100% agree. Hate speedskin. Tried the axis on in the store and they felt relatively comfortable but Im just so turned off by speedskin, although your point seems to be that it's more so the design of the pads.
I really love the feel of my Eflex 4. Do you think the AXIS pad would actually feel like an Eflex more than Premier? I mean, the soft boot, 90 degree angle, like you mentioned, gives a more connected feel to the pad? Like an extension of your led instead of the "Bauer" feel, where I feel like having a board in front of my legs?
@@HockeyReviews Probably due to my glove being an intermediate Premier 2.9. (curse those large but short hands of mine) It's stiff as a brick and I still get some stingers. Intermediate is probably just lower quality I guess?
From 1999 to 2017 I always been mckenney equipment guy. Since being married I made a switch to bauer vapor line do to price I got vapor x900 line equipment it’s awesome to to me being a agile , fast pace goalie it fits me I got vapor x900 pad it’s so fast on ice I tend to fly away from goal I got powerful legs so I had to use gentle slides now in butterfly position I will be buying another vapor pad like 2.9 vapor or more pro model of vapor Any chance you ever review bauer vapor line ?
For the Axis, what would you recommend (sizing) for someone 6’1” and 22.5” from floor to knee cap? Their charts recommend 34 for my height but 35 for my measurements. I currently wear the 36+1 Bauer. So I feel kinda lost. Lol
I don't like to give suggestions on sizing since everyone is different. All I will say is an XL Bauer work for me and the 34" Axis was the correct size.
So I currently wear a 32 plus 1 ccm premier and I have always strapped down towards my calf. Basically your saying I need to down a size and strap behind my knee?
I don't have the pads as I borrowed them from a friend. You can message him on Kijiji though. www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1546507217&siteLocale=en_CA&fbclid=IwAR06XrYbpM0b3egNu9522MSHqa6AJT3Nt4GCRm11ESCbOzNYhuYyi7IGoDs
Thanks for the information on the sizing! Super helpful when I ordered my custom set.
I would still take a very long look at their sizing chart. But from my experience they fit really large.
I love the look of the axis
Same

My issue is they could be SO much better if they had Quickslide
I prefer the CCM color to your Warrior colors .The Warrior are too busy .
Yeah... That was the point of the Warriors 🤦♂️
I have this set, and I find the P2 alot better, especially with the seal on the ice.
Almost like I mentioned the seal on the P2 were better than these in the video 🤔
@@HockeyReviews that's why P2 are better 😉 rebounds push a tad harder and improved blocker. Pads on the other hand P2s for moi.

I think these feel closer to an Eflex than Premier and Bauer pads do.
@@HockeyReviews Thank you for the response!
Now if only they could make a good glove that close as smoothly as a Bauer one that be great :)
Hey... my Eflex 600 closed amazingly after crushing the foams on it... 0 issues with the Axis 590 I have checked out as well.

Warrior g4 slides so so good even on ice when is super chewed up best pad I’ve ever seen haven’t got to use them much though
As someone that has G5... they don't slide better than Vaughn or Bauer.

I have review the entire Vapor line for pads and gloves before: ruclips.net/video/bAN2m3D2Sw4/видео.html
Ok think I seen this video
Cool
I’ll watch it again then

@@HockeyReviews Okay that's fair. Appreciate the feedback.

I can only comment on my experiences. My 35+2 Premier with the strap behind the knee landed in the same area as the 34+2 Axis behind the knee.
Would u sell the ccm pads ?

My Bauer supreme pads slide like shit but my Eflex 4s are the best sliding pad I’VE ever used
I am going to go on a limb and say your probably not using the top end Supreme pads are you? Like you aren't using the 2S Pro?
Where are these made? Canada?
Labelled "Vietnam"
I agree ... these things are UGLY... I'd go all black with red letters and that's it lol
