With the experience I've had with my Akita's was the less I said the more they watched. Very stubborn, but once they learn, it just made me giggle all the time because it what they waned to do. They made choices I was proud of. This girl is so beautiful!
For me personally when working with a dog that's bread to be independent (think for them selves) Body language is more inportant than verbal....I have a Turkish Kangal....and trust me these dogs are much harder to work with yet..... Once mastered you'll have a very trust worthy dog. WORKING dogs must be worked people need to understand this before buying their puppy.
My female akita pulls like a freight train, i used the food onky when training but she still wont take it away from home , she barks yaps and pulls at other dogs lately seems a bit of aggression in there , i use a head halti to walk her and do exactly what you done with this girl but she still pulls, i use my voice and corrections as she wont take food away from home and also cant praise her to much just a quick calm good girl as anything more makes her think its her free time and starts to pull lol
Wouldn’t even call this reactive. You should see my blue heeler😂😂😂 would love to see a dog that nips by redirecting and truly reacts to people and dogs.
Maybe she is reactive in a normal daily walk at home. This time she was just curious I would say, totally normal. Although she is now focused on the handler which is awesome. :)
its an Akita trait she's been stubborn and testing you need to walk her i have a 13 months old American Akita he is male and getting there' but you need to be more firm she needs to be taken out every day that's when they have problems Akitas are Not for Everyone. if its your first one then get ready lol
Nice to see an Akita on the channel

Do it in normal environment not controlled environment
At least she jumps happy to people, my akita jumps at them with aggression
