any issues around this topic with your Mom, @M Devorah! Thanks for sharing
