Knock back is a whole other chaos factor in a fight. You can potentially move who you can move in all diractions + travel distance varies when it's done by skills. I wish there was more layers of dmg pre calculation. Like if first skill kills, it excludes this enemy from interfering with other skills\attacks + dot dmg. It's even harder for side stories with fixed party, still can't beat firechips last boss.
BIG thing, equip green gear on your main group. Usually in gachas you don't upgrade low rarity gear and wait for better ones, here it's actually worth while. Upgrading green gear +9, is extremely cheap, don't refine. You must craft gear yourself or gacha it, so you want to spam gear craft until you can craft blue gear. Then farm ch 2 mines for ore (red gates on map, use auto) and alchemy it into iron. Game will give you shit ton of materials in chest too, so up them into t2 materials and now you can craft 5-6 sets of blue gear in 2-3 runs and upgrade it to +9 (refine maybe to bbb min) . That's a lot of power, even better if you have exclusive gear for who you are currently using. But from sr gear and above it's veeery expensive. Materials comes from world skill search and hunting zone, go to first one (red gates on map), it costs stamina per fight (you have 40 and another 40 for 170 diamonds once, then it's 420 twice ).

Some tips about the mechanics of chain attack + knock back:
- Skill with multiple hits is counted in the chain number as well ( Ex: Skill with "Attack 3 times" = 3 chain damage ) Use it wisely to maximize your damage.
- Some units have skill to knock back 2 tiltes, skip + knock back, or even knock enemies to the left or right

@@alejandrocortazar7803 For infinite reroll, try to roll for alec + arines for an easy start ( plus alec's weapon if you like )
What is this chain attack ? Is it the more you deal chain attack on enemies, the more damage it will deal ?
@@s26xander Yeah the higher the chain, the higher the dmg dealt. You trigger the chain by hitting the same enemy multiple times in a turn.

game kinda difficult and thats the best thing compare to other gacha games where only numbers matter.

5:50 Yes, i discovered it yesterday. The damage shown before you attack is still at the raw amount. It's not modified by critical, skill buff, chain damage yet.
So for example:
-Celia: total skill damage shown still not included with the chain damage.
-Lathel: total skill damage shown still not included with the ATK% buff.
That's why GR's Celia can kill 4 despite Arines can't buff Magic ATK, because of uncalculated chain damage & crits.
Ah yes, one more. If you don't know how much one character will do for the enemy behind, you can peek it by placing the character in different tile, so that your area of attack will identify the damage on said enemy.

I think what makes the game so hard for new players is that Neowiz did not put a class system. If u didn't play BD, you wouldn't really know who is a tank, atk, and supp is. There are also units who can play multiple roles. (Sorta)
People who are having a difficult time are just randomly selecting units who have high damage or look nice. I think that is where most of the issue is. Now I am not saying u cant brute urself thru the game. Team building is important...most of the time.
Rec:
1-2 tank
1-2 atk or matk (3 dps unit if u feel confident-remove the other tank)
1 buff supp
I did put in whoever I wanted at first, though I won't say it's hard to learn that you need to strategize at some point. Some fights get so hard that you have no choice but to start thinking about those things. The Jayden Gate story really drives it home, and it's great because it gives you different mechanics to work with. Though it doesn't give a tank, it shows you how much easier it would be if you did have a tank. Definitely not a game you want to use auto combat on for anything other than the daily farming with that stamina resource.

Healing at the moment...Is kinda useless. It would go buff-heal-tank-atk. Personally...2 tank would be better over heals. U may wanna use a healer when doing auto farm tho.

Oh yeah, the side story does do that. But the characters u use are lock at a certain lvl. I'm guessing they made it easier, since its a side story.

How you make your units move so fast when exploring?
possibly change your game resolution from FHD to HD. I did to mine and it runs much faster.
2 buffer, 2 dps and 1 gain charge unit.
Edit:what i do is 2 buffer,2 dps and wimpy (one shot self kill do)
It's a complete oversight how the game does not take in account the buff, debuff & order of the units, I mean the order is fixed when starting the turn so why not? it should be a deterministic result and calculating the moves correctly and how the battlefield will be when a specific character moves thus where the character will hit.
So,what line up composition do you guys prefer?
I think we should build 2 separate teams for physical and magic damage units
I think auto is not even an option when you face enemies with diferent positions
Does Arines really buff Celia's damage ? it says it buffs Atk and Celia does Magic atk. There's a supporter (forgot her name but it's a costume for a 4* mage) that buffs atk and magic atk, so I imagine it's separated types of damage ?
Not sure why Celia killed at 5:40 then, maybe just crits ? I use mostly magic atk units for now but if Arines also buffs their atk I might use her.
Arines can't buff magic atk the units died because Celia crits. Samay School Uniform is the one that buffs magic atk
Well, 30% crit rate is a pretty huge buff even if the atk buff isn't useful. I'd just use both. If you get both of Samay's costumes, she doubles as an aoe damage dealer+debuffer as well.
I finally decided on the ideal account for myself with Alec, btw I saw Celia is considered A or B rank now but what’s the verdict? I happen to have her too
What should be the perfect re-roll chars?
@@alejandrocortazar7803 you can check the tier list online but Alec is top. For me, the best tank is killer doll(5-star) since she’s the only one who can taunt enemies

Someone said you can farm slime after chapter 3 in Hunting Ground. Not there yet.
You clear main story chapter 3 and get "path adventure" pack. That pack gonna open slime + gold farming feature. You do hunting ground for crafting + cookin material.
Please do video on SP management, it's pointless to have these amazing skilled char but no SP. Low CD but no SP. I think normal attack add 1 SP, that's about it. It would be good to have OP team with good SP rotation.
Rec to have fred in your team. He's a tanky boi with the 2 titles knock back skill that generates 3 sp
At the beggining SP management is pretty much pointless since you wont have many SP generations characters.
I'll be honest. I don't know what the automatic combat system is like, but I don't want to try it either. Because if I noticed correctly, this game was basically complicated enough to have to be played manually. I mean, it's really just the combat system itself. I haven't played many similar games so far, the only turn-based game for me was Raid shadow legend. But to mention a good example, there are no similarities between the two games. Brown Dust 2 is definitely a harder game, I'm 100% sure of that.

Yes. I meant something like that when I said that there are not many similarities between the two games. by the way, in the first character story pack, I first thought that the game would be a tough one. the school character pack with the otaku guy in it. And I say this because I started the game quite well anyway. I have the same starting character as guitarrock, plus I got three more good costumes. I have both costumes from the two current banners. the kendo club, and the code name s. the second one was luckier because along with it I also got the top idol. my luck is practically back. so that's how I understood that the game is still difficult. 🤬
Edit: And i'm not happy with the results so far. I should have had the blood glutton costume, not the kendo club.
I’m stuck on the 3rd chapter, the one with the lich boss anyone have any tips?
With around level 33 characters, I did a 8 hit combo on the linch. I had Kry do his def reduce skill.Then alec do his normal attack (ran out of sp) and Beatric do her skill. Justia finished off the boss with Her Lunar Halo slit. Luckily that finished off the boss in one turn. I survived the remaining enemies with 2 people left. Upgrade/Craft the best gear you can have. I got very lucky but beat it today. Had to say this because i saw no info about this fight anywhere.

@@patrick6210 craft withe the highest star unit you have and +9 everything. You can buy 2* skill book in ch 3 town. i had some blue gear ranked up also. Yes you have to go to hunting grounds for materials.
Make sure to make use of Defenders and take few hits from that guy.

I think it's great for a game that just came out. As the game ages, the betterment comes along, so I suggest you wait for future updates

it's the most fun because you actually have to use your brain instead of autoing 24/7
@@wellwellwell881 for me the crafting lacks option to reroll unwanted stats or at least roll for stats of certain type (offensive, defensive, magical, physical, ...) and today quest board will get tedious very fast.
the auto of this game is so fkin noob ~ and the map is stupid also ( cant touch to a place and auto go to there ). the expolore aspect is exhausted. the only good thing is the characters are well designed
How is it 'not a turn-based game'? You are literally showing your gameplay where you're playing first and your enemies play second. Each part of the fight is literally called "Turn". Wtf.
