Unfortunately, Megiti died, and this means that the human animal is the one who brought her death, but it is God’s will, this is life, whether we like it or not. One day must leave this mortal world.
Golden wolves are dogs that constitute the genus Flavocyon, they are native to Northern Africa, there are two extant species of golden wolf: the Ethiopian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon simensis) and the Common Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster), the ethiopian golden wolf has two recognized subspecies: the South Ethiopian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon simensis citernii) and the North Ethiopian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon simensis simensis), while the common golden wolf has six recognized subspecies: the Serengeti Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster bea), the Somali Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster riparius), the Nubian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster soudanicus), the Senegal Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster anthus), the Egyptian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster lupaster), and the Algerian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster algirensis).
@KalobBurnett, the Canis genus is polyphyletic, there are now only eight extant species in the genus: the Grey Wolf (Canis lupus (cladistically including the Domestic Dog (Canis lupus familiaris))), the White Wolf (Canis albus), the Sea Wolf (Canis crassodon), the Eastern Wolf (Canis lycaon), the Red Wolf (Canis rufus), the Pale-Footed Wolf (Canis pallipes), the New Guinea Singing Dog (Canis hallstromi), and the Dingo (Canis dingo), none of which live in Africa The other six extant species are now relocated to three separate genera The side-striped jackal and black-backed jackal are both now placed under the genus Lupulella with their scientific names now being Lupulella adusta and Lupulella mesomelas respectively The ethiopian golden wolf and common golden wolf are both now placed under the genus Flavocyon with their scientific names now being Flavocyon simensis and Flavocyon lupaster respectively And the golden jackal and coyote are both now placed under the genus Prolupus with their scientific names now being Prolupus aureus and Prolupus latrans respectively While the genus Prolupus that contains both the golden jackal and coyote is officially a sister taxon to the Canis genus that is now restricted only to the grey wolf, white wolf, sea wolf, eastern wolf, red wolf, pale-footed wolf, new guinea singing dog, and dingo, the genera Lupulella (African Jackals) and Flavocyon (Golden Wolves) are not closely related to the Canis genus at all, the former is now widely accepted to be the most basal extant genus of the Canina subtribe while the latter is only more derived than the other african genera Lupulella and Lycaon but is basal to the Cuon + (Prolupus + Canis) clade, meaning that the golden jackal, coyote, grey wolf, white wolf, sea wolf, eastern wolf, red wolf, pale-footed wolf, new guinea singing dog, and dingo are all more closely related to the dhole than to any of the other african members of the Canina subtribe such as the side-striped jackal, black-backed jackal, african wild dog, ethiopian golden wolf, and common golden wolf In case you should now know, there are now twenty extant genera of dogs: Urocyon, Atelocynus, Speothos, Chrysocyon, Bassarilupus, Pseudalopex, Lycalopex, Cerdocyon, Vulpes, Neocyon, Alopex, Fennecus, Otocyon, Nyctereutes, Lupulella, Lycaon, Flavocyon, Cuon, Prolupus, and Canis The Urocyon genus contains two extant species: the Grey Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) and the Channel Island Fox (Urocyon littoralis) The Atelocynus genus contains only one recognized species: the Short-Eared Jackal (Atelocynus microtis) The Speothos genus contains only one extant species: the Bushdog (Speothos venaticus) The Chrysocyon genus contains only one extant species: the Maned Wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) The Bassarilupus genus contains two extant species: the Pampas Fox (Bassarilupus gymnocercus) and the Sechuran Fox (Bassarilupus sechurae) The Pseudalopex genus contains two extant species: the Culpeo (Pseudalopex culpaeus) and the Hoary Fox (Pseudalopex vetulus) The Lycalopex genus contains two extant species: the Chilla (Lycalopex griseus) and the Darwin's Fox (Lycalopex fulvipes) The Cerdocyon genus contains only one extant species: the Crab-Eating Fox (Cerdocyon thous) The Vulpes genus contains three extant species: the Eurasian Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes), the American Red Fox (Vulpes fulva), and the African Red Fox (Vulpes barbara) The Neocyon genus contains only one recognized species: the Tibetan Fox (Neocyon ferrilatus) The Alopex genus contains four extant species: the Corsac Fox (Alopex corsac), the Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus), the Swift Fox (Alopex velox), and the Kit Fox (Alopex macrotis) The Fennecus genus contains six extant species: the Bengal Fox (Fennecus bengalensis), the Blanford's Fox (Fennecus canus), the Ruppell's Fox (Fennecus rueppellii), the Fennec Fox (Fennecus zerda), the Pale Fox (Fennecus pallidus), and the Cape Fox (Fennecus chama) The Otocyon genus contains only one extant species: the Bat-Eared Fox (Otocyon megalotis) The Nyctereutes genus contains two extant species: the Chinese Raccoon Dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) and the Japanese Raccoon Dog (Nyctereutes viverrinus) The Lupulella genus contains two extant species: the Side-Striped Jackal (Lupulella adusta) and the Black-Backed Jackal (Lupulella mesomelas) The Lycaon genus contains only one recognized species: the African Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus) The Flavocyon genus contains two extant species: the Ethiopian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon simensis) and the Common Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster) The Cuon genus contains only one extant species: the Dhole (Cuon alpinus) The Prolupus genus contains two extant species: the Golden Jackal (Prolupus aureus) and the Coyote (Prolupus latrans) The Canis genus contains eight extant species: the Grey Wolf (Canis lupus (cladistically including the Domestic Dog (Canis lupus familiaris))), the White Wolf (Canis albus), the Sea Wolf (Canis crassodon), the Eastern Wolf (Canis lycaon), the Red Wolf (Canis rufus), the Pale-Footed Wolf (Canis pallipes), the New Guinea Singing Dog (Canis hallstromi), and the Dingo (Canis dingo)

Thanks so much for a first class doco. It was extra special to me as I have a great interest in the Australian dingo and I have hand raised 3 siblings from age about 3wks. They are really beautiful animals and our girl Sandy can be found on Sandy Genome searches as she now represents the genetic proof the Australian dingo is a seperate species to domestic dogs and is an off shoot from the grey wolf. What struck me about the Ethiopian wolf was the distinct similarity to our 3 desert dingoes. Our dingoes use identical hunting strategies as these wolves do and hunt witchetty grubs by smell and digging. I would love to know how close the genetic link would be, also if Ethiopian wolf females only have one season like dingoes. Anyway great video all round.

Que triste la historia de Megeti, me preguntó que medidas se estan tomando en Etiopía para preservar una especie tan amenazada... Leí que quedan poco mas de 450 lobos etíopes en su habitad
Yes from canine distemper brought in by the settlers' dogs who aren't immunized and their dogs die from it too. There needs to be a distemper campaign where the villagers' dogs all get immunized.@@daniellewillis2767
please, improve your dubbing style, Its dubbing is look like a google translator , So viewers cannot feel the connection to your main aim. I am also lover of wild documentary and i also wanna to watch other people which is not know about wild and wildlife so they do not fell the mutual connection between wild life and human . and I thought that like this channel spread love between human and nature . So increase dubbing style and attract the people .
I admire how you advocate for wildlife protection. Your efforts to raise awareness about endangered species are incredibly important.
