I wanted to check the comments to see how many people were amazed by this tutorial, then I only saw 5 reactions😯 This is such a good video man! Even though its only 1 day old this deserves thousands of views
Hey man, just wanted to say that i really think youre doing great work here. Theres tons of vfx videos for premire and more expensive software, but i, and many others, want to learn with software thats already available to us. So just thanks so much, and keep up the great work!
Not a problem man! That's what filmmaking is all about! This channels purpose will always be to focus on the tools you have and make the best art possible!
This was excellent. I'm looking to make my first short film soon and was looking into a workflow that could help me. Thank you! This was the best video to get my head wrapped around the entire process I would need to go through to make my idea look professional. Also, spending 4 years now modeling, texturing, UV unwrapping, and rigging monster for games; I loved when you laughed about explaining more in detail on the process of actually making a monster 1:27 lmao I think of myself struggling all those years ago to make awesome models, rigs, and textures.
by far the most dynamic and fun video I've seen about the vfx process, but as a newbie I have a problem, when rendering from blender not only the model and its animation are rendered, but the video used for reference is also rendered, Even after activating the "transparency" box, any ideas or tutorials explaining how to solve this?
Yep that would be a smarter method. Not going to lie, I was super impressed with fusions Luma Keyer for those fine edges. I am also making a tutorial on fusion keyers! Will be out soon.

good stuff!
Legend!
great video!
Very nice
the video is very good, I only got lost in the process at minute 4:12 because I don't know how monster_layer came about
same! Plus the monster footage is gone if I do the steps ahead with alpha divide and the multiply
I am the 1.1k , never ever have I felt such power
Very nice job. I thought you put a green board behind the actor, to save you from masking a bit. 😄
