HOLY CRAP, that trumpet at the end is AMAZING, i cant believe he can hit a note that high WOW, its Very hard to hit a note that high, thats insane, good job!
Being a trumpet player, any normal musician in high school who plays the instrument probably will listen to the solo thinking, "oh, yeah I could most likely do everything up to that double f halfway through the chorus." Then they go and try it, (like me) and it Kicks. Their. Ass. This is something many people dont understand about Lucky Chops. Yes, they have range dynamics groove. Whatever. What these guys have, (and they have a hell of a lot of it) is Control. That is where they get their sound.
Yes. There's a difference between being able to play high, and play high GOOD. And range isn't even the whole story. It's just a minuscule part. That said, that screaming was BANGING.
Owen Reazor what is talent for you? I don't think that things like these are carried by genes, only by interest and effort can someone be good in any instrument. That trumpet player though!!! I play the trumpet and I can't even play a simple G and A high note without getting exhausted, and now I look at him playing higher than any sound I have ever heard or made! Props to him, I can understand why he was so red!👏👏👍👍👍 Loved it!!!❤️❤️❤️

+The Musical Gamer Funny. My brother says it's a G. He(my brother) has a decent range and that note is right above his range. I hope you're referring to the highest note hit.
Well I think, when you play such full notes, that means your lips vibrate so good and maybe he after all feels perfectly well, in control. Trumpet gives beautiful bodily sensations sometimes!
Damn, the trumpet player was a little "shy" at first, but then he caught me by surprise! It's unusual to see a good note-bending among trumpet players but he does it so well!
I'm a student-teacher (elementary music) and I showed this to my Grade 3's for the Brass section in our Orchestral Unit. We did a class just on the saxophones and why they are actually woodwinds but are the transition voice between the two families. So I showed this video to outline how the saxophones get incorporated with brass ensembles. Both classes started singing along with the video and have been asking me to play this for them again every time I see them. Great job, boys! Always loved your music and it's great that I can share it with the next generation (without the hip thrusting haha) -Cheers! P.S. They also learned about the sousaphone (and can now tell which one he is when shown both the sousaphone and the tuba) They love him!
2:51 that sound! I wonder what it was. Nice sound though, props to the trumpet player. I like the beginning where the baritone sax had the solo. Great job guys!
I have listened to many of their songs now and this is BY FAR my favorite to date. Leo P is such an entertainer and showman, but in this song he did everything perfect in support of the band.

Plus when he goes up high, he has that classic brassy note bend (3:03 - 3:04) that you heard from Maynard Ferguson and Wayne Bergeron. Fantastic! +Tycho Nielson I agree about the difficulty of the music. I wasn't trying to take anything away from the virtuosity of either. My comment is more in regards to the style of music..... This being arranged and clean versus the free improvisation in Zooz.
+theBarzeen Im such a big fan of Leo P. He is soo good muscician.. In too many zooz you can see his skills of improvisation but in lucky chops band u can see how he can easily adapt to pop music. And whats interesting he plays in such different styles of music because he said I want to show people that brass instruments are cool.
Substitoad if you dont think thats high... 1. you either have never played a trumpet. or 2. you play a woodwind instrument. In case 1 pick one up and tell me what you get. In case 2 the equivilant notes (in terms of effort/skill) for a woodwind is a Bb (clarinet) or C (flute) on the 8th ledger line above the staff. The highest note ever hit by a trumpet player is around a 10th ledger line E. (an F for flute). And generally this player for lucky chops is in the extreme range with that Bb. Most finger charts stop at High F due to the creaters not thinking that anyone would be able to hit that high lol. But overall that is generally the range of most big band and hbcu type bands. And in fact professionally high.
you guys are awesome. I've been a fan of Leo and Too Many Zoos for a long time. I got to see you guys when you performed here in Virginia. You have a life long fan. Keep up the good work!
This song (even this version makes me cry (almost EVERY time... and I'm a 47yr. old (straight) man. Much Blessings & Joy in this Christmas Season and NEW YEAR!!!! I love you guys... seriously.
I play trombone and French horn in my middle school band, and I played trombone in a little mini ensemble featuring some of our best players, and we played this song. I loved it. No, we did not have a trumpet that could play that high, so we had a clarinet do it.
That trumpet solo was amazing

And whats interesting he plays in such different styles of music because he said I want to show people that brass instruments are cool.
Got goosebumps when you all came together. So stunning.
Trumpet, the best! 🎼🎶🎺
*Starts vid then looks through comments*
Comment: "Wow how can that trumpet hit that high?"
Me:"I hear no trumpet"
*3/4 throughout song*
HOLY SHIT
Biggie Smalls yeah you can here hi. At beginning and while the trombone is playing then his solo lol and he's playing in the double g range
Ethan Lituchy that's not high nor hard, not discrediting just saying the truth
Biggie Smalls I mean if you want to hear trumpets scream go check out hbcu bands
Substitoad you probably can't even get a sound out of that trumpet but alright just say its not difficult
I come back to this every night before I head to sleep! 🎼🎵
I've played trumpet for about 2 months and their trumpeter is very inspiring.
you guys are awesome. I've been a fan of Leo and Too Many Zoos for a long time. I got to see you guys when you performed here in Virginia. You have a life long fan. Keep up the good work!
WHAT A TALENT.
This deserves more subs!
Esse trompete tá mais afinado q faca de acogueiro! ♥️
なんだこれは💦こういうバンドっていいよね〜✨憧れです。
I wish that one day I stumble across them playing and join in with my clarinet like a boss...
This song (even this version makes me cry (almost EVERY time... and I'm a 47yr. old (straight) man. I am a pianist and just "discovered" what a great piano song this is and now I will always play it with this background music when I rehearse it (instead of w/the original ~ or any other ~ version). Now, that's incredible, because there is nothing like playing this song alongside Adele, but alongside you guys, it's just another region in the Cosmic Universe!!! Much Blessings & Joy in this Christmas Season and NEW YEAR!!!! I love you guys... seriously.
damn that trumpet player has mad skills
The bari part at 1:26 gives me chills every time. Beautiful work, beautiful music, stunning outfits, I think I've found true happiness :)

Welcome to lucky chops
Have you heard lucky chops version of Danza?
I play trombone and French horn in my middle school band, and I played trombone in a little mini ensemble featuring some of our best players, and we played this song. I loved it. No, we did not have a trumpet that could play that high, so we had a clarinet do it.
