    In this clip, you can see Sifu Liang De Hua demonstrating how to use Yi (intention) and the sticking energy developed in Yang family Taijiquan. One of the significant benefits of attending the camp is that you get direct exposure to these skills, meaning that you can learn and experience them first-hand. This allows you to leave the event with the correct knowledge and understanding of how to replicate what is shown to you. These skills cannot be learned from watching videos. You must be taught the 'neigong' (internal training) methods and exercises to cultivate them. But most importantly, you must train hard. #themartialcamp

    i get the feeling that NONE of those students can do it. so it seems the camp would be a waste of time? i'm confused... how long does it actually take to learn this, because if I am going to pay for a course I want to be able to actually learn the skill not just hear about it and have it used against me in endless demonstrations. why not post a clip of ONE student from the camp SUCCESSFULLY performing this skill. there probably isnt such a clip, unfortunately :(

    • @THEMARTIALMAN

      At the camp, you learn the Nei Gong sets and exercises required to achieve this skill, plus you get hands-on experience and instructions on how to apply it. Those who continued to practice what they learned at the camp have improved immensely.

      @@THEMARTIALMAN i know the exercises at this point, for the most part. So i was right, I wouldn't be able to actually learn the skill, only the theory. Camps are fine for external arts, i suppose. I support you and your work. If you can create a program that clearly lays out the "10 steps" it would take to practically learn fa jin and a rough estimate for how long each step would take, i would consider signing up for such a program. But this program doesnt exist and i would only learn theory and probably never experience it personally. I nearly signed up for the last camp, but i have zero interest in it currently until there is a more well established program with time frames and guarantees. Hint hint ;)

      How fast people can master it is depending on their understanding to the skill. you can even master it by just seeing videos from martial man.
      but it is easier to compare your own result of training with the one that has mastering it directly. also, it is difficult to find someone who want to do this kind of things, so finding practice partner is so much easier in the camp

      Imagine thinking that Chinese Martial arts would enter a western sports tournament for fame and money.
      Imagine thinking that if its not in MMA then its not real. By that logic until BJJ and Mua Thai were in MMA they weren't real.
      Clearly you have never applied tai chi or understood it.

      tai chi is if anything extremely good for health and for transforming the body’s connective tissue to become stronger and much more flexible - to use it in MMA you would need to add the tai chi principles along with Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai or something - to train for baseball you need to practice baseball, to train for MMA you need to practice MMA - Tai Chi is legitimate and really very profound but I would say as far as MMA specifically it should be viewed more so as a supplement and a part of a grander overall training regimen - of course if you go into a ring and try to use just your push hand abilities against a guy that can both throw and take a punch you’re going to get annihilated - that said, I personally have used plenty of Tai Chi in BJJ, but at the time I was ALSO training in BJJ - they’re more similar than I think a lot of people realize but of course Jiu Jitsu training is necessary if you’re going to roll against another Jiu Jitsu practitioner - I will say though that I did have and experience which was very interesting - I had been training only internal martial arts for about four years (previously I had done a few years of solid BJJ) and I went into my old bjj gym and grappled a black belt and more than held my own and even caught the guy in a rear naked and was able to prevent myself from being submitted throughout the entire session - this would not have been possible without a background in bjj but the fact I was able to jump right back into Jiu Jitsu after a four year hiatus from it with only training internal arts (tai chi included) spoke volumes to me about the legitimacy of internal martial arts and the development of the tai chi body - that’s my two cents anyway

At what point in this video did you see anyone use their intention outside of their body or to stop bullets?
      You can use intention to raise your arm in the air or to perform more complex actions like using your intention to fix pivot points on your body that you rotate around. For example intend that the elbow is the pivot point and the hand rotates around it within its natural degree of motion(class 2 lever). Now intend the pivot point to be the centre of the foream so that both the elbow and hand rotate around it (class 1 lever).

    • @symbolsarenotreality4595
      @symbolsarenotreality4595 2 года назад +1

      Yeah nice biased predetermined assertion with no evidence or reasoning to support it.
      YI is just intention. Its not magic it's just your awareness and will which you use for all physical movements even if you are not consciously aware of it.
      Example: With your intention make a pivot point at your elbow. Lock the elbow in position and rotate the forearm around it (not all the way around just the normal range of rotation movement), the hand will make a large circle and the elbow wont move from its position, it will rotate in the same position.
      Now with your intention make the pivot point in the centre of the forearm. The hand and elbow will both move around the rotating pivot point in the centre of the forearm. Now get someone to push down on the wrist while the elbow is the pivot point (class 2 lever). Now do it with the centre of the forearm as the pivot point (class 1 lever). From yi without doing anything physical you can place the rotation point with your mind alone. Only when you engage the physical rotation around it does it become visible through its relationship with the movement. This is pretty basic stuff and is not magic. Raise your arm in the air, your intention did that. Mind over matter in this sense is normal intentional control over the body.
