Testing: Drok USB Meter (UM25)

  • As the potential replacement for the troubled MeterHawk USB Power Tester, I take a look at an interesting feature that seems to be unique to this Drok tester. I also test it with an active super-low-power cable (Apple Lightning Cable), to see if it measures the quiescent current draw.

    Was really hoping you would have talked about the plotting ability which is the really cool feature. (Is the 100 hour Time Measurement spec related to plotting?)

      Sorry I don't quite follow your question. Are you referring to the voltage and current plotting screen? I still use that meter, so if you could clarify I'll try to respond. Thanks for watching!

      ​@@TheCuriousEngineerChannel I want to use the plotting to find transients that may be a problem for VOIP devices. The plotting can have many modes: 1) it could keep compressing the data as it is accumulated, 2) it may only display the "last n" data points, 3) any control of axis sensitivity?
      sampling rate?
      is data logging possible (especially with Blue Tooth versions.)
