I think you need to read the instructions on how to use the soft shackles. It looked like you did not have it properly setup on the Jeep end. Kinetic ropes and soft shackles are a safer way to recover stuck vehicles.
It's also recommended in the Factor 55 recovery manual that the recovery vehicle doesn't pull from reverse.
Yep. I got a kinetic recovery strap. They are awesome.
Been using kinetic ropes for over a decade. Wheeled with Sue Meade long before that during her Camel Trophy days.
It's a good system. It also sounds like there is a good opportunity for a new product. Pickup Truck + SUV Talk pocket knife!
Matts Recovery uses Yankum ropes and shows the difference between a strap and kinetic rope here > ruclips.net/video/qiIXY9BpKww/видео.html Project Farm tested a lot of them and liked the Bubba rope > ruclips.net/video/GrHmKCkbA2g/видео.html
Why did you have to use the Gator Eye when you could have just hooked the rope eye over the hook?
Been using braided nylon rope about 40 yrs.(30ft. ×1 1/2). Works awesome! But that was a poor demonstration.
Did that first/flat line have a knot tied in the middle of it?
Yup. Speaks to how you crappy tow straps are in reality. LOL
I like the American made Yankum ropes that are made in Idaho.
Bubba rope is also made in the USA.
Rhino leads people to believe that they are made in the USA, but they are not.
You said they are $$$ what's the price in the heavy duty one?
$275.
Thanks Tim
Good review!
I would buy it. Need an off roader first

🤔 I can ask if you want one. Not something I thought about to be honest.
