I really don’t understand how games like Fallout, Skyrim, Bioshock, Last of Us, Tsishuma or Witcher are classified as Adventure games. They would also top a list of RPG games or Open World games. Adventure games do not have skill progressions or a combat system like Witcher, Fallout or Skyrim. You would simply solve puzzles and watch the story unfold. Grim Fandango, Curse of Monkey Island and Telltale games are perfect examples to this genre. I can’t see how Monkey Island and Fallout are in the same genre. I mean yes, sure they are “adventures” as in “the story is an adventure” for even Far Cry which is the most blatant example to be used in this list probably. But then again, every game is an adventure! Even Football Manager has adventure elements if you look at it that way. I am sorry but you could have used games like Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis, The Dig, Full Throttle, Maniac Mansion (how can you not list that!), Leisure Suit Larry, Simon the Sorcerer, Sam & Max series, Space Quest series, Gabriel Knight, Broken Sword, Day of the Tentacle and so many others instead of -pardon me but- going cheap with Fallout, Skyrim and the lot. I love those games you mentioned as adventure which I am protesting against and finished them all multiple times. But they are simply not adventure games and I hate this blunder of genres in gaming industry so I had to say something…
Sorry for being sick, hope it doesn't ruin the video 😅
