I hear stories like this everyday and the boyfriend is usually the one who did it. The thing I don’t understand is why women fall for men who have no soul, and they say we are in love. Just a sad story to begin with, and hope this case gets solved.
Some narcissists play off as completely charming (goes both ways, men and women do this) They do something called #lovebombing where they shower you with love and attention and you feel truly loved, so when things move sour you cling to that initial you felt at first. It's a narcissists trap. They're very manipulative. Even friends and family might not see it til it's too late
They also need to trust their gut. Bad people with bad intentions will give off bad vibes you can pick up on. A bad gut feeling is a warning from Christ.
Anyone who goes missing after arguing with their loved one, isn’t missing by choice. The boyfriend knows. People should fund organizations dedicated to solving cold cases and finding missing people. The money can be used to hire good detectives. Some cases go unsolved because the police depts are corrupt, under resourced or just incompetent.
Isn't that what the Gabby foundation help with? I thought her dad said they made this to help other victims get out and get the money for searches of other missing ppl?

Yes, definitely not a good idea to go on a hike drunk, without water or a phone. It's possible that she got lost and died from dehydration. I wonder how thoroughly they've searched the area with sniffer dogs where's she was seen last back then. Either she died from dehydration, or it was fowl play.

It's most likely foul play by the bf. This girl did not wander off in a drunken stuper into the desert to die. Where did she want to take the car? If she went walking her goal would have been to go to the same place, yet this place is really beyond ample walking distance to anything. The story given by the bf is not logical, and it's usually the spouse thats guilty especially when it's known they fought prior to the disappearance. It's actually quite common for a bf or spouse to admit they fought with the person before they disappeared by foul play. It's like they think it will trick the police into thinking she just ran away, history proves that's rarely the case.
I was in that area in 2016 working on the levee system at Salton Sea. I’m REALLY bad about paying attention to my surroundings but the area near Joshua Tree State Park affected me. The few times we ventured away from our work site I made sure we all stuck together. My thoughts are with Lauren.

I live relatively close to this area, and have hiked all over SoCal deserts. People go missing every year in our deserts. People are found dead every year as well. Probably less than 2% of these cases are criminal in nature. The rest are due to carelessness, being unprepared for the heat or the hikes, injuries, falls, and even suicides.

Around California there are compounds that offer usually camping gathering places, some have cabins or trailers for higher prices. Each has one more permanent structure where the caretakers live. When I lived in Northern California my friend took me to one for a long weekend, the site included firewood, 3 big pot hottubs(looked like big cannibal pots) and the caretakers partied with the campers. It was clothing optional, there were kids running about, but by dark the first night I hit my tent and stayed in their all night. Hollleeeey drug influenced madness reined all night, loudly. Only thing I approved of was this group always brought (paid their entrance fee) 2 paramedics to their weekends. They were busy. So no one lived in these various compounds except the caretakers, but groups rented them, not individuals. I chose never to go to another event, for me it was like being at work in the ER except I stayed apart from the madness. Shudders. Yep this entire group headed to burning man every year.

Never go on a trip with your creepy boyfriend.
I hear stories like this everyday and the boyfriend is usually the one who did it. The thing I don’t understand is why women fall for men who have no soul, and they say we are in love. Just a sad story to begin with, and hope this case gets solved.
Some narcissists play off as completely charming (goes both ways, men and women do this)
They do something called #lovebombing where they shower you with love and attention and you feel truly loved, so when things move sour you cling to that initial you felt at first. It's a narcissists trap. They're very manipulative. Even friends and family might not see it til it's too late
Thank you for explaining...its so real. You're like, where did my nice guy go that used to love me!?🤷♀️🤷♀️
Most males don’t have souls.
They also need to trust their gut. Bad people with bad intentions will give off bad vibes you can pick up on. A bad gut feeling is a warning from Christ.
She should've dated a soft boi
Why is the housekeeper the spokesperson for this 'compound?' Shouldn't the owner be talking to the police and media?
Anyone who goes missing after arguing with their loved one, isn’t missing by choice. The boyfriend knows. People should fund organizations dedicated to solving cold cases and finding missing people. The money can be used to hire good detectives. Some cases go unsolved because the police depts are corrupt, under resourced or just incompetent.

I agree that the circumstances beg further investigation and they are suspicious.. however, we can assume that the police who have ALL of the facts and are not playing RUclips detectives in the comments section have looked at the boyfriend. If there was evidence of wrongdoing, don't you think they would have acted? Your making this into a man vs woman thing by saying we can't let all these men get away with killing their gfs.
