    Nice video! I'm close to deciding on my first pellet smoker. This is one of my three narrowed choices. I love a nice charred steak, and that unit looks up to the task.

      It's a unit. I cannot lie. It cranks heat and quality.

      Same here. Tired of mediocre steaks on my Weber gasser and babysitting smoked ribs on Weber Smokey Mountain. I’m purchasing the Yoder today. Every video I watch is impressive. Thanks for this demo

    When you were looking to buy a pellet grill, did you consider other brands? I am looking at the YS640s and the Pitts and Spitts. Curious if you looked at others?

    Are the grates necessary? Can you not grill/sear directly on the grates included with the Yoder?

    • @EddieWrightBBQ
      @EddieWrightBBQ  Год назад

      Yes but the grates are very much a necessary upgrade

    I’d rather have a golden crust on my steak than grill marks (like Guga makes with his charcoal grill). I’m not sure a pellet grill can do this. Last night my Camp Chef only made it to 370.

    Question............why did you leave the standard grates in there? Also why not just put the grill grates down in place of the standard grates? Thanks!

    • @EddieWrightBBQ
      @EddieWrightBBQ  2 года назад +2

      This was before I got the actual set of grill grates for the yoder. So I used some others I had and kept the standard grates on it to hold the grill grates.

    Eddie, how cold was it out there?

    I hope it would absorb the heat better for four times the price of a pellet grill
