Always great Knowledge given-out to the masses Candice😊 like you talkin' about the roots being managed, so the Top of the tree can ramify..details like that are super helpful to ppl 👏🏽 Anyways.. have a good evening Candice!
Candice, Just an FYI. You have an awesome online nursery in Wisconsin. Chief River nursery. I’ve had great experiences ordering hard to source bare root stock in small quantities. They also sell variety packages of assorted species. 🥇👍🏻
Can’t wait to see you bring them along! If you want any pictures of what they looked like before separating to put in your videos when you work them just let me know!
Not looking to make money just give a good home to some trees 🤣. Sometimes they feel like little pets lol!! I am very lucky to have stumbled upon this apl for sure!
Lol then you’ll have to rehome the larches 🤣. Also make sure you go to southern east coast Florida! They even get to keep their fish tanks outside year round lol. One of the weirder things I see commonly is they also keep their washing and drying machines outside under an overhang.
@@Candice.BonsaiScience If you are okay with it, I will send you something completely out of the box. They grow for me and flower in the dead of winter. When it gets warmer if you would like to try a Sarcocaulon Vanderietiae, let me know. It does have a trunk and thorns.
Welcome to the club. I do the same. I put stuff away so I do not lose them and sure enough I forgot where the spot was. Don't feel bad. Today being Groundhog Day, he seen his shadow so 6 more weeks of winter and low temp's.
Great timing Candice -asking myself exactly this question every day, when checking my trees. As most of them are outside, they are still dormant. After repotting- does unexpected heavy frost harm the roots? Is it good practice to protect them? I know, some buds and maybe branches might not survive late frost. Because I didn’t knew about a repotting season in general, up to last year, I did this, whenever it felt right for me. So it will be my 1st real repotting season and I’m quite curious, how it will be… Kind regards from Austria, Martina
I am loving the root work, Lady! And great information as well! Thank you for that. My little Chinese elm has started budding out a bit early as well. Arctic entryway got a little warm…I’m curious about the after care though. Are yours going back into the cold room? Or into a warmer area, under some lights?
Please watch your mail. Just sent you the Sarcocaulon vanderietiae with this warm weather coming in. I put in a heat pack to make sure it does not freeze. If not good when arrives, then in spring I will try again. Something different for you to try in your collection.
When should I repot my Jaboticaba? We winter in Florida and summer in Wisconsin and it travels with me. I pruned first week in January and has rebounded well. Love your videos.
Nice to see some repotting!!! Maybe spring is on it's way!!
We know it always comes . . . but I dislike having 6 months of winter and the groundhog always lies 🤣
Glad to see you have started the repotting season! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you for dropping in Bobcat!
Nice auction tree Candice. I could definitely use one like that in my collection.
You should see it now! Just 2 weeks later! I should do a shorts update today on it on my way to bed.

English is definitely sometimes a second language for me 🤣
Buds are poppin’ ! I love the chunky little airlayered one! 😍🐦💙
Go to 4:23 🤣
Omg. That’s what I get for multitasking! How did I miss that!?! So funny! I might go 100% PA if I retire to Florida! 😂🤣🐦💙

YES! I’d be delighted to work with one and I don’t have any of those yet.
@@Candice.BonsaiScience Once it gets warmer. They would die in this cold even with a warming pack. I will let you know when I send it.
So excited! Off to research

Yes definitely protect them by shuffling inside during spring frosts or definitely covering them depending on the temps!
Someone will be getting a nice tree Candice. Can you link to where you get your APL mix from? Love your channel.
Yes- it’s the .99 cent bonsai auction Facebook group. I’ll find the seller name later today and get it to you!

I’ll do an ‘shorts’ vid update probably Wednesday. But they go to a south facing window and get turned every time I water.
