- Ukraine is in need of more troops, and discussions are underway about changes to the way soldiers are mobilized. A new draft bill would increase penalties for people who dodge the draft - and make more citizens eligible for conscription. One source that has so far remained largely untapped is women.
Around 42,000 women are currently estimated to be serving in the Ukrainian army - an increase of 40% in 2021- the year before Russia's full-scale invasion. At least 5,000 of those are reported to have been deployed at the front.
Currently, women cannot be conscripted and have to actively enlist if they wish to serve. New training camps are offering women opportunities to prepare for combat roles.

UKR is winning, but that does not mean it is fun and/or perfect. There is a Maths to war, the US attacks w/ 3x force of the defender at min. RUS has done serious damage, but the failure to take Kyiv and the numbers for losses show they are not winning, so they switched to a war of attrition (std RUS) b/c they have bodies to waste.
If RUS is allowed to win in UKR, then we have done appeasement, which does not work. Soon after they will have another grievance and try the same tactic, violence until appeasement. Try this, all their loss ~300,000 kia plus 1,000,000 who fled v. taking UKR 44,000,000 - 100,000 kia and 4,000,000 fled; RUS would still be +40,000,000 and that is just people, not incl land, resources, access to warm water ports. Do Calculus.

I survived (grievously injured) a combat deployment, and the truth is that it doesn’t suit anybody. Moreover, psychological wounds don’t heal like physical ones often do. It’s a battle every day for the rest of your life.
While it doesn't "suit" anybody, someone still has to do it when non-combatants live just a few miles away.

People are evacuated both by Ukrainians and Russians which is why the death toll among civilians is so low compared to other recent wars like in Iraq or what goes on in Palestine right now. In fact, both sides sometimes have to resort to evacuating people by force because they refuse to leave

2) - Most of Urkaine's men have left Ukraine for good, since their lives worth living instead of dying for Kiev regime, which doesn't care about them and their future.
3) - The group of nationalistic Ukrainian men have been killed in the conflict in first months of war.

What is often said, is that russia is suffering way worse casualties.. and that could be true, if we compare documented vehicle/weapon(APC, plane, Tank, etc) loss between both sides.

Unfortunately, this field of battle is governed more by artillery and it does not matter if you are the best soldier or a novice, if one of those projectiles hits you, you are finished and it was said that 80% of deaths were caused by artillery and missiles, currently command fronting civilians is just sending them to certain death. It is unfortunate that Zelenski has not already surrendered in a war that he cannot win, at least this way he could avoid more unnecessary deaths.

I know and knew people like this Anna. They usually cave in during basic training. There are other ways to do your part than fighting. I hope she finds hers. It is dangerous to believe what you see on social media and think military, police or else is all fun and purpose. Think before you sign and maybe not only put your life on the line or the life of others because you might not make the cut.

I still don't know what Ukraine would have achieved by joining NATO but I knew for sure it will lose a lot by trying to join NATO.

how can ukraine be a sovereign country if it is not allowed to determine it's own future? thats slavery. At least by fighting back there's a chance for freedom in the future. Is there still a winning chance? Because if there isn't, then the focus needs to be to reduce both human lives lost and land lost. Being in denial is very costly.

It is over estimation. There are 42k women in army of Ukraine and majority of them have an easy and save specialization. The big factor on demografics of Ukraine is actual occupation of territories and kidnapping by russians. We all must fight

But even if Ukraine mobilise all men's from prisons it will be less than Russia could involve as volotntiers (even only 1 out 10 will agree). Second. If Russia didn't leaved Kherson there will be what Ukraine now have in Krinky, but in larger scale.

It's war and confusion is part of the strategy but if you see the clear picture Putin is the one who wants to control Ukraine and take away rights of a free Ukraine. In the Second World War, the Finnish army had just over 500 000 men fighting against 1.5 million Soviet soldiers. Finland's population at that time was less than 4 million! Ukraine's current population is ten times that. Today, Finland has a population of just over 5 million and a total army strength of over 800 000 soldiers.- Then there is this: the sons and daughters of the rich have a duty to defend their country. I think the real question that needs to be asked is that if the front collapses is NATO cohesive enough to go in an occupy the western half of Ukraine. Because right now what we have seen is that NATO isn't cohesive or dynamic enough to handle proxy wars.
