    GX460 is the absolute best vehicle made today. It’s for people who are intelligent, and understand the meaning of value versus the misguided need for “new tech” which provides zero value. This is why it continues to sell like crazy and holds value over time. Not everyone is the same and I understand people think the mpg is a limiting factor. However, because the vehicle holds value so well vs say a BMW X5 you will pay more at the pump but will get a better return when you trade or sell your GX. Total value is lost on people today.

  • @japerezo75
    @japerezo75 3 года назад +58

    If you drive 15,000 miles per year, the difference between this 18 mpg SUV and a 24 mpg is about $800 savings at the pump. You buy this car because of safety, reliability and capability, not because you want to save on fuel.

    • @paullee9982
      @paullee9982 2 года назад +5

      Yeah but you aren't getting 18 MPG on a GX as a daily driver. It sounds like its more around 15-16. Plus with fuel costs at $4.50+ / gallon here in the great state of California (not being sarcastic), that probably makes most ppl re-consider. Don't get me wrong - this is an awesome old school truck/luxury SUV and with incredible build quality. As presenter stated, if you dont mind the MPG and there are specific reasons you need to buy a truck like this (i.e. towing, off roading, luxury SUV, etc) then this is the one to get, especially with the infotainment updates for MY 22'. Would probably be my pick over a Defender...

    I have a 2017 , that tool shelf never rattles , didn’t even know it was there for ages😀, someone’s fiddled with it . Love ours old , but that ride even off road , smooth , and higher up . It’ll last . Yes the new screen in 2022 is top notch, without adding too much chip crap . I like driving . The new ones also will come with 20” rims but , I’d rather 17” with bigger tires . Slight raise , GXOF bumper and I’ll go where jeeps tread on a couch 😊

    It's funny. Most ppl buying this USED SUV are actually buying it because it has all the things that you name as negative... lol. This is the "smart" choice to buy when you are looking for a used Toyota 4runner for about $ 30k and discover that for the same money you can get this car, which essentially is a 4runner, but better in almost every aspect.

    • @BHaroldCars

    Gas mileage sucks but with a 2” lift, added multi terrain select, 33” tires on stock wheels. It’ll go almost anywhere. I must have some weird optioned out one. It’s got a factory full frame hitch, power 3rd row, no air bag susp. But I did wish it had that kick ass mark levinson stereo. Buy one used of a soccer mom, lift it, head to the woods and scrape that premium fuel sticker off the gas flap. These things were designed to be whaled on. And they clean up nice for date night.

    The Infotainment system was change for 22. The screen is now above the vents and support apple and google carplay. From everything I've read the lack of carplay support seems to have been the biggest compliant. IMHO there is way too much tech in a lot of vehicles today that is simply useless. More complex = Less reliable. I just ordered a 22 because I do not want the new generation that is coming out in a year or two, it will not have the V8. From a MPG perspective I think it is close to a wash betweeb a high strung super efficient drive drain getting 20-22 MPG that will not be as reliable or last as long as the detuned naturally aspirated V8 getting 16MPG.
