@@RavenKnight2408 I was able to progress with the mods and fast travel. I played this game a few years ago and got stuck so I stopped playing but with the mods they added made this game better.
Loved the settlements addition in this. A breath of fresh air from the lunacy of the wastelands. Reminded me of the sims a lot, just a post apocalyptic version.
+gameranx Well I am one of those weird fucks who didn't like Fallout 3(it was disappointing to me, should note I played the 360 version), but I absolutely loved Fallout New Vegas, it just felt more fleshed out.
Man I can't wait to play this game a lot of people have this game and still play it non stop. I'm late on the hype train I just got into fallout this year I got fallout three like two months ago with all the DLC in it but whenever I played it I fell in love and I literally almost had to take a crowbar and use it on my face to get it away from the TV. I also just recently got new Vegas and I hear that it's really good. I just started new Vegas and I don't know if I like 3s atmosphere better or new Vegas atmosphere better. I'm hopefully getting a PS four for this Christmas because right now I only have an Xbox 360. Can't wait for this game
It's complete crap. I honestly regret buying it, going to trade it in now. Only watching these videos to see if there is any reason to stick around to finish the game. Trust me it's not worth even a heavy price drop.
+Perfectionist Replying late, but fuck it. The base building is a required section in the main quest in which you need to build a teleporter device. It's as dumb as it sounds, much like the rest of the game.
i like playing without a companion it gives the game a whole different feel. like a survival horror game. with a companion you basically have a shield and enemies instantly become less scary since they'll charge at your companion if you hide behind them.
I know this is a hella old video, but I have to say I 1. Love that your videos are always in the first 5 when typing in just the name, and 2. That you continue to do them, you've helped me decide on games countless times. You're the hero Gotham needed.
Not really... It's still the best one, but I would start with FO3. There's a big backstory to the game, but it's fine st start with FO4. There's a little intro describing what happened, but I would watch some videos about it if you want to start with FO4
+KevWebsz In FO3 there is no vault 111 so this is like another region or something like that. And you don't play as the same character so it really doesn't matter. It's a completely new story :)
As long as you know the basics yes. Nuclear war happened bringing tons of mutated creatures like the radroaches or bloatflys now people need to survive in this awful war torn places. Also the vault scientists were assholes who are responsible for almost all the vaults failing and everyone in them being killed
For your negative note on companions, you gotta gear them out for them to be lethal. When you are in their inventory certain characters are able to equip certain gear. They also have built in buffs (one will hack computers for you/etc) .. Give em power armor, and gotta give them ammo for their new toys.
Dogmeat is really damned handy, can find all sorts of loot for you - though on the odd occassion can get in the way, but it only takes a moment to move past, and generally not a problem - XD ..and tackles enemy so both distracting and gives you an easier time to take them out, and what they did with the power armour is just awesome, you do need to decide when you want to use it, instead of before where it's just, yay, power-armour wear it forever, now it's "love power armour but do I really need to use it right now", and finding customisation plans etc.. add to being able to make it all more personal :D
First time in years I have been truly happy with a purchase and feel the actual love the developers put in and didn't do it just for money and cutting costs and to bring in the cod community. Truly an amazing game
Some problems i had with fallout 4:- Traps are fucking useless. They can get triggered by friendly people, they only work once, they cost a lot of resources, etc.- Building a big base (with lots of defences) isn't as rewarding as it could've been because the few times it actually gets raided the raiders(/synths/supermutants) die in the first 5 seconds.. I really wanted something to test my awesome defences out but what I got was this: Settlement is being attacked! fast travel to settlement. Hell breaks loose for a few seconds. Every enemy is dead. collect loot and fast travel back. (there are mods that attempt to improve this but they don't..)- Exploration gets boring. Not a lot of places are 'special' enough to be interesting.- Good quests (apart from the main one) are hard to find, the remaining ones are repetitive and fucking boring ( "I heard of another settlement that needs our help! I'll mark the location on your map." Fucking do it yourself Preston.)Still a great game though but it gets boring and that could've easily been prevented.
Am I the only one who doesn't really care about fram rate? Im on the ps4 and I never notice anything bad cause im not looking for it to be bad. And even if The fram rate is bad I doesn't bother me cause I know it'll go back to normal in seconds.
I've noticed a few times the frames have went low, but honestly never as much as people are saying, people like to embellish a lot of it just to get into the argument.
I don't notice framerate drops, I don't really care much for graphics well I do but I don't mind if its not super realistic, like skyrim for instance graphics weren't great but its one of the best games ever made so yeah I prefer enjoyability over graphical power and framerates, although damn did framerates for skyrim on ps3 drop
I like how the game is really easy to get into compared to 3 and NV. in both 3 and NV I found myself almost lost and turned off within an hour or two but with 4 I've been able to actually get into to it a little more and get going with the quest.
just snagged it for $17.84 on the PS store, just now getting back into gaming after 4 years and can't wait for it to download!! Good thing work slows down for me in the winter...
My first fallout game was fallout 4 , now ive played new vegas and fallout 76 and i would choose fallout 4 and 76 over any other, i dont get why people loved NV and fallout 3
Yes I love this game so much. A big improvement over the other Fallout's. You should do some videos useing DLC's they are really good. I'm done with the main story and most of the side quest do you know of any hidden side missions or something.
I have been replaying Fallout 4 on PS5, I loved the game when it came out, finished the main story back in 2015, now in 2023 its a lot of fun exploring the world, gets me nostalgic, lots of stuff I missed out in my initial play through, happy to see Mods available on consoles for the game, make the game a lot better,
Iv logged about 24 hours into this game and I love it. favorite part is the base building and weapon crafting. very in depth and addictive. wish there was a little more explanation in some areas but ya kno... google. I literally had to mow my grass in the dark thisevening because I couldn't put the damn controller down.
In my opinion, this game is a masterpiece. The main storyline is great and the whole open world is just flawless, immersive.. However, if you choose to play Fallout 4, be aware that this game will hit you right in the feels more than once, and that there will be some hard and game-changing choices in this game. You have to be prepared ou you shall feel depressed for an hour or so like myself.
Orgins wery gud but onli can play 1 time bcz second time nothing New to see ( i hawe 120 h in game didnt yet beat dlc) fallout 4 you can play many time and discover somthing New
Falout 4... or 40 bucks extra and get red dead 2? What should i do? Ive got: Spiderman ps4 AC Odyseyy Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen Witcher 3 Wich i still i have to finish

I hate people who hate this game. I give it a perfect 10/10 this game is GREAT. For The Railroad! 1. Fallout 4 2. Fallout 3 3. Fallout New Vegas 4. Fallout 2 5. Fallout
Kieran Welch I mean he has it above every other fallout. I mean is guess it's for gameplay reason but then I would have to wonder why 3 is above nv since nv slightly improved on 3's gameplay
+andrew huckle If he was, he would have to disclose it first. Also, he's not allowed to love this game? You may think it's average, and that is fine, but insinuating that he is not allowed to have his own opinion and that he is only supposed to think the very same as you do is quite pig-headed.
yes perfect assumption, I'm sure after hours of hard research and thought to uncover the truth. you have indeed discovered that Todd Howard payed him to like this game. it is the only possibility, I mean everyone is bribed and forced to enjoy things right, I mean do these cookies really taste like shit? however someone is paying me to say "god dam these cookies are delicious!". news flash your not the only person on this world and your opinion is not the only matters to yourself. just like mine is only important to me.
Here's my dream start to fallout, you start in a unnuked world, your at work, at your desk, just reading information on your terminal, you work for vault tech, suddenly a siren begins to Blair out, your assistant walks in and tells you that you need to get underground to the vault, as you get to the entrance to see a guard refuse to let a pedestrian in because there not vault tech employees, you go to intervene but are inturputed by another guard, you get into the vault, you see your wife, who is pregnant, it cuts to 6 months later, she gives birth then you customise what you character will look like fallout 3 style, then cuts to 18 years later, your vault is under attack by raiders you are forced to venture into the new world!
to anyone who dares go into the comment section your gonna have a bad time also get some pastries and candy because OH DEAR LORD THE SALT MMM SUCH SEA SALTY GOODNESS
I hope they continue the settlement building into the next game (TES 6 or Fallout 5), but I hope that it is refined. I wouldn't mind having fewer options if they were limited to areas like Spectacle Island (a Settlement that is in the middle of the water, you have to swim out to it, kill some Mirelurks, don't try it at a low level), which is the biggest settlement in the entire game, it's like the size of Diamond City or so I'd say. I would like a more in-depth set of options, that don't focus as much around the generic NPCs that nobody knows or cares about. For example, you might do a quest for a local blacksmith (TES obviously), and afterwards the may offer to come and work for you at your settlement. You would gain a new, unique building option, which would be their house with a blacksmith forge and all, and you would place it down. It might be upgradeable or expandable later on, where he would offer additional quests (or in general as you level up in commanding allies/settlers) and as a reward you would be able to 'tear' down his current house, and replace it with a new, unique option, which would be bigger, with more options, perhaps some unique flavor. This wouldn't say exclude a generic blacksmith from doing something similar, (upgradeable buildings that are pre-made so that they look and feel high quality). There would need to be an enchanter (a guy that you can pay to enchant your items, I don't want the Skyrim enchanting system returned, I'd rather have an NPC do it as the Skill tree in Skyrim was lacking, and not all that fun), a Spell Crafter (similar to weapons in Fallout 4, pick several different areas after the base one is chosen, and then alter it, increasing range, damage, rate-of-damage, decreased cost, etc.). Perhaps each would offer different options to the actual gameplay of the Settlers or Villagers themselves, or whoever lives there. So you would find that having a T1 out of T3 BS would grant a new standard of armor to your people, they would wear better armor, and it might even be emblazoned with a personal touch the player can choose (unique armor customization; put an emblem on their armor). Higher levels might offer additional customization options, better armor that has different models, and better base weaponry. The enchanter would give enchanted weapons and armor, with visual distinctions notable. The spell crafter would add guards that are mages, from recruits to masters, perhaps using the spells you craft and mark as standard to use. They would be able to craft items for free or cheap if you have the materials, or you could alternatively pay to have it done. Additional levels in terms of T1 - T2 and whatnot for each would be locked behind quests, perks, or something similar. Perhaps you would be given a radiant quest to go hunt down a powerful spellmage, and convince him to join you and work for you. He would offer additional quests, some radiant, some not, and these would increase the offerings available to you that he can do, he might be able to help you locate magical stores of goods (dungeons where you will find more loot than normal), might offer spell training, might sell spells/magical goods, or might even be able to locate other resources you need for say the blacksmith, or increasing the strength of your defenses, town economy, etc. Rather than having the very specific building thing that Fallout 4 had, I'd suggest a combination between it and Hearthfire addon. More aptly, it would be a combination between Fable-business owning and renting, and whatnot. You might end up owning a small town, whose defenses you could increase, who would be attacked as a result of your decisions (Vampires, Werewolves, people of the opposite faction, bandits, etc.), you could recruit and manage vendors, who would offer everything I said above, and perhaps more. The options you have might change or might be increased depending on which factions you back/side with, and above all there would be early choices that determine which factions you can and can't join (to increase replayability, and diversity in terms of what factions do). You could choose to become a Vampire, and form a coven in said town, changing the peasants there into livestock and/or vampires themselves (with appropriate visual changes/radiant dialogue). Doing so might piss of a group similar to the Vigilants of Stendarr, who will never allow you to join them now (would be known to the player beforehand). Werewolves might be an option similar to this. You could side with a group of Necromancers, pissing off the people that oppose them. Or you could side with the people that are against said people, and that would piss off the Necromancers. Your settlement/village/town could be attacked, and you'd be asked to defend it. As for building itself, you might have say 5 spots for buildings, and you'd have like 20 different buildings you can place. They would have varying options, so you might build a bank which would attract wandering travelers, increase the odds of you being attacked by bandits and their ilk, but also grant money every day/week. A blacksmith building might offer the ability to have custom-forged weapons made on demand, no more wandering around to have a specific blade requisitioned, trying to find a set of armor, might offer unique-upgrades for your companions/guards of said area, or might offer the ability to arm caravans for a price (etc). Each would have unique tradeoffs and cons to their building (or really unique mechanics if no cons). There might be unique buildings or options available for each faction, Vampires could build a crypt and livestock stables (Buwhaahhaha), Werewolves would build a garden to pray to Hircine (or something similar), whereas their hunters might be able to build special areas that grant unique abilities towards hunting them. Might gain access to a shrine to pray to that will lead them on a quest to assemble a set of holy armor and weapons to hunt them down (like Knights of the Nine), etc. Idea is to create diversity while retaining quality in terms of area design. There would be nothing that is clear cut to be better.
I've gotten this game and I'm at a part where you have to go to a certain area w/ Nick Valentine and you always encounter three super mutants and more raiders when you run away and it's kind of turned me off of the game. Advice?
When I first got this game a little over a year ago, I never realized just how hooked I would get. I also got some other games, and have yet to play them, LOL! There's just something about this game that has me mesmerized. And just when I thought I was going to be done and move on, the DLC's started coming out, LOL! +XxUn3que GlitcherxX True but it's still pathetic considering you've been able to run games at 60 fps on PC for like a decade.

Best game of all time I have 2000+ hours on fallout 4 and still the game is enjoyable especially the dlc’s it adds tons of more story line.

Loved the settlements addition in this. A breath of fresh air from the lunacy of the wastelands. Reminded me of the sims a lot, just a post apocalyptic version.
For those coming back here because of the show, this is the game to play!
If i didnt like fallout 3 then will i like 4?
+Jesse Heslehurst probably not.
+gameranx Well I am one of those weird fucks who didn't like Fallout 3(it was disappointing to me, should note I played the 360 version), but I absolutely loved Fallout New Vegas, it just felt more fleshed out.

arse monkey or pirate it
Man I can't wait to play this game a lot of people have this game and still play it non stop.
Yes New Vegas is Awesome as well... You should also try Elder Scrolls Seris ( Morrow wind, Oblivion, Skyrim)

Crazy Jake well you would be honestly dissapointed i think..

it really is just opinionated. in my experience, it's dope.
i actually just bought it from steam for $40, and i realise halloween sale is coming soon so ill be able to refund it if it gets cheaper in halloween
It's complete crap. I honestly regret buying it, going to trade it in now. Only watching these videos to see if there is any reason to stick around to finish the game. Trust me it's not worth even a heavy price drop.

You can play right now. Use a VPN. JUST DO IT! It's so damn fun.
Darin Kishore No, I can do it! I can wait just a few more hours! I cant give in too soon! >.
Can you play the game without paying to much attention on the base building?
yea
It's completely optional
+Perfectionist Lol, I think he already said that in the video
+Perfectionist Looks like you don't like to pay attention to anything ever.

Is Fallout 4 good for newcomers to the series?
Not really... It's still the best one, but I would start with FO3. There's a big backstory to the game, but it's fine st start with FO4. There's a little intro describing what happened, but I would watch some videos about it if you want to start with FO4
Yeah, just watch some video of gameplay from older games, and videos of the fallout lore if u want to know some backstory. That's what I did.
Jump right in, you'll be fine! It's not important to know all the details of the previous games
+WolfTheNinja why not but imo do the 3 , then NV , then the 4.
if you were to just jump in to a fallout game, jump in to F4.
You've convinced me ill FINNALY get fallout 4

Do yourself a favor and get the game if you haven't at this point, is a fucking blast.
Why is jake a sellout?
How is it for someone who never played the previous fallout games?
+KevWebsz It doesnt matter the game isnt story related to the other games and you'll be just fine
+KevWebsz In FO3 there is no vault 111 so this is like another region or something like that. And you don't play as the same character so it really doesn't matter. It's a completely new story :)
+Emilson It's actually in WashingtonDC and instead of vault 111 it's 101
As long as you know the basics yes.
Nuclear war happened bringing tons of mutated creatures like the radroaches or bloatflys now people need to survive in this awful war torn places. Also the vault scientists were assholes who are responsible for almost all the vaults failing and everyone in them being killed

For your negative note on companions, you gotta gear them out for them to be lethal. When you are in their inventory certain characters are able to equip certain gear. They also have built in buffs (one will hack computers for you/etc) .. Give em power armor, and gotta give them ammo for their new toys.

Sure you can slap a lot of different combinations of a single gun
But will they all be good? Nah, not really
Downloading this game was one of the best decisions I've ever made
Dogmeat is really damned handy, can find all sorts of loot for you - though on the odd occassion can get in the way, but it only takes a moment to move past, and generally not a problem - XD ..and tackles enemy so both distracting and gives you an easier time to take them out, and what they did with the power armour is just awesome, you do need to decide when you want to use it, instead of before where it's just, yay, power-armour wear it forever, now it's "love power armour but do I really need to use it right now", and finding customisation plans etc.. add to being able to make it all more personal :D

This comment aged so well 😂 I’m also crying from sadness not just laughter. I loved this bethesda so much I’m so sad now they ended up
Some problems i had with fallout 4:- Traps are fucking useless.
+Jack Finnegan same here but I play on Xbox1
I've noticed a few times the frames have went low, but honestly never as much as people are saying, people like to embellish a lot of it just to get into the argument.
Most likely happens to pc gamers.. my framerate has sudden drops for no reason sometimes, and my rig isn't that shitty either.
Feckin fram 🤔
I don't notice framerate drops, I don't really care much for graphics well I do but I don't mind if its not super realistic, like skyrim for instance graphics weren't great but its one of the best games ever made so yeah I prefer enjoyability over graphical power and framerates, although damn did framerates for skyrim on ps3 drop

In my opinion, this game is a masterpiece. The main storyline is great and the whole open world is just flawless, immersive..
However, if you choose to play Fallout 4, be aware that this game will hit you right in the feels more than once, and that there will be some hard and game-changing choices in this game. You have to be prepared ou you shall feel depressed for an hour or so like myself.
i heavily disagree, the game is great but mostly as a jump off point for mods, the storyline is very underwhelming IMO
