And the questions will be slanted in the first place. "Mr. Trump, given your history of consorting with our enemies, such as Vladimir Putin, and your many many violations of the law and public decency, how could America expect to survive if someone as deeply evil as yourself gained the power you so nakedly crave?"

I’m disgusted that Bidens terms were met as far as who hosts. Why couldn’t each candidate name an outlet and go with that?

It’s great that they are finally debating but it should be longer form & with fewer ads, available everywhere (not just single network monopolies). Also, people deserve to hear from any independent candidate that qualifies as well. Let the people decide who to vote for!

@@Teramydog Which is exactly why she'd be useful to Trump. Trading barbs and insults is a big part of the reason people like Trump. Watching someone kiss Trump's butt is boring and Trump knows it. I'd guess it's part of why he insults even the butt-kissers in his rallies. It might be possible to jump-the-shark on that approach, but the audience still enjoys it.
Trump is stupid to agree to this. I guess he doesn't remember the last debate where Wallace pushed Biden over the finish line by giving him the questions in advance and muted trump's mic.

Reagan did this in 1980 tried to debate Carter but refused so he debated a third party candidate then Carter buckled. Learn from history it ain’t hard

You must have missed the 2020 debates. Biden won the first debate, partially because there was a biased moderator. He was no pushover in the second either. You would have thought Trump learned his lesson, but he didn’t. Instead of being arrogant and cocky about it, we should be demanding more fair terms to the debates.

As much as I wanted to see a debate between these two, I have strong reservations about the venues and the format. It is clear that Trump will be facing opposition moderators. But even more concerning to me is that with the studio format, Biden will likely have coaching on each and every response spoken directly into his ear by his handlers, just like news anchors have. It will hide the fact that Biden cannot think or speak clearly. It’ll be the ultimate ventriloquist act. I’m surprised Trump would agree to this. It is also likely Biden will get the debate questions in advance just as Donna Brazile did for Hilary. Trump should rethink this and add a few caviats, imho.
