What's the best heist movie ever made? My Boston roots might have me saying The Town...
fast 5
You made it 17 minutes longer than I did!! A color-by -numbers Kevin Hart cash grab.
As soon I heard the term nft i was out.
Haha forgot to mention that in my review but you’re so right, that’s almost a dead giveaway that the script is going to be trash. Appreciate that they let us know what we were in for from the jump…Thanks for watching, Colin!
😂 same. The script must’ve been on the shelf for the last 3yrs.
@@WilliamsPinch Or it could just be a money laundering scheme.
I watched the whole thing just to see how bad it could get..
I don't know man. 2 stars might be a little generous 🤣
Eh I see a LOT of movies that are worse than this one, all things considered Lift is pretty harmless it just does nothing new and is pretty uninspired. I’ve already seen worse movies in 2024 lol. Thanks for watching!
2 is about right. It’s not so bad you’d immediately turn it off if it was playing in the background. Please watch Madame Web, that will calibrate your scales appropriately to what bad is
Ill be honest i am not surprised with this review especially with Netflix it just seems like they make the same type of movies over and over, heist movies are one of my favourite genres and even that idea you gave for a plot i would love to see but i do want to check this out and will go in with low expectation great review man
I think going in with low expectations is the best way to go about it with this one. It's like every heist movie you've ever watched, but could be some decent background noise. Thanks for watching, dude!
My thoughts exactly, I thought I was a hater. The movie fails to capture my attention.
Yep there's just not enough here for the characters to do or to keep it exciting for the whole runtime. Thanks for watching!
Loved your review. Happy to hear someone else had the same exact problems that I did. You’ve seen worse, but that doesn’t make the laziness any less offensive
Exactly! If this was somehow the first heist film I’d ever seen I would’ve rated it higher, but it’s far from it…Didn’t try to show us anything new. What do you think the best heist movie is? Thanks for watching, dude!
@@SullyStreams Probably the 69’ Italian Job
At the end I was left wondering why they needed to have the plane under the other one, why the drone? Why show the laser if they didn't even need to use it. Couldn't they've just done the switcheroo and not be on the plane? The whole things a mess.
I’m sure they explained it because there were a few parts where I explicitly stated “I’m not even listening to all this exposition”
Best Heist movie to me is Inside Man, loved that movie. Oceans Trilogy comes in a very close second.
Can't argue with either of those choices! I was completely addicted to the laser dance scene in Ocean's Twelve when I was a kid. Thanks for watching, T!
Have you seen doom?.. Indian movie
@@user-hb6kr5uw9d I have not
Great Review my friend! and tbh i kinda liked red notice i found it fun, anyways yeah this just sounds and looks like its trash hahaha. might put it on in the background and have so little sound i almost can't hear it when i'm ether editing a video or just filming a video lmao.
Haha that's totally cool that you dig Red Notice, it's a perfectly enjoyable movie. It just seems like Netflix makes the exact same product every year when it comes to heist movies. Using this one as background noise is pretty much what it was made for. Thanks for watching, dude!
It was fun bcus of Ryan Reynolds 🤓
If you consider Inception to be a Heist movie, then that would definitely be my pick for the GOAT.
Haha a dream heist still counts as a heist in my book! Always a solid choice. Thanks for watching, dude!
Just to be different from everyone who will say Oceans 11, I'll say the best heist film is Now You See Me
Somehow never saw that one, has been on the watchlist for a while though. Thanks for watching, Chill!
@@SullyStreamswtf!!!! Now you see me is one of the best heist movies of all time! Easily cloned a million times, but the unpredictable in a clever way.
@@WilliamsPinch I know I really need to get to that one...
Baby Driver
You and I are on the same page with this one!
Yep, not a fan. What do you think is the best recent Netflix movie? Thanks for watching, Caleb!
If they throw the whole crate of $500 billion gold out of the A380 and remotely sink underwater, why the hell they need to do everything else??? 🤔
I was out at the 33mins mark, it was that bad! The story is just preposterous & Hart wasn't at all believable. Let's be honest, Kevin Hart just doesn't have the charisma nor the physical presence to carry this type of movie.
Haha I do not blame you in the slightest, not much here to keep your attention. Thanks for watching!
Dude you keep writing the same comment everywhere🤦♀🤦♀
Also, please can someone explain to me why the main poster for the film is out of focus? XD
Haha a great question that we will probably never get the answer to...
It's like I had mentioned , it's nicely polished but it's the same ol' schlock
Same heist movie, different day!
Great review! At some point i just could not watch it anymore and i skipped to the end. I have never done that but like it was just so baddd
A lot of heist movies feel the same and thats one sub genre I dont mind being cliché. I find them to be intense and entertaining. Great review!
Glad you dug this one more than I did, dude. I usually feel the same way that you do, but this one was just too derivative for me. Thanks for watching, Justin!
This felt more like an episode of Leverage stretched out to movie length. The team didn’t have much chemistry but they played it like we just knew how much they got along. The acting wasn’t bad, the heist was okay and the twist (though not execution) was predictable as fast and furious even did it.
Not a BAD movie, just room temperature water. Also I saw Madame Web, my whole benchmark for bad might be distorted from movie PTSD
Don’t forget another heist movie 6 Underground there all the same thing.
This movie was PAINFULLY cringe 😢
Fair review
Appreciate it. What do you think the best heist movie is? Thanks for watching!
I want to know how a intetpol agent fall in love with a criminal? 🤷🏾
turned this off after 15 mins, it was the most generic thing I've ever seen.
I don't blame you in the slightest. I feel like the heist movie is unfortunately susceptible to having a lot of low effort entries like this. What do you think your favorite movie in the genre is? Thanks for watching the review!
Best Heist movie has to be Thief. James Caan was just the epitome of cool and that soundtrack is just sublime. Absolutely awesome movie, better than this by a country mile
Every single James Caan movie is better than this one by a country mile. Such a great actor, I need to rewatch Misery again soon. Thanks for watching, dude!
Give me ocean 8 11 12 13
They must be doing well numbers. I don’t pay attention to alot of their content but, I will plan to avoid this.
Yeah it's one of those things where I'm sure this will still be in the daily top 10 of what people are watching, so they don't really have a compelling reason to make movies that are better than this. Sad day for us fans of the heist movie...Thanks for watching, dude!
Of all the things I disliked in the movie, that bathroom scene was the worst! Honestly worst scene I’ve seen in almost many movies, it makes us incredibly uncomfortable and ultimately didn’t even have to be done like this
Need to reach a significantly high level of boredom before i can consider thinking about maybe watching this movie
I sort of watched it..super ehhh.. why did Kevin oddly have his hands in his pockets. All I remember.
Inside Man is the best heist movie I saw even though it's chucked with political overtones
I liked it
Glad you enjoyed it more than I did!
I’m annoyed they keep recycling the same people with the same or similar story lines
I saw it for like 20 min . Even his name is just not fitting of KH . It was cringe and weird . Lazy for sure
Kevin Hart does not fit well as an action hero either .... he does not have that kind of screen presence .....and despite that he tries to do that making it even more cringe ......
Go watch Leverage the show lol way better
This movie was ok. Too straight forward. No twist to it at all.
This movie was such a waste of time. The premise was boring and poorly executed. Kevin Hart is just too short and too unattractive to be a leading man. I didn't even finish it. Bailed after watching about 3/4ths.
Yes the movie was bad
2024's January is off to an especially bumpy start for movies...Thanks for watching, Kevin!
typical Hollywood cringe movie. same kind of storylines, characters and endings.
