Yeah evee has come a very long way in the past couple years, it’s really starting to rival cycles in its rendering abilities. Hopefully someday it’ll be on cycles level completely and still run in real time!

It’s always a good day when you see that Blankface has posted another video, now I just have to build up the confidence (and ability to animate) to actually make something of my own, I also loved the making of the staircase because it was perfect and simple so it’d be simply perfect. These videos are huge for your channel. For another idea along these same lines you could do a Backrooms video. Really simple inside Blender and since everything is so square it’s a perfect starting point for beginners.

Thanks so much! And nope the thumbnail is not A.I, I just made a separate render for the thumbnail so it looked nicer! I did the same thing for my last tutorials thumbnail. The blender file for it is actually over on my patreon, not trying to push you to go sign up for that but just to say there is proof that this is a legitimate image that I made.

hey! very cool video, i have a question tho. Where did you get the effect at 1:02? the camera slowly stopping the signal. Is it built-in DaVinci? (if so, is there any way to export DaVinci effects to import them into Premiere Pro?)
So I didn’t actually connect my railing, I duplicated the bars and mirrored them to the other stairs, but the railing is all one piece. I just extended it over and pulled up along the next staircase. I didn’t duplicate that part it’s still the same object.
This is such an amazing tutorial but somehow, when i try to do the anomalies stuff at 9:45 i can only render one animation. When i try to render another different one in the same scene it gets overritten so i always have 1 render animation. How can i make I can make multiple animations in the same scene?

Great question! I just looked up on RUclips “VHS” startup, and used that footage for those additional parts. I found a segment where you get those error color bars, and then typed over top of it in davinci “video failure” Hope this helps :)

For the door closing, I actually just recorded my dorm room door shutting. And then all of the other effects are from the RUclips audio library, which is free!
Make sure you unplug your nodes set up from the “viewer” node and back into the “composite” node. I did that a few times where I left in in the viewer and couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t show in the final. Viewer is just for the preview, but it won’t carry over to the final render. Hope this helps! :)
What are the render times for making something like this? Love the idea of animating in Blender but when i hear people rendering for days or weeks im put off 😅
Great question! So Blender has two different "render engines", Cycles, and Evee. Those render times you're hearing about that take days/weeks were probably from people using the Cycles engine. I use Evee, and it renders insanely faster. Evee also will render your scene in real time, where as cycles will give you a very grainy image and take minutes to load every time. People use cycles though because it's technically of a higher quality, and can produce more traditional and realistic results. However Evee's been around for a while now, and in my own personal opinion it's almost completely caught up to cycles, and is definitely the render engine I would recommend to people, especially beginners. So don't let render times discourage you! It may still take a few hours, but not days if you use evee. Hope this helps! :)
hey man i got a question how when do u always ger a perfect UV scaling to be 1 to 1 and scaled properally cause mine are all stretchedd out everytime i add a texture to a added object. thanksss!!!!!!
Thanks for the subscribe, and great question! First, it’s always a good idea to apply your objects transforms before adding textures. To do that just select your object and press “ctrl+a” and select all transforms. Then once you apply your material/texture, you can go into your shader editor and press “ctrl+t” (make sure you have the node wrangler addon enabled in preferences) and that will add a texture coordinate you can use to alternate the dimensions of your texture to better fit your object. Hope this helps!!

@@Hitornex That is strange, I actually have another person I've been talking to experiencing evee issues like you are. I'm not really quite sure what the problem is though, me and him have compared our settings and they're the same. This might require some further digging
That may be something you’d want to look up for yourself, as I don’t know much about unity or game engines. I’m sure there is a library that’s made for unity you can find. I also quickly looked up and saw that Quixel Bridge is compatible with it, and that’s a great asset and texture library that I sue all the time. So give that one a shot! :)

If you are using cycles prob best to render as image sequence so if you crash or run out of memory you don't corrupt all of your render!

Yes that effect is included in davinci! I believe it’s called the “Block Glitch”, under video transitions :)

Are the enviorments in all 1 blender file or are you using multiple files?

That may be something you’d want to look up for yourself, as I don’t know much about unity or game engines. I’m sure there is a library that’s made for unity you can find.
