I gotta say the Mer de Glace is a shadow of its former self compared to the historical images I've seen. It lost so much ice. Aside from that, the scenery is amazing.

How much was the dog paid for that first "cozy shot - excellent, deserves every 100 dollar bill. Chamonix in 1982 was an exciting place for a first time look at "real mountains". I wonder if it is too commercialized now?

Don't worry, still a wonderful place to come ! The mountain didn't move, of course it's a famous destination but the nature still here
