Emma is the Cinderella of tennis. The clock struck 12 for her right after she won the US Open last year. She might be a qualifier again soon if she doesn’t improve fast.
Regarding the British girl no one else is to blame than her father, who greedily wanted to bite more he could chew and started firing trainers faster than she won matches.
She was overrated and hyped up by the media. Nobody asked her to backup her run with another title before they just threw money at her and she is showing the problem with the wta. Nobody can hold it together
I don't think it's anyone's problem if sponsors want to throw money at her. She puts people in seats, and viewers on telly. That's why she's given a boatload of money; nothing to do with results, and I have no problem with that. I am always perplexed why some people aren't getting this.
@@Brandon-qr2or Now imagine if she wasn't playing. I've only ever been to early rounds Wimbledon but the ladies early rounds (and also men's) aren't packed at all. But my point stands; there's a reason sponsors pay a whole load of money to attractive athletes, especially one that's successful. Results are fairly important, but not essential.
@ US OPEN TENNIIS CHAMPIONSHIPS Uploader Can you please not show the winner in the thumbnail where you click on the video, it totally spoils the highlights knowing who's going to win. Just show both players in the thumbnail.
Perfectly-timed and well executed lobs and drop shots by Cornet which seem to have paralyzed Raducanu's pace and made a real difference between the two. 👏 There are interesting points in the vid which Emma plays surprisingly too casually for a pro tennis player and a GS champion, when Cornet is at the net and she has a decent chance for a passing shot or lob but hits on Cornet's body instead. It tells a lot about her mental level , imo, in comparison to the champ that we all watched last year!
Tough draw for Raducanu and no surprise she lost , great use of the drop shot . Raducanu still hits a great ball but her game is low margin for error , attacking tennis , last year it all fell in to place and she was as playing with total freedom. The potential is there for sure as anyone who knows tennis can see. I like Raducanu’s serve but clearly that’s an area she can improve , right is she struggling to hold
When I found out she lost I was 100% in the 1 hit wonders group. Now, after this vid I really believe she just needs to tighten her game . She lost to a 32 year old women that finally figured out how to not overthink...
It is important to note that she has youth by her side. She still has more than a decade to find her second grand slam. Also, consider how lackluster the wta scene is at the moment. Too early to call.
All of those " She's young" proponents are not helping her. She is a fully matured woman, who has honed her craft from very young. All of this "No pressure" nonsense, is merely a get out clause for her to make easy cash over hard work, and true DESIRE to become a serial winner
Freud would say so. She is a woman playing other women mate. Gauff and Alcaraz, are ruthless tennis machines. who do not look for excuses. Yet younger than Raddy.
Any top player should be able and get to the drop shot at 9"10, maybe even get the racket under it. She only made it halfway there. Lack of fitness and motivation ... disappointing
6:57 she can do that, and 7:09 that *at will* - once she steadies the ship and gets her head right, she will realize that is a special level of tennis, and she will appreciate it and use it more effectively. She will be back at the top of women's tennis again. Probably by next US Open.
Emma's movement is like Eugenie's. They plant themselves a little too early when hitting forehands. Her shots lack power cos she's not loose enough; she often takes the racquet back too early, resulting in too long a pause before initiating the swing
Emma did something that no one has done before. Ever. She went from being a Grand Slam qualifier to being a Grand Slam champion. It is easy to be mean. But let us not forget that it is much easier to conquer a position than to maintain it.

Emma Radacanu, the biggest bust of the wta right now. Shame she's a one off, one hit wonder, all those sponsorships are going to have to cater to her being "pretty" instead of being an actually decent ternnis player.
How about you go say this stuff to leylah who just lost in r2??? You Emma haters are so biased it’s ridiculous. She’s 19 years old. Serena only had 1 grand slam at 19 and it took her 3 years after her first title to start winning them again

Raducanu receives the MBE as a teenager: Rex Williams, former billiards champ and top ten snooker player; who was one of those who brought snooker from smoky clubs to where it is today; who once took 31 frames off Alex Higgins before losing by the odd frame in 63, is, at the age of 87, given the reinstated BEM, a gong just above a Blue Peter badge. How does a bad player win 10 games in a row, without losing a set in any game, to win what was only the second Major she had played in? As John McEnroe said: "Let's first get that out of the way: you don't win a Grand Slam by accident!" I sort of prefer his opinion to yours...
