😏😁😂🤣 initial dog acclimation would’ve prevented the dashboard and back door scuffs but all in all it’s quite remarkable as those dogs are just road warriors. They’ve seen more states than I have. 💯
We love our 2020 MY, based on my driving it would take me 12 years to reach 100K miles. So my Y looks and feels brand new. They do wear very nicely, I had my doubts on the vegan leather but actually enjoy owning a car with it and we have a Husky.
Can’t believe how fast these cars go stock 11s on quarter mile …. That’s crazy fast. My old car/s supped up turbo civics …. Evos ….. SRT4s ….Barely got 11-13s with turbos bolt in’s ….etc…. $$
We need to see Tesla aging in years vs miles. How does it hold up parking outside in sun for example in 5 years. Etc etc. mileage is ok but that can be hwy miles on clean road with no debris. It’s all relative but good review overall. In summary everything will age when time is applied. !
Would love to see how the paint looks under the front bumper PPF. Everyone touts PPF as the answer to preserve the soft Tesla paint, but you never get to see a real world example of what the paint looks like underneath after the film has taken a beating.
The amount of cars here in Michigan of people i know with out of state plates it's crazy! And they've been here for more than 2 years!! I think it might be even illegal to not register your car in your new state too.
Hey guys, there’s a very small channel with under 500 subscribers called voyage without carbon. He just did a 200 K review on his model three full cost review in like seven minutes I highly recommend
@@MrCg006 very cool I have about 50 K on mine and only wish I would’ve bought one sooner. I just think that guy’s video deserves some attention have a great day hope you love your new car
@@Jordan_Schiefer Ok, I know you think I'm kidding. But now I also know you don't know that the oil needed for the drive unit is Pentosin ATF 9. The oil filter part number is 1095038-00-A. There is one oil filter per drive unit. In all seriousness, have you ever performed serious maintenance on any vehicle?
Years ago Tesla recommended getting the oil changed every 50K miles (or something like that). But they've updated this advice and no longer recommend you change the oil unless a sensor indicates it needs to be changed. In the owner's manual they explicitly say the coolant should last the lifetime of the car. Tesla originally erred on the side of caution and recommended oil changes but as they got more experience with high mileage cars in their fleet they discovered oil changes were not needed. The reason for such a long life of these fluid is primarily lower operating temperature compared to internal combustion engines. In addition, there is blow-by in IC engines that causes the oil to get contaminated. I can believe the wear and tear on these fluids is much less in an EV than in an ICE vehicle. The limiting may well be the shelf life.
@@BitJam Well, every vehicle manufacturer that I'm aware of recommends gear box oil changes typically at 50k miles. I'm speaking of rear differentials, transfer cases, front differentials, etc. It has nothing to do with ICE engine or not. Next, someone is going to tell me that suspension joints and CV joints in EVs don't require grease? LOL
Car looks great for 100k miles and the abuse it has endured. How did you clean the non vegan leather parts of the seats like in the rear seatbelt wells and where the front seats meet the console? I was shocked and disappointed that the entire seat wasn’t full vegan leather.
This is painful lol. People saying it looks great after 100K are insane XD there's multiple, large spider-web cracks in different areas of the glass on the car! I suppose that's normal if you're driving behind a truck carrying gravel as cargo, but that's definitely not a stellar result in most scenarios.
I agree. I stopped watching at the cracked glass. If the owner can't take basic care of the car I don't care about the condition of the rest of the vehicle
I'm a detailer and this isn't anything special lol. The materials on the interiors of all Tesla's Ives noticed are absolute trash. They clean up good tho cuz there's not much to clean lol there alot of flat surfaces. If u wear alot of colored jeans the seats will get dye on them really quickly and the Alcantara inserts on the interior of the doors where's out very quickly. Not impressed with Tesla interiors as a detailer from a quality perspective but they are easy to clean quickly

Wish you would’ve shown before and after still images of the seats. Missed opportunity
I think it looks way better then it should especially considering it was never babied. Lot of hard long miles. But looks good
For 100k miles it looks fantastic

still have hairs in my car from the one time I drove my friends Husky-that was 3 years ago.
Interior starts at 8:18
I like this channel, but they take forever to get to the point sometimes.
the beige interior looks amazing
happy to see how well the white seats hold up. definitely getting that
Nicely done. No need for special tools or cleaning products. Looks great for 100K miles 👌 👍
where do you get the dark version of these wheels from? they look so much better than the OEM silver Sport wheels
Looks better than my '98 F150 110K mi- Flapping headliner, ripped carpets, outside rust holes and of course a stink bug in the cabin light.

How much does a good Paint protection package and Ceramic tint? I’ll have to get that!.

Any chance we can have a follow up video after a proper detail? Like have the interior shampoo etc...
What is the battery like after 100K ???
So it is safe to take it to the self serve car wash? Is the brush there safe to use?
Where is the picture showing the seats?
Would love the see a towing efficiency test on the id4
Looks like good material quality more so than build quality. 👍🏼
I've always wanted to see how the white seats hold up long-term. I really want the white seats but everyone warns you how easily they stain
What year is u car ?
How does that car still have North Carolina plates while being in Colorado for over a year?

I still want those SHHH plates :)
Get a Lilly Brush (pet hair detailer) for the dog hair.
Good job guys
I heard that Elon was announcing full self cleaning. Now, if they can only eliminate phantom staining....
what year is this car?
Whats with white seats, anyway ?

Did you have the motor oil and filter replaced, or the coolant drained and refilled? If so, what were the Tesla charges for these services.
Oh gosh, it's at 107,000 miles and we haven't yet changed the oil!

How much to replace the windshield? And even worse, the roof?
About $900 at the service center for the wind screen

Most insurance companies will give you a new windshield every year or two. Can understand why you would not do this?
