Depends what industry. Engineering has loads. Specifically chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering. Not so much civil and anything software related. These fields are also well paid. Engineering design offices in these fields are full of gents who have a strong work ethic, are well kept, don't talk for the sake of talking, follow logic and reason and keep themselves to themselves.

In my personal experience, being misunderstood has been people confusing these traits for depression! The number of people I have come across who thought these characteristics were signs of depression and treated me accordingly, even in the workplace! Having videos like this has been a real comfort knowing their diagnosis is completely wrong!

Exactly! These videos have been a revelation to me and I've really began to understand myself so much better. I've decided long ago that it's okay for me to be "unique" but now I discovered it is a thing with a name and everything. To be clear I do not feel any superiority because even sigma has a lot of drawbacks. Chief among them is social aversion. My friends end up thinking I'm sad when I just want to stay in on a Friday night and they beg me to go party because that will make me feel better 🙃. We are built different.
Well I've been manipulated and I still have a somewhat hard time saying "no": Especially because I tend to think of others more than I think of myself... that really needs to change... empathy is dangerous.
I feel you. I say yes more often than not, maybe too much...But, the reason is usually split somewhere between wanting to achieve better than expected results in a given situation, or hoping to learn something new, or perhaps a better way of doing something that I feel I have mastered (work related) It's obviously situational. In contrast, (socially) if someone is questioning me about a moral stance that I've given a lot of thought to and they are attempting to persuade me to agree with them.... probably not going to happen. I will however, be fascinated and entertained by them and their argument.
It CAN be, it doesn't mean you need to stop caring. Just because YOU care, doesn't make you "wrong", It just makes you better. So as long as BALANCE Can be achieved, AND received, you're golden. Lol peace

So I keep watching these "Sigma Male" videos and it's eerily consistent with my actual thoughts I've tried to explain to others. I only watch them now trying to find one that's wrong because the first video I'd never heard of sigma males and apparently I'm not as unique, alone, and different as I had believed. The only thing I can find is I lost my small business a decade along with a divorce and my life quickly spiralled into the abyss. I grew up poor and once I tried to start a family I was always trying to make money and was constantly traveling the country. Well, women apparently get lonely sitting at the house all day and a husband 3,000 miles away. I didn't realize once the pillar of marriage was hewn down the entirety of the structure I called my reality came crashing down like building 7 of WTC. All my old friends still call themselves my friends but I'd rather have enemies than friends like these. My own family sometimes seems annoyed with me when I'm trying to help them. I still sometimes even knowing all that I do become so sad like the Marianna's trench of depression because I sometimes feel like everyone loves seeing me put in my place for trying to be better or thinking I'm better. I don't know why I'm saying all this maybe it's just I feel understood watching these and it opens me up because nobody listens or understands. I understand truly what Jesus meant when he said a prophet is not without respect, save his own home.

Being introverts, large social gatherings are bad for Sigmas. It physically and emotionally drains them. Introversion isn't the same as being shy. It's leagues from it. These gatherings are awful to us and can do a lot of damage. Anxiety, burnouts, depression... just learn that Introversion isn't a flaw. It's a feature. And yes, from what I gathered, Sigmas are introverts. They check all the boxes. Personally, I'd rather that the world's Psychiatric experts of the WHO started acknowledging that Introversion isn't a flaw but a feature. Like boobs on a woman.

I don't think i'm a sigma male, but i can relate with the "lone wolf" point. Ever since my adolescence I really enjoy my time alone, it makes me feel calmer and thus more focused on my interests and goals. People usually thought I was a bit weird when I spoke about it. The only difference now is when I was a teenager I did feel a bit weird as they said. Now however as a young adult, I don't, because I accepted that it is just a part of my personality.

You explain it logically? That's the problem. I must have been in my late 20s or a bit older when I finally realized and accepted that "normal" people simply don't think logically and rationally. They also seem to have a completely different definition of "thinking". If you want to understand normies, don't waste your time by analyzing their behavior logically. It doesn't work. Instead, you need to teach yourself some psychology.
No doubt I’m a sigma. Doing the Meyers-Briggs tests for almost a decade from college through really stressful, social service jobs I never changed from being an Introvert but I switched back and forth between S and N, and P and J so it’s interesting to see I fall within your (Don and Lloyd) categories.
It's my firm belief that a Sigma male won't bother to tell you they're a Sigma male. Anybody who tells you that, distrust. Most sigmas feel no need to brag or bring attention to that sort of thing. Betas, gammas and omegas however... A lot of Sigma's are acutely aware of the Dunning Krueger effect.
I only recently found out what this sigma thing was recently. I just considered myself an introvert and a loner. I had no idea there was this greater description that described me perfectly. At first I thought, I need to tell people... Then I realized that would be pointless and I would look like I was part of the pronoun tard party. I am content knowing what is going on, and now I know how to spot other Sigmas.

The Sigma comes in various forms. I've been friends with one for 25 years. Our personalities are a complete match. He publicly speaks every week. That is my fear. That is our only variance. I disregard personal safety, SCUBA with sharks and skydive from 18,000 feet. That is his fear.
I do hate things that defy logic. I was a Sr. Help desk Analyst and trainer. I loved that job. Corporate America doesn't always follow logic and it used to drive me crazy until I realized I was just banging my head against the wall. Once I made peace with that idea I felt better.

I was a police officer for 23 years until 3 years ago when it became abundantly clear it was time to go. In my early years free thinking and initiative were treasured qualities but over time they became the very things that made you a target for the robots. I never expected anything from the public but thought it reasonable to expect fairness and standards from colleagues, unfortunately we don’t always get what we want… Great content👍
Thanks for some vindication this is the first time I've ever heard of the term sigma make,but I must admit that they have it totally on the dot.all this time feeling isolated.I think there is one more thing that the video didn't touch on is that we become self-aware at a very young age a good deal before any of our peers. Absolutely! I have had way less true friends in my life because of it. I’ve got about four people currently (usually I have only one) that I really enjoy spending time with. We go for long walks and talk about the deepest things. So exhilarating. I despise despise despise small talk.
Wow and recently after watching a yt video a few days ago, I realized why I’ve been different from most. Knowing that I’m a sigma male now, it clears up so much and always felt I was one of a few like myself. Knowing this about me and being more accepting of my new found personality. I will try to take it to the fullest and see what it holds for me being this way. It’s also a relief bc I was beginning to believe the social misunderstanding from others and thought at some point something might be wrong with my brain. You know you wonder about yourself for all your life and shock to realized something you thought was correct all your life and find out you had it wrong all this time. One time I had a dream and I think I was the victim and when the criminal revealed his face, it was my face and that was the last thing I expected. I guess the meaning was some sort saying all this time I felt others were trying to put me down or to destroy me, when the one trying was me and my evil twin. Not sure if any of this makes sense, but that how sigma makes think.
If I own a big company, I would definitely hire a sigma male as my CEO because alpha male may look promising yet are really all about self-serving. Sigma male are the ones who would drive the business towards success

Not liking to waste time is actually distaste for pointless tedium…which wouldn’t seem specific to any particular personality type. It’s probably not very “sigma“ to imagine time invested with rational objectivity can even be wasted. I see ignorance as a lack of knowledge, not something bad by itself. I'm ignorant of many things. Stupidity is what tends to bother me. People who know better and still do what they shouldn't, like drunk driving, or people who refuse to educate themselves about a topic they clearly know nothing about but fancy themselves experts because they regurgitate someone else's (completely wrong) conclusions. There's no shame in admitting you don't know something. Pretending you do is the problem.
Sigmas don't necessarily detest large social gatherings, if it is something we we truly enjoy such as a music festival with all your favorite artists 🔥. We can go alone and make friends or we can go with friends, it doesn't matter though because we don't need friends to enjoy it.
This is me and a nutshell so a lot of people are intimidated by my own way of doing things to try to stimulate my mind or challenge myself often they want to get in my way and impose the Corporate Way versus the way I think it's a little bit easier to do or is your own everyone so to speak so actually that actually drives me crazy and up the wall and it really agitates me I always have to model I live by Simplicity is the best way to go in life
I'm going to need to elaborate on change a little deeper. I would agree that sigmas like change as long as the change comes by their hands. If change comes in any other form, I would say we don't like that kind of change. So, in a nutshell, we like the change we can control.
I'm not sure what a sigma male is or is not I just know what I am and what I am not... I guess I could be considered a sigma male but honestly doesn't really matter to me... This is somewhat new. Never heard of this before I find it interesting to hear other people talking about me or my characteristics I don't even consider myself any type of male just me being me.. I'm not really sure that anybody can actually categorize me and any way however it's fun to listen maybe they understand how people may perceive an individual like me I very much enjoy being alone also very much enjoy doing what I want when I want how I want... I honestly truly believe that I don't entertain anyone except myself mine moral code of conduct... And most times I do try to avoid ridiculous illogical conversation.. and in some cases it does infuriate me.. to feel like I'm forced to engage in it... I've mostly perceived myself as a misanthrope... Perhaps I am however I've often wondered why do I not wish to engage with individuals in trivial conversations... I find it much easier not to have too many friends because in most cases they disappoint me... I feel sorry for much of society and they're in willingness to think logically and individually... I'm not sure that I would be a sigma male whatever the hell that is I am me... And truth be told I do not conform nor do I have the capability of compliance I always believe that I was born with an inability to comply.. which in many ways is forced me to carve out my own path... Of existence that I'm very comfortable with..
Well it would be refreshing to have some new ideas in a place crowded with people who can't challenge anyone in a suit... I can't do everything alone. Although there is something I am willing to try. I only recently paid much attention to this type of "profiling", and the idea of a Sigma male. While I am probably best identified as a sigma male, I also have some "cross traits"....and I would word some of the explanations in this video differently, at least for me. I have found it interesting and valuable to research "sigma male"....it helps me understand my authentic Self. I definitely am "comfortable in my own skin", and have had multiple people in my life describe me in ways that essentially express Sigma male traits. I'm good with that.
I think his wording on some things could have been more enlightened. But that is only a thing that those aware can see from our own point of view. For he says sigmas can't understand why someone would waste their time on something they consider a time waster... and I think, well, yes those who are more expereienced and give a damn can. For it is part of the journey to deeper understanding of everything in the bigger picture. If we can understand better another with full acceptance of they are how they are. And to be able to find compatible factors to connect. For after all the attitude of the more enlightened is good will is for all, and it comes back to you. For as JC said, love your enemies, love your neighbour as yourself... making SELF LOVE and acceptance the foundation of how you LOVE others. Now they know in science that LOVE type feelings HEAL DNA Telomeres. It is a compassion and kindness, a good will to genuinely give good energy feelings towards another as the old word says to bless. To wish them well. This is a feeling frequency that is beneficial to feel. In giving you receive the benefits of it. Everyone is in their own programming version of their reality. Understand that. 😜
I don't think I've ever felt so at home in a video. A couple points I may differ from slightly, but 18 of them I relate to 💯 Many of them are reasons I've butted heads with coworkers, bosses, and friends in the past. Odd sense of relief coming across this.

So I keep watching these "Sigma Male" videos and it's eerily consistent with my actual thoughts I've tried to explain to others. I only watch them now trying to find one that's wrong because the first video I'd never heard of sigma males and apparently I'm not as unique, alone, and different as I had believed. The only thing I can find is I lost my small business a decade along with a divorce and my life quickly spiralled into the abyss. I grew up poor and once I tried to start a family I was always trying to make money and was constantly traveling the country. Well, women apparently get lonely sitting at the house all day and a husband 3,000 miles away. I didn't realize once the pillar of marriage was hewn down the entirety of the structure I called my reality came crashing down like building 7 of WTC. All my old friends still call themselves my friends but I'd rather have enemies than friends like these. My own family sometimes seems annoyed with me when I'm trying to help them. I still sometimes even knowing all that I do become so sad like the Marianna's trench of depression because I sometimes feel like everyone loves seeing me put in my place for trying to be better or thinking I'm better. I don't know why I'm saying all this maybe it's just I feel understood watching these and it opens me up because nobody listens or understands. I understand truly what Jesus meant when he said a prophet is not without respect, save his own home.

Being introverts, large social gatherings are bad for Sigmas. It physically and emotionally drains them. Introversion isn't the same as being shy. It's leagues from it. These gatherings are awful to us and can do a lot of damage. Anxiety, burnouts, depression... just learn that Introversion isn't a flaw. It's a feature. And yes, from what I gathered, Sigmas are introverts. They check all the boxes. Personally, I'd rather that the world's Psychiatric experts of the WHO started acknowledging that Introversion isn't a flaw but a feature. Like boobs on a woman.

I don't think i'm a sigma male, but i can relate with the "lone wolf" point. Ever since my adolescence I really enjoy my time alone, it makes me feel calmer and thus more focused on my interests and goals.
People usually thought I was a bit weird when I spoke about it. The only difference now is when I was a teenager I did feel a bit weird as they said. Now however as a young adult, I don't, because I accepted that it is just a part of my personality.

I must have been in my late 20s or a bit older when I finally realized and accepted that "normal" people simply don't think logically and rationally. They also seem to have a completely different definition of "thinking".
If you want to understand normies, don't waste your time by analyzing their behavior logically. It doesn't work. Instead, you need to teach yourself some psychology.

No doubt I’m a sigma. Doing the Meyers-Briggs tests for almost a decade from college through really stressful, social service jobs I never changed from being an Introvert but I switched back and forth between S and N, and P and J so it’s interesting to see I fall within your (Don and Lloyd) categories.
It's my firm belief that a Sigma male won't bother to tell you they're a Sigma male. Anybody who tells you that, distrust. Most sigmas feel no need to brag or bring attention to that sort of thing. Betas, gammas and omegas however...

I only recently found out what this sigma thing was recently. I just considered myself an introvert and a loner. I had no idea there was this greater description that described me perfectly. At first I thought, I need to tell people... Then I realized that would be pointless and I would look like I was part of the pronoun tard party. I am content knowing what is going on, and now I know how to spot other Sigmas.

I do hate things that defy logic. I was a Sr. Help desk Analyst and trainer. I loved that job. Corporate America doesn't always follow logic and it used to drive me crazy until I realized I was just banging my head against the wall. Once I made peace with that idea I felt better.

I was a police officer for 23 years until 3 years ago when it became abundantly clear it was time to go. In my early years free thinking and initiative were treasured qualities but over time they became the very things that made you a target for the robots. I never expected anything from the public but thought it reasonable to expect fairness and standards from colleagues, unfortunately we don’t always get what we want… Great content👍

Thanks for some vindication this is the first time I've ever heard of the term sigma make,but I must admit that they have it totally on the dot.all this time feeling isolated.I think there is one more thing that the video didn't touch on is that we become self-aware at a very young age a good deal before any of our peers. Absolutely! I have had way less true friends in my life because of it. I’ve got about four people currently (usually I have only one) that I really enjoy spending time with. We go for long walks and talk about the deepest things. So exhilarating. I despise despise despise small talk.
In the last few years I have taken up harmonica, guitar, and ukulele. Now almost daily I touch upon truth and beauty, plus occassional magic.
Wow and recently after watching a yt video a few days ago, I realized why I’ve been different from most. Knowing that I’m a sigma male now, it clears up so much and always felt I was one of a few like myself.
Knowing this about me and being more accepting of my new found personality. I will try to take it to the fullest and see what it holds for me being this way. It’s also a relief bc I was beginning to believe the social misunderstanding from others and thought at some point something might be wrong with my brain.
You know you wonder about yourself for all your life and shock to realized something you thought was correct all your life and find out you had it wrong all this time.
One time I had a dream and I think I was the victim and when the criminal revealed his face, it was my face and that was the last thing I expected. I guess the meaning was some sort saying all this time I felt others were trying to put me down or to destroy me, when the one trying was me and my evil twin.
Not sure if any of this makes sense, but that how sigma makes think.
We understand only when we put ourself in those people's shoes. Then, the dreams. I have them. They are real.

The danger of videos like this is that most men will think they are sigma male because they fit in one or two categories and being sigma is cool.
Those individuals are wannabes. They have yet to find their identities and are rather young. As you mature, you will know without wishing because it sounds cool.
Not liking to waste time is actually distaste for pointless tedium…which wouldn’t seem specific to any particular personality type. It’s probably not very “sigma“ to imagine time invested with rational objectivity can even be wasted. So absolutely being confounded by having invested one’s time under false pretenses or the prospect of engaging with someone who has no intention of being rational is repellent AF.

I see ignorance as a lack of knowledge, not something bad by itself. I'm ignorant of many things. Stupidity is what tends to bother me. People who know better and still do what they shouldn't, like drunk driving, or people who refuse to educate themselves about a topic they clearly know nothing about but fancy themselves experts because they regurgitate someone else's (completely wrong) conclusions. There's no shame in admitting you don't know something. Pretending you do is the problem.

Sigmas don't necessarily detest large social gatherings, if it is something we we truly enjoy such as a music festival with all your favorite artists 🔥. We can go alone and make friends or we can go with friends, it doesn't matter though because we don't need friends to enjoy it.

I'm not sure what a sigma male is or is not I just know what I am and what I am not... I guess I could be considered a sigma male but honestly doesn't really matter to me... This is somewhat new. Never heard of this before I find it interesting to hear other people talking about me or my characteristics I don't even consider myself any type of male just me being me.. I'm not really sure that anybody can actually categorize me and any way however it's fun to listen maybe they understand how people may perceive an individual like me I very much enjoy being alone also very much enjoy doing what I want when I want how I want... I honestly truly believe that I don't entertain anyone except myself mine moral code of conduct... And most times I do try to avoid ridiculous illogical conversation.. and in some cases it does infuriate me.. to feel like I'm forced to engage in it... I've mostly perceived myself as a misanthrope... Perhaps I am however I've often wondered why do I not wish to engage with individuals in trivial conversations... I find it much easier not to have too many friends because in most cases they disappoint me... I feel sorry for much of society and they're in willingness to think logically and individually... I'm not sure that I would be a sigma male whatever the hell that is I am me... And truth be told I do not conform nor do I have the capability of compliance I always believe that I was born with an inability to comply.. which in many ways is forced me to carve out my own path... Of existence that I'm very comfortable with..
Well it would be refreshing to have some new ideas in a place crowded with people who can't challenge anyone in a suit... I can't do everything alone. Although there is something I am willing to try. I'll think about myself only and I'm sure others will be upset but I'm exhausted at this point and things need to change. A sigma or two would make things a lot easier.

Im 26 and just now realising i am sigma. Took me some time to type this but yeah i wanna say hi to all of you fellow sigmas out there you are the only ones who truly understand me.
I didn’t know that I’m a sigma male, I lived in my mind this whole time, giving no f n s to everything, minding my own business, go about my life.
I only recently paid much attention to this type of "profiling", and the idea of a Sigma male. While I am probably best identified as a sigma male, I also have some "cross traits"....and I would word some of the explanations in this video differently, at least for me. I have found it interesting and valuable to research "sigma male"....it helps me understand my authentic Self. I definitely am "comfortable in my own skin", and have had multiple people in my life describe me in ways that essentially express Sigma male traits. I'm good with that.
I think his wording on some things could have been more enlightened. But that is only a thing that those aware can see from our own point of view. For he says sigmas can't understand why someone would waste their time on something they consider a time waster... and I think, well, yes those who are more expereienced and give a damn can. For it is part of the journey to deeper understanding of everything in the bigger picture. If we can understand better another with full acceptance of they are how they are. And to be able to find compatible factors to connect. For after all the attitude of the more enlightened is good will is for all, and it comes back to you. Anything less is an immaturity of awareness of cause and effect in the growth and unfolding of bigger picture of the holographic universe.
For as JC said, love your enemies, love your neighbour as yourself... making SELF LOVE and acceptance the foundation of how you LOVE others. Now they know in science that LOVE type feelings HEAL DNA Telomeres. It is a compassion and kindness, a good will to genuinely give good energy feelings towards another as the old word says to bless. To wish them well. This is a feeling frequency that is beneficial to feel. In giving you receive the benefits of it. Everyone is in their own programming version of their reality. Understand that. 😜
I don't think I've ever felt so at home in a video. A couple points I may differ from slightly, but 18 of them I relate to 💯 Many of them are reasons I've butted heads with coworkers, bosses, and friends in the past. Odd sense of relief coming across this.
