    How has this channel only got 1.6k subs?
    It's rare to have such clear, concise, useful and fascinating content.
    Thanks, I'm excited to watch the next in the series. had no idea that Fusion was so powerful.

      Haha. Actually I only had 378 subs until last week. Got a boost when Alex mentioned Avalon in one his videos. Two weeks ago I was actually thinking of quitting YT. I was spend 15 hours producing each video and getting less than 10 views.

      @@GargoylesAtWork Hope you continue because you have an immense amount of expertise to offer, and it's always delivered excellently.
      I'm not sure the title of the channel is helping though.

      I dont think channel titles really help or hurt. I dont think it would make a difference if the channel was called Saad Shah. Or pewdipie for that matter.
      Either way, I think the best approach is to try to put quality into the content and see if it takes off. We will see :)

      Hey Chenchen, glad you liked it. Try experimenting with particles in Fusion and share what you come up with.
      These particle tutorials are not standalone effects tutorials; I made this a series of 23 parts that covers particle effects from absolute beginner all the way to advanced film effects. So stay tuned as the next parts are uploaded. Each lesson will build on the previous one slowly and all nodes are explained in detail.
      By the way, nice macro photography! Maybe I can borrow some shots from you to use for educational purposes.

    Hey mate! awesome video, very clear and easy to follow.
    I was wondering if you could help me with a specific effect. I'm looking to generate a particle implosion sort of, basically have all the particles be sucked into the centre of the emitter when they spawn and then disappear.

    • @GargoylesAtWork
      @GargoylesAtWork  4 года назад +2

      Simply use a particle image emitter, explode particles from it. Play it in reverse.

    • @CplBanana
      @CplBanana 4 года назад +1

      Thanks so much forr the fast reply! You're a legend. I've figured that out and gotten a nice explosion going the way I want it. But I just can't seem to figure out where to reverse it 😅

    • @GargoylesAtWork
      @GargoylesAtWork  4 года назад +1

      You can play the clip in reverse on the edit page and render it out

    Dragging the pEmitter doesn't work it just vanishes when I let it go so I can't get past 1:50.

    • @GargoylesAtWork
      @GargoylesAtWork  4 года назад

      Can you create any other nodes?

    • @thebeststooge
      @thebeststooge 4 года назад +1

      Not doing it the way you say. Seems I must have something (a clip) in my media and it creates a node then it works.

    • @GargoylesAtWork
      @GargoylesAtWork  4 года назад

      That's correct. You cant use Fusion unless you create a clip first.

    • @thebeststooge
      @thebeststooge 4 года назад +1

      Well, I didn't see that in the video so was lost. I got up to your 3d point and 2d and dragging the way you did it will not connect so I have to tell it 2d via the drop down then I can connect them but then it get weird looking and not like your view at all.

    • @GargoylesAtWork
      @GargoylesAtWork  4 года назад

      Hmm, that's odd. I dont remember doing anything fancy in this video. Simple 2D particles

  • @ooklaa1
    @ooklaa1 4 года назад +1

    so yea right off the bat, im clicking on the particle emitter, dragging and dropping, doing the shift space and nothing is showing up on the fusion page. is their a step before that is missing? Do i need to create a fusion composition first in the edit page?

    • @GargoylesAtWork
      @GargoylesAtWork  4 года назад +1

      Yes, create a fusion comp first in the Edit page.
