  • My friends and I are building a tiny house for my mom at record speeds! During the first 7 days, we covered foundation, house wrap, framing, siding, windows and doors. The video for that portion can be found here: • Building a Tiny House ...
Thank you TINY WOOD STOVES for providing the wood stove for this build! www.tinywoodstove.com
During days 8, 9 and 10, we added the steel roofing, soffit, caulked and primed the building for paint, graded the front yard, wired for solar power, installed insulation, hung drywall and began the mudding and taping process.

lol, that guy did that insulation better than I've ever seen even the professionals do on youtube. I would recommend Rockwool insulation for any other builds. It's pretty impervious to fire and moisture, breaks up noise and has higher Rvalue, easier to work with. I really love it!

I couldn't remember whether the donkey and the inspector came before the tree falling or wondered when the chicken and the eggs were going to come along. My jaw totally dropped when I saw how close that tree fell towards the house. I just said: oh nooooooo. Whew that was too close. Then I went and looked down at the next blog from Prmus101 and totally lost it laughing for about 15 minutes. UNREAL ... you two (plus a couple of other friends) did such a GREAT JOB looks so nice. God bless.

I started watching the first video out of curiosity, and here I amwatching the second and cheering for you, I was amazed how you girls, -and dudes- made it, but above all the good spirit and playfullness all the way! if this would have been a bunch of guys, half the video would have to be "bleep" !
I loved what you did, but your attitude, and your willingness to give credit to friends who helped you and to you Mom that taught you so wisely. your video is not about construction, but about isnpiration!

Watching you struggling with the stove reminded me of something. Worked construction for some years a while back. One of the first things built after the walls were chalk-snapped was to make sturdy, temporary stairs where needed to access the build. Easy to do and worth the effort to save on strained muscles or worse. Take care!

It looks like the topsoil in your area is fairly easy to work with but one tip. When using your tractor to scrape anything on the ground try to keep the bucket as flat as possible. When the bucket is at an angle like you had it can catch and then either break the cylinders or the arms resulting in costly repairs and downtime. Hope you see this and keep up the good work.
