The USS Dita Von Teese?! That's an... unexpected name. Good battle! I love the idea of a Nebula 2.0.
I had to look up Dita Von Teese, I highly doubt she'd get a ship named after her or be remembered in the 23rd century, but hey, the designer of the ship was clearly a fan so they can name the ship whatever they want.
After she was elected president of the United States in 2040 and then UN Secretary general in 2049 she was remembered as the greatest peacemaker the Earth had ever known.

In your first fight, I liked how you did that Immelman to dodge some of those quantums.
That reminds me of when Mayweather did a full loop to get behind the Klingons.
Spock even mentioned that most people have 2 dimensional thinking in space combat. 😀
And yes, they have highly regenerative shields. Holy crap!

The Akira is a great Torpedo Cruiser, but the Nebula was always the more versatile ship, and with a proper tactical pod just a more powerful heavy cruiser. The Akira can throw a lot of torpedoes but doesn't have many phaser arrays. In a longer fight the Nebula's phasers would wear down the Akira's shields. Of course, any refit model of Nebula would be that much more powerful.
I really like the USS Dita Von Teese. I think if they took the impulse drives from the Ross Class this ship would be far more maneuverable. The saucer sections impulse engines are too small for a ship this size and widen the lower impulse drive unit also. While we're at it why hasn't anyone ever given these Galaxy class saucer sections a second phaser array to give it two large arrays top and bottom I mean they have the space considering that the majority of the saucer sections space is that massive shuttle bay on deck 4.

It'd be cool to see what the Klingon Ravenous can do in this game, only game I ever saw it in was startrek legacy, It was available in multiplayer and the fleet of ships issued to you in the team up mode with the federation against a romulan invasion with 30 thousand command points. It kinda looks like if a Negh'Var and a Vorcha class had a baby.

Nebula-Class, I wish this class or the Hellrazar would be the first starship in the Fleet to warp to even #10, which is what it needs. Thanks; like I said, the Nebula is my favorite starship overall! VonTeese is standing tall and stoic. Told ya Nebula-class is the best starship in the fleet; it is cool and chic to command a Nebula-Starship in the Fleet.
there's a part of me that wants to see a successor design to the Nebula class putting a saucer section designed after the Sovereign's saucer section at the heart of a Nebula-style secondary hull

Yes. Every time an Akira blows up I think oh nooo, what’s Steve’s gonna say 😂. The Akira shall be getting Quantum’s at some point! Currently on my build list. Oooh a photonic canon 😂. The ECH will be pleased 🖖

Might have to bring out the Alita class vs the Dita Von Teese
The Acura class is using out of date technology compared to the nebula class. You’ll have to up date the Acura with modern shielding and ablative armor especially along the two pylons and the torpedo launcher and worpcore think all of nothing armor scheme like the USN used on the old battleships.
The Akira Class was commissioned in 2371 whereas the Nebula was commissioned around 2362. Even a refit Nebula is not going to be that much more advanced than the Akira. However, that said, the Akira is a purpose made Torpedo Cruiser while the Nebula is a larger, more versatile heavy explorer that can be modified to be a pretty powerful heavy cruiser. A tactical Nebula is going to be a heavier ship than the Akira.
Imagine if the AI actually fired all of its weapons lol

I though Sovereign Class hulls were oval in shape: the Dita is more like a Nebula Refit Refit.

@@RetroBadgerGaming yes I see. Has there ever been a canon version of this type of starship in the post TOS but before TNG; I'm thinking the Excelsior class.
Once more, you HAVE to watch how you are turning and how the enemy is turning. Since the Dita has quantums, you can NOT afford to get in front of them. Stay behind or to the sides...this is NOT hard to do if you're paying attention. You're getting blown up from careless flying.

I am looking foward to the next updat from bc remastered. If I'm honest I'm getting way too many ships and would like to strip back and just have a limited number of better ships
My guess is that whenever this update is going to be done it's going to be not unlike the last update and there will be a certain number of ships automatically included

Yes, exactly! This version doesn’t have a single bad ship. They are all perfectly balanced against each other. It includes all of the ships you’d ever need really. Hopefully it comes out soon 🖖
The Akira class was designed to pummel its enemies from range lol 😅 Close Quarter fighting was left to the Defiant and Steamrunner class ships
Personally I dont like some elements of the USS Dita Von Teese's design, the nacelle pylons feel to squated, and I def do not like that small cube inmpulse engine in the center

Dita Von Teese vs Archangel
What if both the USS Dita Von Teese VS Akira Class has a couple of extra long range spinal phaser lances that can fire both forward and backward. The extra long range only has just above medium in phaser power for each phaser lance but this is more of having that extra edge in combat.

Is there a benefit to boosting energy to sensors? When I played back in the day I always reduced power to sensors during battles to save energy
It very much depends on which mod is being played. Kobayashimaru has inaccurate phasers by design. If you increase power in remastered I don’t think it makes a difference. Sometimes I just do it by default. That’s a smart move reducing power, as they still seem to work just fine. I think it may effect how far away you can detect ships though. If Miguel does a scan it temporarily increases sensory power to 125% 🖖
