I saw Serge Lama sing this song live. He wrote it and those lyrics sung by a man were unbelievably emotional and vulnerable. Lara gave it another life. I can see why Dimash admires her. She’s all in. She is also a very talented song writer. Lovely lady. Nice to see you Lukas. 🤗

Lara Fabian was Igor Krutoy's Muse and He wrote for and with her - Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Know, Mademoiselle Hyde. Those are songs that Krutoy gifted to Dimash at the beginning of their collaboration... Dimash is now Krutoy's Muse and both He and Lara collaborated to write Your Love for Dimash- she wrote the lyrics, called Krutoy up and told him how the music should be like, so Krutoy composed the music, and Dimash and Erlan -His music arranger -arranged it with Krutoy! If you remember the performance of Dimash, Aida Garifullina , and Lara Fabian of Tiamo Cosi, that was his and Lara's first time performing together, and a fulfillment of Dimash's childhood dream!She is amazing!!! I don't know if you meant the music but she wrote the lyrics of all the songs Krutoy composed for her and Adagio was made by Lara and Rick Allison (+Albinoni of course), it was on her first english album

I've heard of Lara Fabian for years but never listened because I thought her music was not for me. I was so wrong! Yes I Discovered Lara because of Dimash. He has covered many of her songs like Adagio, Madimoselle Hyde, Know/Know Vocalise. Lara has collaborated a lot with Igor Krutoy, she also wrote lyrics for Dimash.

Lara is a legend, not only for her voice, but also her acting and songwriting. I hope you discover a lot more of her. This performance is quite old, but she is still going strong and is an inspiration to so many people.

Lara's version of Adagio is THE version since it is her song! Dimash sang a cover of her song Adagio beautifully but no one sings it better than Lara Fabian
Hi Lukas. Lovely to have you back. Yes Lara is still alive and she recently turned 50. Dimash is a great fan of hers and he sang her version of Adagio on the Singer competition in China. Lara has worked with Igor Krutoy and sang his compositions. She sang The love of tired Swans in Russian and in French too more than 10 years before Dimash did and she also sang Know vocalise as Dimash did. She wrote the lyrics and Igor wrote the music for the song Your love for Dimash in 2020. They also sang together and with Zarina Garifullina Ti amo cosi. Beautiful trio. You can definitely see and hear the influence she's had on Dimash as an artist.

@@RaphaelThorsen strange phrasing but ok, Dimash, Lara and Aida did a cover of Ti amo cosi as none of them were the original singers. To say Dimash is a newbie to 'their world tho' is kinda silly unless you're referring to the number of times on stage, ofc as his seniors L&A have lifetime on stage to Dimash's 25yrs then. In 25yrs he garnered a worldwide fanbase while both L&A were literally unknown in the North & South. Dimash's Dears helped to spread both women's fame from the confines of Europe to the rest of the world. He brought them into his world!. That's the power of Dimash's fame as an artist and human being, its a domino effect, he introduces whoever performs with him to his fans who in turn promotes those artists to reactors. Pretty neat huh?

Dimash is a great singer and interpret, I've never said the contrary, but he's young and very talented (indeed). His first performance worldwide know is "SOS d'un terrien en détresse", as a French speaking person, he destroyed it, he just tried to pronounce the words, he didn't even understand... It's true that later he learned how to sing it correctly!
But the worst of him is his self-confidence, when he thinks, he's the greatest singer in the show "World Got Talent" and removed himself because he didn't want to shadow the other contestant...
Lara has been famous for 30 years. She is a very big star in French speaking countries but also in Russia and ex USSR and in South America, Spanish speaking countries, Italy... It's not because she isn't know in English speaking countries that she isn't famous. Dimash is a new comer and is growing slowly. He chose to stay independent and not to sign with a company so it will take more time to become really big, but he will. For the moment he is known by a small community on RUclips but famous in Russia and China. Thinking that he is world famous and has 10 millions of fans (outside of China) is some Dears' being biased or blinds. He has maybe 10 000s active fans and the rest are casual listeners. And I'm saying this as a Dear myself.
As a French, I like his SOS rendition. It's not my favourite of him because the truth is that French people have expectations for this song because we know it well. So when he changes it that way it feels weird for us. But people from other countries who don't know it and have a "clean" mind loves it and are touch by it. And we should thank him for singing in our language and make that beautiful song know out of the "francophonie" instead of criticizing his pronunciation. I read so many nasty comments by French people that I feel ashamed.
And he withdrew of the competition cause it's against his culture to compete against children. Not because he thought that he was the best even though he was clearly the favourite with the highest score. Do you think it's even fair to put him against two children ?

This performance was my gateway drug to Fabian a few years ago, and I was gobsmacked. "Who...what...WHO IS THIS?!?!" And now, for the first time in my life, I'm a superstan. 🤣
She has sterling technique and an enormous toolbox of skills to choose from. Vocally, there are amazing (and amazingly difficult) things going on here but they are all kept seemless and used in service of the performance and story. Story is ALL to her. She composes and writes the vast majority of her work (in English, French, Italian and Spanish) but she puts the same writer's skills/lens to work analyzing pieces she covers.
It actually is even MORE amazing in a way that Je Suis Malade is a cover, I think. Comparing it to the versions that came before, I found that she pretty substantially tweaked it: slowed the tempo, changed the orchestration, made that dramatic second a capella section you commented on, and added the lyric & a cappello section at "this love is killing me" among other more minor little changes.
The amazing thing is: she dives that deep on every single piece to get to the emotional core of it. I have not seen another vocal artist so consistently draw the audience into the emotional.world building as she does. Ever. I'm still trying to figure it and her out.

Her original Adagio (English) from this same concert From Lara With Love is masterfully and meticulously built from beginning to end.
Caruso (Italian) is a sublime cover that might give you goosebumps again. Pedere L'amore is another more exuberant Italian cover showing off her rock solid dynamic control from softest to cathedral-wide open belts. Both frim this same concert.

I really like Lara also and adore the songs she wrote. "Broken Vow" is a favorite of mine. She's so emotional in "Je Suis Malade" that you'd think she was the composer writing it about her own life.
Are you a Dimash Dear also? If you're not familiar with him, Lara was one of his idols while he was growing up, and he's sung with her. Check out "Ti Amo Cosi" at Igor Krutoy's big birthday bash. Dimash is also one of the very few singers that excels at emotional interpretation. Lara had a relatively consistent pop style, but Dimash sings everything from opera to rap, so if you're interested in hearing his emotional pieces, try "S.O.S." at the Slavic Bazaar, or "Daybreak" from his Bastau concert.
And maybe to add. If there would be more reactions to Lara Fabian... LIVE versions are the key. Always another step up from her already great studio recordings !

So happy you finaly ract to her. she is very special in the way she enter deeply inside her songs and communicates emotions. that's so bad that you stopped 15 seconds too early at the end. Because as an actor you know sometime you go so deep in the scene you"re playing that you can't get out after it's over. and just look at her at the end look at her expression ... she went so so deep.
Oh, dear, she is still very much around :) She is an absolute master at pronouncing words, showing her emotions through her music, and she had absolute control over her voice, her dedication to music and her fans is just something else. Many people say her music is cheesy, well, everyone his or her own opinion, but I think that cheesiness is not a weakness, but a huge strenght.
She has always been amazing. Her greatest interpretation I think is this song. You are absolutely correct the essence of great performance in both singing and acting.

Lara Fabian is an idol of Dimash, so it's only natural he asked her to sing with him. He also invited Russian soprano Aida Gaifullina to sing with both of them. The result is Ti Amo Cosi. I think it was done in 2019 and it's spectacular. You'll find it on RUclips. It's just beautiful. I enjoy your going back to hear more of the song. I sometimes do that. Thanks for a beautiful time. BTW, Lara Fabian is an international star, she is 51 now and she speaks French, Spanish, Italian and English. All my European cousins speak several languages. I speak only two. Do good work.
I think it would be more correct to say that Igor invited his lingtime collaborator, Lara Fabian, who had already sung Ti Amo Cosi many times, to celebrate his birthday by singing it again, among songs from the album they cowrote, as well a to perform a sweet duet with him. Igor also asked the extremely accomplished Aida to come partake. And Igor asked the up-and-coming Dimash to be a part of it all.as well. Alongside world renowned skating champions, and famous vocalists like Andrea Bocelli.

When I said that I did not know who real Lukas Hassel was I said it in a figurative way. You are such complex person with such a beautiful character that few people have. For you it is a gift from nature. You have been endowed with intellectual beauty and sensitivity . Then don't be surprised ,you use all these qualities instantly ,without realizing it. You adapt instantly to every situation. That's your nature . That's exactly I liked about you,because your different from the classic actor. I admit there are also a lot of actors who play mechanically they dont't tell me anything special. As you said ,an artist ,regardless of the art he practices must transmit to me that vibration that reaches me,as a spectator .And that's what you do . I have to jump in, sorry for that. This song have a bit of history, written in the 70´s by Serge Lama, who gave it (with the tools at that time!) all it’s meaning.
I think Lara Fabian just demonstrate (wonderfuly) the faith and despair fight of the song. She is powerful, wonderful, and did deliver a perfect rendition of the song….
