The gear's only as good as the goalie. Don't waste a second doubting yourself. The loose connection to the skates let you lock into the posts. Your glove hand is elite, irrespective of the glove. Get your gear this year, and go for it. We're all cheering for you (except for Fox, who thinks you're a sieve).
Great review , The glove was eating the pucks up , But I also know you got skills .Like the flexable boot .But I may go with the eflex pads with Axis gloves. 😅
from what I've seen in recent ccm gear is that whatever size you wear currently, if you go ccm downsize an inch. my Bauers are XS (32) and if I planned on going ccm id need a 31. looks like they fixed all the problems from axis and axis2, hopefully they do better at retail this time around
@@tommywd40 that's if you're getting sized properly (I've got 10 years in sizing goalies and players too). also the smaller pads tend to lead to more performance aspects.
@@tommywd40 im in 32 in warrior and Bauer and they fit pretty spot on in the knee, the thigh in the warrior is a bit stiffer so it sits a touch higher.
The Axis XF pro gear looks nice on ya. Nothing wrong w/ demoing it. Though I want to ask why you switched up skates to True 2 piece instead of your summer TF boot? I switched over from 3s to True 2 piece skates btw 😅👌 so I’m all in on having you with the 2 piece boot as they feel nice.
Good review. I think you'd like the 6's a lot more based on your preferences. You're not going to like the 581. I would stick with the 591 -- it looks perfect on you. I've been using the 6 set this summer with the Axis 2 C/A and I'm loving the combination.
Picked up a CCM Axis a few months ago. Was surprised how much I prefer the lack of finger stalls now. Wish they held up longer, blocker is already starting to break down. Pads look nice but it's going to come down to personal preference. Wish us beer leaguers were sent demo sets to try out
@@KasimirKaskisuoOfficial that's awesome. I ordered myself a ccm eflex 6.5 it's cheaper construction but has the 581 flex. Curious what its gonna be like
Yea everyone has a preference. Quality control could be better but beside my rbks back in the day, they have been a great fit. I know a lot of guys with the new lines out now, Bauer seems to have a little bit over other but hey. If your opinions is different then that’s cool. Do you. Have fun out there!
I lose all my power when pushing off the rvh with bungees. After coaching kids this summer, i noticed that every kid with bungees struggled with post integration
Nice job, lots of detail with an objective review

keep up the great work Kaz!

That's more of a Bauer thing than the other brands. I'm in 35+2 in most sets but in XL bauer.

@@raymcgirr7143 I meant Bauer pads fit smaller generally. Their XL is like a 34+2 in the new slr3 and 4 as an example
@@tommywd40 im in 32 in warrior and Bauer and they fit pretty spot on in the knee, the thigh in the warrior is a bit stiffer so it sits a touch higher.
@raymcgirr7143 yeah, again it depends on the model and branding. Bauer however, in general are smaller than what they claim to be.
Looking good on the ice. Those boot rebounds did look awkward, with them just kicking out wherever
Loved the review !
Great gear review, loved the insight. A- due to lack of a ‘sieve’ chant
Had a custom axis 2 set and i hated that professor strap, they did slide exceptionally well if you get weave on the slide surface
I can see that!
I have the axis 2 and was wondering if these were a positive upgrade from the 2
Never tried any of the axis before

My TF’s are falling apart so i skated with my old ones a few times
Honestly you look and play great in the ccm gear, but something about me loves my Bauer gear, I do rock the ccm glove tho
Kaz,how often do you go on the ice these days, what does your week look like as a free agent at the moment?

Work at a hockey store part time like I do for employee discount.
Bauer experience stores have ice and demo gear you can test on the ice
@bravestender at a discounted fire how much would you get the total custom pro set for?
how did u break in the glove? skate oven?
Game ready glove, it was like that straight out of the box

I would love to see you trying some Warrior gear. Pick up the Warrior ritual g6 line and do little review of them!!
I reached out to them but havent heard back

Did you break in the glove before testing them out, if yes how did you break it in

Hey Kaz,what do you thin about Oura ring? Do you still use it?
I still use it. Its accurate but after 3 years ive learned to know my sleep

Can you use it on the ice too👀?

Haha pro lace hybride 👌 save knees and hips 😉
No speedskin on the inside edge of the pads? Sweet.
Is speedskin better than normal leather?
Speedskin is great 10% of the time. Terrible de last 90
Where are you playing this upcoming season?!
Still unsigned
@KasimirKaskisuoOfficial hope you get signed soon. Good luck
9:44 Nobody should be using the BUNGIES😳😱😢😭
The belong in the trash

@@tommywd40 the opposite, they pull and twist the toes up constantly when in butterfly, when having slack on skate lace keeps the foot free

Pretty wild to be hating on bungee's when there it's already been proven that both work fine
