What a beautiful video. It had Kraig Adams vibes but you made it your own and that's just lovely (I've seen so many "copies" of his style, which became boring at some point). Your video had something unique. And I loved seeing somebody hiking with his dog. He's so trusty and brave, what a good boy. The part of him crossing the suspension bridge in the beginning was just so cute. "Oh my, what is this shaky ground, I don't like it, but Yens is doing it, so can do it as well." Great you were able to give him 2 days of to do the ladder section. Thank you for sharing.
First of all, thank you for taking the time to write such a big compliment to me! Glad you enjoy me taking my malinois with me. I haven't seen anyone else do that yet. He surely is trained to do those hikes and obeys my commands well otherwise I wouldn't take him with me. Adopted him at 11 months and started hiking with him in the mountains when he was 1,5 years old. Haha, he was indeed a bit skeptical about the bridge and made me get abrasian on my knee when I went back to the camera. He does indeed trust me whenever I do something he follows along. Thanks again for the the comment! I really like creating those videos and whenever I got enough time to do multi day hikes I will take it. I got multiple ones planned for the summer! Stay along for the journey!
What a journey! I loved this cinematic vlog. Enjoyed so much and thrilled to watch other videos. I can’t hike no more with my current legs, but I did travel along with both of you. Thank you very much!
Great video! Silent, relaxing and parallelly very interesting. Really I am surprised that you could train your cool dog so perfectly. Good job! Waiting for next productions.
Great photography & video! Love that you took your dog & that he was such a terrific hiker along with you. Priceless when he cut his eyes to the camera when it was raining & the two of you were tent bound. Super job🙋🏼♀️👍🏻🇺🇸
Wow, what an incredible journey. You did a great job in capturing the beauty and environment along the way. Your hiking partner added a special touch and was fun to see as well. This would be a hike of a lifetime for me. I think the logistics would be difficult for me not knowing the language for planning out this hike. Take care and hope to see your next adventure.
Chamonix and the Tour du Mt Blanc are almost an English / American colony with tens of thousands of them coming through each year. No worries about the language. People here are used to English speakers. Which unfortunately is not the case for all of France.
I'm an American and I did this hike back in July. If the language barrier is the only thing holding you back, it's the smallest obstacle. This is an extremely popular hike and sees tourists from all over the world and the common language of choice is English. I think the most difficult bit was simply fitness and costs. It's expensive to travel Western Europe.
Thanks for a great video. It's a very beautiful walk, one of the best in Europe. I did the walk about 10 years ago and really loved it. I wish you all the best in your future walks.
Hello Yens, we watched your beautiful film tonight and I can’t say we’ve spent a more wonderful half hour in a long time.I don’t know what we enjoyed most, but the combination of the dog, the quiet, the scenery, the sky….made us so happy. When you are young you are so rich in so many things and you have found them all.
ah thanks for the sweet compliment! You are definitely right about the being young thing. I do not realise it as much now but in a decade or two I will definitely realise it.
Just beautiful Yens. I've watched quite a few videos of the TMB - it looks like such an amazing trail. You captured it really nicely! Thanks for sharing and look forward to the next adventure. Best, Will
You can be sure it's worth it. I walked it for the first time in July 2021 and the views are unforgettable. I still live in my thoughts about it. Going it alone is one of the best options you'll get. I'll never forget waiting on the Italian side until dark just to pitch my tent, regufie nowhere.
Thanks so much for sharing all this beauty and splendour with us. Your high quality footage is like a meditation. The silence gives one the feeling of doing it oneself. I am inspired to do this hike. I am South African and now Swiss. What month of the year did you and your lovely dog hike this? All the best to you.
The fact this mountain has an actual (it seems) free to use lodge for camping that's already very advanced. The "time" markers on the signs telling you on average how long it would take you to walk a certain route... or the ropes put in place on hard to climb bits. There have been some hikes here in the UK that I wish I had at least those ropes tied to poles so I could hold on to. Worst thing is when going up really steep rocks and your foot slips and you feel your heart sinking looking down at about 300 metre drop (or worse)... Well, any length over 50m drop is pretty much deadly by my reckoning.

Beautiful and it was cool to see your companion hiking with you, looks a really nice and trusty doggie. Thank you for your video.

Beautiful Video, reminded me of when I did years ago. How was camping along the route? Before it was fine to camp near huts and if a single tent for one night, [nobody complained. But I have heard that things are stricter now.
All I can think of is the dog wondering why he walked the trails twice after having to go back and get the camera 500 times after each walking by shot 😆

Beautiful Video, reminded me of when I did years ago. How was camping along the route? Before it was fine to camp near huts and if a single tent for one night, [nobody complained. But I have heard that things are stricter now.
In Italy it's not allowed to camp near the huts, but don't remember if in FR and CH it was always allowed. It definitely was allowed at some.
15:09 what a freeking shot!
Thanks!

All I can think of is the dog wondering why he walked the trails twice after having to go back and get the camera 500 times after each walking by shot 😆
Hahaha he is so used by it by now he probably doesn't think about it anymore😆
