What a delight. I'm 66 and getting ready to do my first floor while my husband is at work. Its a 10x11 bedroom. I thought I'd google some advice. God led me straight to your video...no need to watch any besides yours now. It's always a blessing to see Him intertwine His people! 😊 Thank you.
I got that bigger tapping block that you use to use. I actually bought a lot of tools you recommended. Personally I love that bigger tapping block and it’s a game changer. Keep up the good work and thanks for the prayer 🙏🏻
So far, 2 videos in. I'm a novice and really appreciate your full, detailed instructions. And I love saying Amen after your prayer. Best wishes and many thanks
Thank you so much for your videos. It helped me a lot to install my own floor. Especially the advice on what to do in the hard spaces where you could barely angle the plank. God bless you as well.
Thank you for these videos! I had to replace part of a subfloor in my sunroom. I tried twice to get it right with putting these planks down with not a lot of success. Followed your tips and it went is SOOOO much easier and better. Thank you!
I'm going to change out my floors and lay down about 1200 sq ft of vinyl. You have helped me tremendously on gaining the knowledge to succeed. Thanks for the videos.
Aww man, Joe. I just did my first room with LVP this week and it was a little bit of a struggle. I used several of your tips from other videos and those helped. The ends of the planks sucked. These tips would've really helped. Thanks for all you do though! God bless you and yours!
Hi Joe many thanks for your very useful hints and tips I have been watching many of your videos here in the U.K. and today I managed to lay new LVP in my kitchen and dining room. I purchased the tools and spacers that you recommended it has really made such I difference to my install keep up the great work all the best.
Dude, thank you so much for designing that new hammer. I love the other one, and will probably continue using it, but I have also purchased this one because I have the same complaints as you with the other one, so it will be nice having both.
I've been planning to install VPF in a bathroom and adjacent dressing room with lots of cramped areas and turns, so need all the advice I can get. Thanks for all the nit-picky advice. I know success is in the details.
Absolutely love flooret! I got samples because of your recommendation and just put in my order for signature Nakan. Cannot wait to receive it and get it put in. I installed Lowe’s stain master waterproof vinyl plank 3 months ago what a bunch of absolute junk! I think my order of Flooret was less money than junk from Lowe’s.. I absolutely loved Floorets hardwood Anza but was worried it would be to orangish, I wish they would have had one that was a little browner I would have gone with it, because their hardwood is BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you for your video recommendation of Flooret.
Great work as always! Would like to recommend the Taylor power shunting device to add to your collection. It’s awesome for that last row and around door casings
I can’t even begin to add all of the ways that your videos have helped me through my LVP installation. From tools to techniques, everything was a lifesaver for me! Question for you as a DIY project, is there any value for me to caulk around the edges of my floor before I put down trim? Or only in the wet areas?
You've convinced me of the advantage of the angle to angle locking, but the only product I have found with it is the Flooret. I'd love to use Flooret, but none of the colors work in my room. Are there other vendors that use the angle to angle?
Joe, you had spoken positively of the drop and lock system on Floor and Decor's Nucore Performance line (saying that once it was locked together it was a good connection). Do you still think that?
Hi love the channel I keep hearing different things so just want to ask you can lvp the ll flooring drop and click be glued down under where cabinets will go and let the rest float ? So that the cabinets are sitting on lvp or do you recommend working around cabinets thanks
I have been watching your videos as I am getting ready to start a three room project . Thank you for the valuable information . I have a quick question . Is it okay to put heavy items on LVP such as refrigerators , gun safes , washer/ dryers since these floors should be "floating" ?
if i have an slightly open end seem between two angle lock planks already installed in a room but i can still block the end of the plank run temporarily and then remove block to allow for expansion how do you pull that gaped seem together? i have seen the use of suction cup and then tap on suction handle to drive seem together or use wood block with double sided tape and tap wood block to drive seem together. do you have a preferred method? love your videos, thanks
Trying to get an answer if I need to put down a vapor barrier with life proof Edgewood cherry luxury vinyl plank? It does have a sound mitigating underlayment…. What do you suggest?
If a basement cement floor covered with vinyl plank gets flooded badly does it have to be ripped up to clean and dry everything and then thrown away because the joint strength has been compromised and or damaged?
Hi Joe, where can i buy this pull bar? I dont find it in Amazon and in your website. Im going to buy this nice tapping block from you. Greetings from Hungary! :)
I wish you would show the troubles of putting in 12 mm type LVP. I've had super troubles when I go to the 12mm thickness. It doesn't bend at all, making it harder to put in, especially over, say, a marble type floor, even if it's smooth and level. Not fun. The 4 to 6mm type is a breeze compared to 12mm.
Joe, I ripped out my carpet in the second floor and the wood is all sticky from the carpet adhesive. Do I need to worry about removing all the stickiness? If so now?
How do I know if the plank is “angle to angle”. When I go into stores like floor and decor with hundreds of tile option, I see no “angle to angle” listed on the box? Additionally, I noticed in this video you layed the plank directly to the floor with nothing underneath. I too will be installing on a subfloor of not cement but a type of builders style wood as in your video. How, do you know if and when you can lay the plank just on this type of under layment as in this video? Thanks in advance, and I will be using your videos before I start this job, and as you know there are many installation video options (:
Flooret has a wood plank that is a drop click. It is a 5g locking system, which is far superior to a normal drop click. All of their vinyl plank id angle to angle.
So I'm a little confused. The plank you were installing appears to be drop & lock that you mentioned was not as durable. What locking system is Flooret Modin? Thank you
He does keep a gap at almost all edges. At 2:17 he describes very briefly one thing he does to maintain the gap. In other video’s he gets pretty deep into how to measure and cut to ensure there’s a 1/4 inch gap all around. The places he doesn’t put a gap is when there won’t be molding to hide the gap, which is pretty rare.
I've watched like 20 shorts and a handful of longer videos and the vast majority of them were not worth watching either because of the quality of the video production and it they were morons. I'm happy to say your videos were full of good tips, many of the tips were in other videos but the like I said bad quality videos or the installer was annoying. Wish I would of watched you sooner cause I'm about to go to ChinaDepot to get some tools one of which I'm sure will be inferior to your plank hammer. Anyhow Blesskngs back to you brother. I hope you and yours are doing well and situated well to weather the coming storm. Sadly I say its gonna get worse before it gets worse. Put in about 8 rooms. Got several more coming up. You make it look easy, and I gotta say, last few roomed were pretty easy. Your vids are invaluable

Installing is a nightmare...always..for everyone. unless this is your fulltime gig, you WILL regret attempting this. Hire a pro or ask for help
@chimster1234 what?? On a 1-10 DIY scale, LVP is about a 3. Main exceptions being uneven subfloor or having to install thousands of square feet.

Making sure the grooves are clear is more important than I realized. Cheater boards solve all!!

Do you have any tried and true floor protectors that go under furniture to help prevent/ minimize plank scratches when rearranging a room?
Fantastic
Can you make a video showing, how you get around with installing a herringbone pattern floor. Vinyl, laminate og parquet.

Never mind, you just answered my question 😊
How do you install SPL flooring in doorways, where there is no "bend" to get the tongue into the groove?

Do you need a vapor barrier if installing on a concrete slab?
is it ok to overlap the 6mil visqueen
Do you recommend quietwalk Lv underlayment on flooret base on a concrete slab or just vapor barrier?thank u

Hey Joe. Love the videos. What brand/line would you recommend for a $4 per sqft range?
I want you to know that Modin Base would be $4 plus a Sq ft if it was sold in a store.
How is the floor prevented from sliding?
Which type of Flooret - looked at one an it said drop click which though you said was not great?
Flooret has a wood plank that is a drop click. It is a 5g locking system, which is far superior to a normal drop click. All of their vinyl plank id angle to angle.
So I'm a little confused. The plank you were installing appears to be drop & lock that you mentioned was not as durable. What locking system is Flooret Modin? Thank you
No, it is not. I shared a clip of a drop and lock to show how it is installed.
This method is how I did almost 1800sq ft of Flooret LVP.
I notice you aren’t using a vapor barrier. Flooret Modin instructions say it has to be installed with a vapor barrier on all floors.
His floor already has the vapor barrier attached to it.
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
I noticed you aren’t leaving any gaps to the wall. Is that not as necessary as everyone says?
He does keep a gap at almost all edges. At 2:17 he describes very briefly one thing he does to maintain the gap.
