Loved this one. Usually the aim seems to be to apply the leaf to as smooth a surface as possible....but doing the complete opposite is actually wonderful. Very cool and very inspiring. You've got me thinking!!! Thank you again. I'm going to be disappointed when we reach Christmas Eve and there's no more daily inspiration!!!

Glad you have been enjoying these. Been a lot of fun making all of these and trying to think of lots of different things. 😁 I do like this one turned out better than I hoped.

Oh wow that turned out so beautiful. I love how you added the black which really made him pop and how beautifully you laid all the strands.

When I was little (decades ago), we did the straw boxes in school. We picked the real straw, slit it, soaked it, pressed it, cut it with a razor blade in cork (probably not allowed in school any longer but we all survived) and then glued it in patterns to a box (cannot remember which glue). We then shellaqued them. I know we had a ball doing this. Much more fun than maths.

Properly festive Ruth. Did find myself humming the tune to vision on at one point but that's an age thing

I thought it was done the second I saw it without gilding the front part. Letting part of the original material show is perfect.
