The way Angel is juggling this child, feeding him, entertaining him with iPhone videos, making sure he doesn't fall off the chair and crack his skull, AND doing the MAFS recap at the same time is multitasking with infinity stones 😂
No disrespect bc I guess what works for them works for them, but it irks my soul that Angel is ALWAYS the only one that handles and entertains him. If Amar is going to be there, it should be equally handled. Just my opinion.
@@ladykray4eva I don't know if you have children, but as a mother of two who nursed it makes sense that she always have him. Not to mention it's their business and they can operate how they choose.
I absolutely loooove the discourse surrounding Chris & the confrontation. We all feel differently as demonstrated between all of us & the comments. I think it’s healthy & needed!
I dont watch this show so my opinion could be completely invalid but although the white women dont know all of the trash stuff Chris has been doing, they can see the affect that it has on Paige, and obviously that wouldn't sit well with anyone so they spoke up anyway they knew how. I dont think it's fair to call them Karen's or whatever for calling out a trash man, regardless if that man was white or black. My thing is, all these episodes they've been calling Chris trash but the moment somebody on the show decides to call him it, because they're white it's a problem. Again I'm going based off of these comments and their reacounts of the show, so again my opinion could be completely invalid.
I'm with you mrs.kev because most women will say what Virginia and claire said. It was nothing they said that was wrong or invasive. Normal feelings imo.
If a Black person has a problem with White people talking about his/her marriage, then MAFS is not the show for them. The cast is always mostly White, and the show always wants the couples to talk about their marriages with each other. The only way to avoid that is not to sign up in the first place.
I also hate the way that Chris postured at Virginia as if he was gonna hit her. I can tell it isn't beneath him to put his hands on a woman if he's pushed
My issue with Paige is, the second Chris mentions God's presence in their relationship, she's smiling from ear to ear. SIS! And I feel like Haley really jumped into this thing too fast. She should’ve transitioned from single hood, to maybe online dating, then the show.
Unfortunately Paige is Representative of women in the black church. Growing up in the church, we saw deacons, pastor’s and ministers cheating on their wives and having babies outside their marriages, but those wives stayed loyal because they said vows and their husbands was a “Man of God”. Paige is pissing me off because she deserves so much better than Chris, but she’s just sitting there and allowing him to use God to cover up his BS and once he says God and talks about their relationship, she melts.
@@anotherjenny6103 I honestly feel like we are much better served as a community if we can have open dialogue and really trust/help/love on each other when its needed and just because. We so often shy away from really getting to the meat of a lot of issues/openly allowing issues to persist because "it's not my problem" or we "don't want to be involved". It feels like a lack of true community to just, leave people hanging and assuming that they're going to ask for help and in that time only, do we help. It really doesn't sit right with me. And I get it, it may be perceived as bringing someone else's drama into your home, but I'd sleep better knowing I did all that I could. I wouldn't sleep well wondering what I could have done.
Virginia and Clara may be annoying, however everyone can smell that production sponsored pow wow a mile away, right down to how their husbands were conveniently elsewhere. Chris' reaction was NOT a proportionate response - that was him venting his anger from their lack of concern FOR HIM. Dude is a clown - and not a funny one.
Oh no, Chris is definitely a funny clown, but he's pathetic! I feel like if they really cared about Paige, they would have spoken to her! They wanted to put him in his place and that ish backfired tremendously.
I love y’all but I definitely disagree. I’m not one to be on the side of white woman but literally no one has been outwardly advocating for Paige (on screen). Yes they comfort her but no one is calling Chris out in real time. Also I feel like The black people mind their business trope is kinda tired. Like if you see something is wrong... why stay silent?
I don’t think Virginia nor Clara were out of place. NO ONE else was stepping up to advocate for Paige, not even herself or Briana. Narcissistic men hate to be challenged and called out especially in the presence of the one they abuse. Their image being tainted triggers them, even when they are exactly how they are being painted. So they make it ALL about the confrontation, “how” and “when” you said it. Regardless of the truths being told, the approach becomes the storyline. Hence the reason why he gave that BS apology at dinner. And then he gets to be the great guy that sees his wrong, and wants to “do better”. Textbook traits of a man like Chris. Now that he’s “apologized”, no one else will feel like they have the place to correct him and Paige will be ostracized. Ugh I could go on and on lol but the call out was necessary. Regardless of who said it, it needed to be said! I don’t care if it was Karen or Keisha and that’s on #MaryHadALittleLamb
YES YES YES! And to me, he didn’t even apologize, he basically was justifying his actions. PLUS Angels point was good but let’s not forget, Chris said he never discussed anything with Paige bc she never asked him about it at the end of the episode
@@ladybenin.2762 Exactly, made it all about him and his image. You can’t talk to me but you’re texting your baby mama everyday and y’all discussing a whole life plan for y’all baby AND possibly getting back together??? But puts it back on Paige that’s she wasn’t the one bringing up the situation. Boy bye.
From what has been shown, Paige has not asked them to advocate for her, she hasn’t complained and is not helpless. She’s a grown woman choosing to stay in the situation. How did Virginia ask whether the baby was his before her and tell him to go above and beyond? That’s what Paige should have done. Paige needs to set boundaries, have higher standards, hold her man accountable, and advocate for herself in order to have a healthy relationship whether it’s with Chris or not. She can’t rely on others to do this for her. I can see a father, sibling, pastor, stepping in when needed, but not some drunk folks you just met a couple days ago. The approach was wrong and there’s no respectable relationship there. Chris probably would have been more receptive to Vincent’s feedback because the approach would have been more tactful and they’re building a relationship.
Agree with all of us! Even if production told them to confront Chris. There are certain situations where we shouldn’t just be bystanders. Manipulators like Chris need to be called out publicly
@@DrJoPsyD right! Talking bout he want to discuss this and do things in private. Get tf outta here. You publicly humiliated this girl so now publicly deal with it
As black folks we gotta stop with that mind your business stuff when we see women being clearly emotional, verbally or physically abused. How many women are dead/in hiding because folks were minding their business. I'm glad the ladies said something, the experts, producers and men didn't have the balls to say anything. They all see the train wreck but aren't doing anything about it.🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🙄😒😡🤬
This is not exactly the same...you can see a train wreck and you can speak on it but you can’t speak over the person that’s actually in the situation. If Paige ain’t gonna eventually speak up for herself then it’s pointless for anybody to continuously go to bat for her. They keep coming at him, what did they expect? 🤷🏾♀️
@@rhondareid1972 I agree with Jacquelyn. The ladies approaching Chris does not empower Paige to speak up for herself. They should voice their concerns to her and encourage her to stand up for herself and the consequences and dangers of not doing so. I understand where the ladies were coming from, but the approach was not helpful and did not seem genuine or of concern. They started off by judging and criticizing. If you start with that energy it’s more likely to lead to an agreement consequently the person becoming defensive and not listening to you.
Those “Karen’s” Wouldn’t have had a word to say if Paige had stood up for herself in the first place. Paige should have checked Chris not those women. I’m with Melissa-I don’t defend wrong just because you are black. And if that means that you get jumped by the Karens, well don’t be trash juice then. Isolation is an abusers tactic and acting disinterested is how you enable an abuser. As a community we have to unlearn some things.
@@anastasiarenaud2568 I would say Clara is more like a woke Becky. And maybe V is a Becky too. Karens are to the detriment of others using their privilege. Becky has privilege as well but doesn't intentionally use it to hurt others. They just have the privilege of being treated like a protected white woman. However, these woke Becky's have noticed they are being treated respectfully by their partners (which is why they were hurt by Chris the Clown). They wanted to say something to the person hurting a peer, but they were unaware that their Becky defense was useless versus an Ike.
Let’s talk about how he wants half of Paiges wedding money but he tried to play her and say she only makes a quarter of his income?! And he doesn’t want a joint account. Also he doesn’t want a woman who wants him for his money but he wanted paiges money from the wedding??
He was jumping too quick on the wedding money being 50/50 to be a man who is making 4x what Paige, who is a professional with a job that requires a degree, does. Chris does not make 4x than her, he has NOTHING, that is why he was so quick to claim 50% of the wedding money.
Right! Most men would say ‘take that little money and gone get your hair done” even if it’s not a little money and a nice amount most newlywed wives are going to get this for the household anyway. He’s trash! No one that makes a lot of money is going to talking about splitting wedding gifts especially after they’ve already hurt and embarrassed her. He better let her shop through the pain.
THANK YOU! 🙌🙌🙌 Me and you are the only ppl I see on ANY of these comments mentioning that. How you make more, don't want me and asking for my gifts??🤷🏽♀️
@@yeswe_buy_houses1805 just triflin! It’s way too many lies. I’m mad she didn’t say anything in that moment. And I’m mad the show didn’t run a background check on him. I still don’t know what he does for a living.
Y'all. A producer shared that in reality Chris was *much* worse than he's appearing on screen 🤦🏾 if what we're seeing is the cleaned up version of Chris... I can only imagine how much more abusive he was to Paige and if Bri and Vincent were privy to the "real" Chris, I can't help but see them as enablers at this point. I don't want to put that on them, cause who really knows what they knew, but there's always more to the story. The other cast mates could've have very likely seen more concerning behavior than the show portrays. Between that and all the spoilers and conspiracies, this season, better yet Chris, is a HOT MESS.
Lissen, I'm Black and hell IIIII got angry Black man vibes from Chris. He was deadazz wrong! Period!! Annnnnd.... When Virginia was talking to Chris about going above and beyond and he said to her How you know Im not going above and beyond, Virginia clearly said, well it doesn't sound like it based on what SHES been telling us, which is a clear indication that although we may not have seen it on Camera, obviously Paige is talking to the girls a lot more about their situation than what we see. Sorry not sorry, but I did not get Karen vibes from either of them
Those girls knew Paige longer than Chris has, at that point. And they noticed that she's sad, they are friends and comrades in that they are going through this experience together. I think they just wanted her to have a similar experience at least at that stage in the relationship....in that it's so new and they are all in the honeymoon phase together. I'm not mad that they held him accountable, nope not at all and I don't see anything wrong with it!
I have been in situations where I have bonded with other women very quickly. They have become friends and bonded over the experience. I also think Paige has talked to them about the things going on. When they were all with her and clara was crying, Paige never once said anything. You would think she would say” i appreciate your concern, but I am okay ladies. We are fine”. Instead, she sat there looking like she was on the verge of tears until Chris told her to get up.
I don’t think their concern was fake either. I don’t know Paige personally but have true empathy watching her go through this. I can’t imagine being around her experiencing all that in real time... I may have very well said something too… Who knows
I think the concern was genuine. If I was friends with Paige and saw her looking as unhappy as she was, I too would have had words with Chris. I didn’t even think about Virginia and Clara being white until I logged on Twitter and saw everyone calling them a Karen. I mean the MAFS audience is only a couple episodes in and we’ve peeped Chris’s game and proceed to check him every episode. What’s the difference between us and Virginia/Clara?
I thought he was trying to get something on the counter with his feet cuz Angel had his hands. Then I thought he was acting out cuz he was sleepy. But he never went to sleep I guess cuz he's at someone else's home. BTW did anybody see him stuff all those crackers in his mouth within a few seconds??? And stab Marcus, I saw it coming?
@@AJ-gd1ww Amar was at aunt and uncles house ain’t NO sleep happening! I’m just happy he didn’t get into the Sake. He didn’t not one bit that playing cartoons on the big tv for him. He wanted to talk about Chris and Erik too lmao.
@@joannasaadati8810 I feel the same way. What Klara and Virginia said to him did not warrant Chris saying the things he did, he was mad they called him out. He told his business so privacy went out the window. I love Marcus and Angel, but I was side eyeing them that whole time, Marcus saying he would've called the women B's and Angel lowkey seemed ok with it. They spoke up, they didnt curse his Momma or Auntie out, like come on. Nah that aint right, he could've easily walked off. What they said struck a nerve, he knows he's wrong, we all know he's wrong, but it's nobody's business to call him out on it, especially white women. It wouldn't have mattered to me if they were purple, wrong is wrong. Stop co signing mess!!
White women have the ability to walk in a situation, say what they feel, and leave with no repercussion. Black women do the same and are labeled everything but a child of God even though they are right, no one will stand up for them. This is reality. I understand what Marcus is saying and I understand what Liss is saying. Chris is still ABSOLUTELY TRASH! BASURA! and he needs to be checked. Is this an answer? No. I am conflicted but I see both sides. I still hope Paige has some brothers that wear Tims💪🏾 🥾😏.
And another thing. I think the reason why I didn't mind Clare & Virginia calling Chris out is because I believe that he isolates her from any support system to continue his emotional abuse. We saw this when Clare/Virginia goes to Paige & he says, "don't speak to my wife either." In addition, he's on twitter/IG calling out the ONE bridesmaid that semi had Paige's back. He's a whole heap of TRASH.
@mamaj03, he threatened to sue her for defamation for what she’s been saying about him (?) 🙄 I have no idea what she’s said, but it’s hard to believe anything anyone says about him could be worse than his own words and actions!
@@alexaomalley Thanks for providing the details. How is Chris gonna sue anyone for defamation when he shows himself to be a whole arse? The judge & the jury would literally be like "where is the lie?"

Does she keep that same energy? She went hard for Paige during the day, but at dinner she pretty much had nothing to say and let Erik do all the talking for her.
@@habituallylive2333 I think that's due to Erik being the only one able to be receptive of her energy. V hit a wall when trying to reach out and Erik had to step in for a moment, nothing wrong with that. I'm sure she'll keep that energy if anyone (Paige) is open to recieve it in the future.
@@habituallylive2333 Chris was scaring me and I was safe in my house. Obviously he has no problem getting in a woman's face. I think she was just scared.
The longer Paige stays the harder it will be to leave. Clara and the other woman (forgot her name) were the only ones holding him to some sort of account..
I was happy when Virginia was going toe to toe with him. Not gonna lie lol. It wasn’t her place, but looks like Paige nor his family are going tell him like it is
Production got they hands all in this season. I don’t see Clara and Virginia talking to Chris on their own. If they didn’t cause, E and V to be late the first time, they definitely caused it this time. Plus they set them right across from Chis and Paige. That being said, Chris’s behavior on the van ride back was very intentional. He wanted to escalate it and was met with the same energy at dinner and couldn’t handle it.
Also, E wasn’t wrong in what he said. He was defending his wife. Chris was itching for a fight since the paternity question. Also also, Chris don’t get no leeway. He called his ex his “fiancé” in Paige’s face.
Exactly! That's why I don't fault them too much for their behaviour because there is major pot stirring behind the scenes. I'm sure they're trying to make Chris blow up.
Yes that what confused me about their take, like are we going to sit here and not acknowledge that this a produced tv show. Producers are going to do what needs to be done for viewings. Even last season they talked about how clearly these producers sway the conversations especially in group seasons but I guess this time around we’re going to ignore that fact.
Of course the producers interfered to have Virginia and Clara say something but Chris entertained the conversation initially. And then, when he started to feel attacked, that's when he started to get disrespectful and cuss. I think the conversation would have been a lot different if it was just the boys talking. If Chris really cared about privacy he would have left to show the moment he found out about the pregnancy.
I’m with Melissa. I’m not defending a black man for his bad behavior just because he’s black. That’s crazy! I don’t see anything wrong with what Virginia or Eric did. Whatever happened to #protectblackwomen? Does that go out the window just because the protectors are white?? They’re a Karen because they were defending Paige against a man who we can all see is emotionally abusive??
Chris' anger did not match the conversation. He has blown up multiple times .There is a time and place. He could simply not engage in conversations, or ask Paige to speak to them..
That’s true I’m sure the convo initiation was staged- but production doesn’t tell them what to say. If you offend someone, they will naturally go into defense mode.
There are several major points we must not forget when attempting to understand Chris' perspective: 1. He volunteered to share his secret with the group. The only person he had to tell was Paige. 2. Chris has talked to the guys and was willing to talk to the girls until it was clear that they are NOT on his side. He has the right to not talk about it but he talked about it plenty before he decided to explode (something Marcus would never do). 3. Chris answered another question from Virginia even after he said he was done. This is why we can't defend or understand Chris.
I’m honestly shocked at the strong defense of Chris watching this review. What happened to 2 things being true at the same time? Virginia and Clara should have minded their business, but Chris’ behavior regardless was out of line and uncalled for. What MAN speaks to women that way when they have the opportunity to walk away?
If both things are true then let both things be true. Chris was wrong but they were wrong first. Clara even said that Virginia should've stopped talking when she realized Chris was upset. Why is Chris bearing a greater responsibility to walk away?
I was here for Erik setting boundaries with Chris at the table whether they showed up late or not. I can’t agree with any of the Chris defense this recap 😂😂
Respecting boundaries go both ways. Like Chris said , you can’t ask for boundaries when they didn’t respect his request for privacy...that’s probably the only time I’ve agreed w/ Chris this whole time!
And Brianna & Vincent aren’t asking C&P anything because they don’t have to, because they are the couple that C&P have been confiding in. So it’s not the same situation.
@@angelm.7052 Are they really building a relationship though or is it simply misogyny? Bri don't like that fool and they're for sure talking behind his back. And Vinny seems closer with Ryan than anyone. I think it just important for Chris to vent to the point he doesn't feel judged, which is only in front of a man who is physically suitable for him
@@Noquarious I think they all are having private conversations about it but I feel that once someone says respect my privacy you should leave them be and that's what Vincent is doing. Chris came to Vincent to tell him about the situation so when it came up he didn't get defensive. This also shows some level of comfort because he didn't go to Ryan, Eric, or Onion guy. It was also the tone. When Vincent asked it was like "wow man *insert deep sighs*" vs when Vodka asked it was a snarky "you sure it's yours? *insert awkward chuckle*". Also note that Vodka and Eric were not present during the initial awkward conversation. The conversation had moved on then it was Clara that brought it up again to fill them in which wasn't her place. When you look at how Vincent and Ryan are handling (minding their business) vs the Eric, Clara, and Vodka there's a key difference which may be cultural as well.
I saw nothing wrong in what Clara and Virginia did. We screaming protect black women and policing who does it ? No one else is gonna call Chris out so I’m fine with the message and the messengers.
@@udo_na_ifunanya smh mad at women for loving, having insecurities, and/or being life-long victims of abuse. It’s nasty how they do us!!ATP I believe the community is telling bw to leave it alone, go alone, or elsewhere. Bw overall deserve better. Ain’t nothing left here...
Chris was wrong to be aggressive towards those women, Karen's or not. They weren't aggressive towards him and merely asked him about what he already disclosed
Exactly, I would not have played the game after that. Maybe I wouldn't be able to leave due to their 100K exit penalty, but it would be 100% clear to Mr. Inappropriate that this was not going any further, it would be 6 weeks of waiting for divorce day.

OK but Chris can’t tell the group and then say but I want privacy. First off he’s on TV second off he invited them into the conversation about his personal life.
This 'stay out our business', 'they aren't your friends', & rage at the couples expressing their support of Paige is giving me abuser. He wants to isolate Paige & I don't fault Vodka & Clara, who noticed that in 4 days this woman's(who at this point they have known longer than Chris) personality is completely different. Paige acts like a battered woman & the 'mind our business to stop the abuser from acting out' routine doesn't help her. The audience can't be angry with the producers/experts for not putting a stop to it, but then get mad at the yt ladies (who we constantly tell to speak up for people who can't) for saying something. They have more bravery to speak to that narcissist than their own husband's.
I get where Marcus and Angel are coming from BUT I High Key disagree with them. The guys peeped that Chris wasn't a stand up guy from before the marriage. I'm sure they all told their respective wives, also im sure there was a lot of notes compared between them all. I think the white girls really do think they care for Paige and they took the producers bait and went on to "attack" Chris.
Yup. Plus he's asking the guys if they're having sex but no one can speak on his business that he willingly put out there even though production said he didn't have to tell the others.
Clara and Virginia should have declined that conversation. No matter what is asked by whom, anybody has the opinion to decline to answer. Some people haven’t been comfortable enough to answer other cast members’ questions which I think is ok.
Yes at the bachelor party a couple of them seemed to have spotted red flags about him and ever since then have not really been fond of him. So, I'm sure they have mentioned it, esp after he announced the pregnancy news. And the way Jacob reacted to the drama at the table, the oldest of them all, he can spot the BS.
Kinda interesting how the moment someone actually takes up for Paige on the show people are saying mind your own business. So we just lettin folks drown now?
I think it’s because Virginia and the other girl don’t have a relationship with Chris and he never asked for her input. Paige never asked them to step in either. They should address their concerns with Paige, but not expect a man who doesn’t care about them to care about their opinions. It’s not like they’ve known Paige forever. Chris is trash but they overstepped
Claire and Virginia was wrong on the approach, but they experienced happy Paige prior to being married and now they see Paige unhappy on day #4/5. Were they being Karen's or truly had Paige's back?
I don't think the concern is fake too because the first think they said at the diner after the news was we are with Paige and Chris got upset about it then too and went "crying". Plus, Karen are women who wrongly call police on black people. Those women are taking up for a BLACK WOMAN being mistreated not the same at all.
I do think they truly have her back, but like the white girls you would run into at the club that want to be best friends for the night. At the same time, they're the ones to protect (Paige) from going home with a strange dude after a night to be taken advantage of
I disagree. I don’t think this was about Paige at all. That entire moment was about CHRIS and putting him in his place. If this was truly about Paige, they would have spoken to PAIGE first.
@@mrsmars144 I think that's where it's difficult to understand the non-marriage relationships on the show because we aren't shown everything and every conversation
You all should know that production had Viriginia and Clara talk with Chris and he did not have to take it there. This is not a Karen moment. They told Chris that Paige had been talking to them and that’s how they knew their business.
I stopped judging these people since season 8 because there is so much that goes on that the audience doesn't know and once they speak out it all makes sense.
It is reasonable to stand your ground after you told someone to stay out of your business. Chris behavior towards Paige is not acceptable but he has the right to not strangers walk over him.
Chris only needs to give Paige a slight compliment and she smiles and her panties drop! At this point, she's deciding to stay and I don't feel sorry for her anymore. Chris was wrong PERIODT! You are on a reality show to follow your relationship and to get 👏🏾 in 👏🏾 your 👏🏾 business! If you didn't want to talk about it (although production set up the scene) you could have shut it down without acting like a toddler and don't engage. Simple!
PERIOD Sis!!!!! Even if they weren’t minding the business that pays them, that is still not a reason to react the way he did. His behavior was childish. And that’s on marry had a little lamb.
Thank you, I've been seeing those type of comments eveywhere. I kept thinking did we watch the same thing? Kinda like the whole OJ situation. There should be no reason to defend them. I've found zero. It's mind blowing. Its okay to call a spade a spade without making excuse. I'm proud the girls when to speak to him, I woulda done the same thing. When you see someone is obviously not happy and you know the cause its okay to tell him off. The REASON chris is like this is because all the other black folks in his life have been " minding their own business ". Maybe the more he's told he will understand the need to change.
"#Protectblackwomen" unless you're white apparently. White people need to mind their own business is the person hitting the black woman is a black man 🙄
Yes. I don't care what color you are, wrong is wrong. Just because they were white they can't speak on anything and they're "karens"? I don't like that mentality. It's toxic.
Exactly and it’s super frustrating! We can’t just keep giving out passes just because of “blackness”. Any black person would’ve been ready to turn up if another man spoke to their wife like that.. whether they were right or wrong.
Chile "The Slumlord" had me about to sling oil around my house. I was like what the heck is that growling noise. 😂 I took my earbuds out and everything 😂 😂
When he said “I’m spiritually attracted to you” the last piece of nerve I had left went out the window. He went in for the kill with that. This guy 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
So something I thought while watching that dinner scene unfold, is Chris made his pretend apology, then did the man thing 🙄 where he apologised to Ryan for speaking to his wife like that. Eric comes in (not knowing Chris had "apologised") and said, "You're not going to speak to my wife like that (so the same thing HE JUST APOLOGISED FOR)," and Chris got offended (and got up to fight when they clearly said they were leaving). 😒😒😒 Make it make sense. I suppose when he apologised it "redeemed him" as it were, he was in control, and (in his mind) looking like a good dude, but when Eric called him out it was making him look trash again and he wasn't able to continue manipulating the situation in his favour so he fell back on anger and lashing out (a way to regain control in his subconscious).
Regardless of them instigating into the situation which I disagree with. Chris is only going to be enabled more by the situation to abuse Paige. Now he’s going to feel justified cutting her off from anybody who has something negative to say about their situation. It’s just going to further isolate her.
I completely agree! And thinking even further into their future (if she stays) he’s going to break her completely down, she needs real ones to stand up for her because she obviously can’t hold her own.
Like bro should've just sat back and been her back-up, she obviously cared. Unless she is getting hurt, then don't block. If he felt she was veering from him, then he should've compared it to how good he is...Put simply, Ryan doesn't know how to relationship with non-submissive women
Ryan is a very grounded person and Clara is very spur of the moment. If she had given her thoughts serious consideration, she would realize that she needs to mind her matters. She is a newlywed also. Work on getting to know and understand Ryan and yourself.
@@coreysanders5203 I can see that, though I believe even if she did take some time to think about, she still would have done it. She's spur of the moment, but she still speaks her mind. Ryan is passive and maybe calculated, but he could just be afraid of conflict period. For an analogy, she is the boxer and he is her cornerman. If she wants to verbally trade punches, that's cool and as a partner he has to tell her when enough is enough. In my opinion and more importantly, he cannot tell what she can or cannot fight. Who is he to say what is important to her. We all have our fights and sure Clare can be at times too instinctual. Still, he minimize her feelings and restricts her boundaries to his control.
He also forbid to talk about their sex life and lord knows she wants to because he’s outspoken like that and it’s not a problem for her. So he’s already stifling her personality.
@@Noquarious But that’s not Clara’s fight. She’s trying to fight Paige’s battles. Ryan was giving Clara feedback to demonstrate self-control. It’s not appropriate to say what’s on your mind all of the time especially when the matter has nothing to do with you. If Clara continues to do this with men she doesn’t know, who knows how that man may react which could also put Ryan in danger if he steps in protect her. These situations can be avoided by minding her business or at least better phrasing what’s on her mind.
The other couples on the show have a right to speak up. This standing by watching and saying nothing is stupid. I think black people always get triggered for some reason when who’re people speak up and have something to say to us. They have a right to say something. Everyone on this show if they were in their position would not sit back and say nothing. They all will have something to say to Chris. Chris needs to man up and stop being made when people confront him on an issue most people would not handle as well as Paige is.
I agree. This is a humanity issue. Chris is awful, and that should be the end of it. If the other couples won’t stand up for Paige, she has no one else looking out for her!
It’s not just “for some reason.” It is due to generations of white people being able to dictate our lives, first by law and later by the power white people are often given just for existing. I think it was fine (not necessary but fine) for the women to share their concerns for Paige, even pointing out how miserable Paige seems to be. Say that and stop there. Continuing to escalate the conversation with, as Clare noted, an already angry man and insisting that Chris must hear them out is when they crossed the line.
Awesome review as always! Love the at home addition, felt like I was there chatting it up with you all! I agree with what you all said about the other wives overstepping when confronting Chris. As a woman who was married to a man with similar manipulative, controlling and abusive traits, I must say that it took me finding my power to be able to walk away. Thankfully, after doing the work, the kind of “strong block woman” I’ve become is the kind that will divorce your a*s if you on that bullsh*t lol I empathize with Paige and the only reason I feel bad for her is because even though she’s trying to do everything right, she’s not only getting mistreated by her husband, but she’s also being harshly judged... we all know the brainwashing the church has done on black women yet we are judging her for being a victim... the plight of the black woman 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ I hope she has someone close to her affirming her as she relives this trauma.
I agree with Liss, I am not going to defend Chris in his wrong cause we're black. You can tell people to back off without all that to the left behavior, bc I do agree it wasn't their business. They could've talked to Paige alone, but no none of that was warranted behavior. I was also annoyed by Paige apologizing for him on the bus. I don't have anything left for her either, cause she has irked me.
i agree we have to stop with the i didn't like that they were attacking a black man" we need to learn how to separate being black from being wrong. Paige and Chris were the ones told their business. You can't get mad because they have an opinion you don't like and say "mind your business" when you invited them in your business.
When I tell you this is one of the most anticipated reviews in the history of reviews. It felt like everyone was going maddd. And y’all caused it 😂😂 Love you guys though. Already know the review is gonna be fire love the set up btw ❤️❤️🔥
I do too. I’m willing to bet money they stay together until decision day. I can’t say about beyond that but they’ll agree to stay married on decision day🌚
I have no sympathy for Chris at all. At this point I don’t care who checks him. Did I get Karen vibes? Yes. Did I feel bad? No... because it’s Chris. And he’s trash. 🥴
The frustrating thing with Paige is that she is letting her thoughts of a fairytale cloud the truth the reality of the situation. She is using GOD as a blinder and shield not to see the the truth.
@@teniseuna pll take that out of context. No God isn't going to give u more that u can bear but God is going to give u discernment and free will. See Paige is using her free will of wanting a fairytale marriage that she is taking heed of the signs that God is sending her that Chris ain't right. Trust I know. I did it for yrs with my ex husband until I woke and realized what was happening to me. I had children with this man and still left and started over
I cant get over defending a man yelling at two women like that and in an enclosed space. Virginia is definitely a Karen but yelling at women like that in public with no concern with how it will come across on camera when you made your business public fodder by brining it to this show is unhinged.
And that's why Eric should have said something right then and there or never but I would never look at him like a man if he let an other man speak to me like that. Now the african in me would have never been caught dead in other people's business lol but still someone need to tell him man up in the moment or shut up
They approached Chris, under the direction of the PRODUCERS...y’all know that the interactions are staged. So Clara & Virginia were SIMPLY doing what they were told...so all this carrying on like y’all don’t know why they went to him is 🥴...I will NOT agree with him cussing them out like that...they were minding his business because of the show, periodt.
I agree. I didn’t have as much of a problem with how Clara handled it, but VA came in with her earrings off and someone (Erik) holding her purse. 😂 Even if the producers had told me to talk about that, I would have known that how she went about it was NOT the way. So while I believe that many people are thinking they initiated the conversation when they very likely didn’t, they don’t get a full pass, for sure!
AGREE! I love them all but this is one of the times I’m not a fan of their opinions in this case. They letting Chris off too easy and getting on the “Karens” when we know production had a hand in that and being in the industry they should know too. Also I know they are a little lit but as a girl mom I’m not a fan of putting girl moms and boy moms against each other. Personal pet peeve. Girl moms and boys mom can enable shitty bossy children. Because clearly Chris mom (and dad) raised a trash bag of a F boy … I’m watching this season late so I know folk prob won’t see this but I wanted to put my two cents in. Lol.
THE PRODUCERS KNEW...IDC IDC who tells someone that they’re pregnant at 6 weeks? They couldn’t wait until the end of the first trimester because the show would be over...this is TRASH! And they need to “for the first time in MAFS history”(like they claim every season) and rectify this next year and find Paige another husband!
Paige needs counseling before she gets with anyone else. And not counseling from her church. I'm scared for her that she'll be back in a situation like this, not seeing red flags, and staying because she thinks God wants her to suffer. Smh
Production needs to be slapped!!! From choosing him and even with separating them and Vincent/Bri on the excursions and with having Erik and Virginia come skipping in LATE again! And the rumors and spoilers have gone buck wild!! 🥴
That was done deliberately. At the end of the day. This is a new experience the participants dont know what they are going in regards to filming so they are following the question of the production team.
I agree. Without prompting, there’s no way that those two confront that man like that. It screamed “set up”. Other people have said that when VA and Clara walked away from the go-kart place VA said “I hope u got what u wanted” like she was talking to production.
My thing is Chris you’re on a reality show and you told the couples about your baby on the way so how can you ask for privacy clown? We’re watching everything happen and as long as the girls are around you guys they’ll be uncomfortable cause you and Paige make shit uncomfortable 😂 I didn’t see a problem with the girls saying something to him cause he made it their business by telling them
I see your point but just because someone shares someone personal does not mean you have to get all into their business by constantly being the issue up. There are boundaries. It’s called minding your own business. The other black couple is actually showing the best way to handle the situation. White people tend to be very nosy and opinionated. I have often had to tell them that I don’t share my personal business so please don’t ask certain questions. The other couples should just say hey I’m here is if you need to talk and focus on their own marriage. My belief is that people need to stay out of other people’s relationship and let that couple work through their issue unless someone asks you for an opinion. All of the marriage are new so how you giving Chris advice like you been successfully married 20 years. Paige is a grown intelligent woman and she needs to handle the situation with Chris and not let anyone else defend her like she’s a child or mentally ill.
Everyone goes on the show with an understanding that they are going to have to talk about their relationships & they have the chance to lean on the rest of the cast for support. It seems to me that bc of this elephant in the room, during the group meetups everyone has to tiptoe around Chris & Paige. Like sir, you told them your business & you know production is gonna ask them their opinions & want you to talk about it!
This situation was not white and black. The show obviously did this on purpose putting them in same excursion. I am not defending Chris as a black man. They were wrong but Chris approaching them on the bus was soooo feminine. Chris is umm yeah.
Briana and Vince didn't say anything because they are close with both Chris and Paige and they don't want to offend them by being honest about how trash Chris is.
Chris just letting Paige know that he has a kid on the way is manning up? No it is not. Are we forgetting that the producers and Paige literally had to FORCE chris to admit what was going on?? he is trash and I stand by that. 🤷🏽♀️

Yes ma'am!! Definitely!
Absolutely Liss!!!
How has Chris managed to manipulate all these Black women into praying for him and this ninja can’t even bless the food.
I forgot about that trifling prayer 🙄

Yep he definitely seems to be the type unfortunately
Ike Turner vibes for sure
Yeah, I peeped that when he physically drug Paige by the arm into the bathroom to break the news about the pregnancy.
Folks having issues with anyone standing up for Paige makes me sad. She has no family advocating for her.

When are we going to talk about how “that’s not my business” has been more harmful than good for the black community? That’s a conversation I want.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yes! Lets talk about it!!

And Vincent and Brianna were not around.
@@joannasaadati8810 yup, they sent Briana and Vincent away because they wanted to create that powder keg with Chris and those two couples.
I agree production set that up. Chris doesn't appear to respect women so I highly doubt he would want to sit and talk with these ladies.
Oh no, Chris is definitely a funny clown, but he's pathetic! I feel like if they really cared about Paige, they would have spoken to her! They wanted to put him in his place and that ish backfired tremendously.
Absolutely. Production’s role is to set up powder kegs and then step back and let the cast trip the wires.

YES!! THANK YOU!!!!!
The black people mind their business trope can easily be problematic in some cases
The mind your business immediately brings me to young children with the dirty uncle and the adults “minding their business” vibes. Ugh.
EXACTLY!!
@@amandawithlov3908 exactly! I see so many families "minding their business" when people are getting physically, mentally, and sexually abused.
This is not exactly the same...you can see a train wreck and you can speak on it but you can’t speak over the person that’s actually in the situation. @@jacquelyncarr3487 Speaking up for others helps them to speak up for themselves and it encourages others to speak up as well.
@@rhondareid1972 guess we’ll see how that plays out
@@rhondareid1972 I agree with Jacquelyn.

However, these woke Becky's have noticed they are being treated respectfully by their partners (which is why they were hurt by Chris the Clown).
He was outta line for that.
Right! Most men would say ‘take that little money and gone get your hair done” even if it’s not a little money and a nice amount most newlywed wives are going to get this for the household anyway.

@@brebrekelly13 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was happy when Virginia was going toe to toe with him. Not gonna lie lol. It wasn’t her place, but looks like Paige nor his family are going tell him like it is
Paige will be more broken and scarred after this ends.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
An hour and seventeen minutes... :rubs hands together:
Let’s do this!!! 🙌🙌🎬🎬
@876ME Girl that part!!!
This!!!! I didn’t think about race one bit just him acting a fool
Say it again for the people in the back!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Exactly! You hit the nail on the head
Chris' anger did not match the conversation. He has blown up multiple times .There is a time and place. He could simply not engage in conversations, or ask Paige to speak to them..
I feel like y’all are discounting that production encourages the couples to be in each other’s business.
Exactly. Amani was sent to speak to Brent in private last season 🤷
That’s true I’m sure the convo initiation was staged- but production doesn’t tell them what to say. If you offend someone, they will naturally go into defense mode.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
That is true but Chris is going to have a human response to it.
We don’t see that fourth wall being broken so we can’t confidently speak to what production may or may not have told them
There are several major points we must not forget when attempting to understand Chris' perspective: 1.
I also don’t think Chris would of apologized to Vodka and Eric if they were at the table on time.
Vodka?! 😩😩😩
I don’t think so either
That was my thought also. I don't think he intended on EVER apologizing to them.

An abusive one
This all day! Their delivery was not the best but Chris response was out of control.
Totally agree.
If both things are true then let both things be true. Chris was wrong but they were wrong first. Clara even said that Virginia should've stopped talking when she realized Chris was upset. Why is Chris bearing a greater responsibility to walk away?
Agreed!
I was here for Erik setting boundaries with Chris at the table whether they showed up late or not. I can’t agree with any of the Chris defense this recap 😂😂
Preach!!!!
Thank you!!! I'm dumbfounded at the strong stance.
Respecting boundaries go both ways. Like Chris said , you can’t ask for boundaries when they didn’t respect his request for privacy...that’s probably the only time I’ve agreed w/ Chris this whole time!
Same. I was here for Erik (albeit late lol) setting boundaries and Virginia calling a dude that everybody and they momma being saying, arrogant.
@@bonitapandora exactly 😂
And Brianna & Vincent aren’t asking C&P anything because they don’t have to, because they are the couple that C&P have been confiding in. So it’s not the same situation.
Very true
Vincent asked Chris exactly the same question Virginia did when Chris told him.
@@sasha02b right because they are building that relationship which makes him comfortable and non-defensive.

OK but Chris can’t tell the group and then say but I want privacy. First off he’s on TV second off he invited them into the conversation about his personal life.
THANK YOU!!!!! you can’t ask for privacy when you decided to come on a literal TV show! it does not work like that
Hello! Facts!
Omg YES so well said!!!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Exactly
"they have more bravery to speak to that narcissist than their own husband's" whew, lord. 👏🏾
@@MsMockingbird06 they could have but I'm sure they didn't know that he'd turn aggressive. Chris had the opportunity to decline as well.

Right?!
Right!
Claire and Virginia was wrong on the approach, but they experienced happy Paige prior to being married and now they see Paige unhappy on day #4/5. Were they being Karen's or truly had Paige's back?
They don’t care about her they’re using Paige’s situation to make themselves feel better about their own marriages. 😌 it’s just an escape.
100% and production also made Erik and Virgina arrive late at the dinner.
It is reasonable to stand your ground after you told someone to stay out of your business. Chris behavior towards Paige is not acceptable but he has the right to not strangers walk over him.

Exactly!! The lack of self reflection, even from the stance they took in the review, was disappointing!
Where is her family!?! Either she hasn’t told them or they know she has been in this situation before and they couldn’t talk sense into her.
I feel like some of y’all are letting race decide who side you’re on on some of these arguments and being really one-sided about it.
Especially when production was a HUGE play in it as well
Thank you, I've been seeing those type of comments eveywhere.
F that! This time I’m with the “Karen’s.”
Chile "The Slumlord" had me about to sling oil around my house. I was like what the heck is that growling noise. 😂 I took my earbuds out and everything 😂 😂
When Kevin came real close to the camera, I screamed and almost choked on my food 😩 I was not expecting that 😂😂
When he said “I’m spiritually attracted to you” the last piece of nerve I had left went out the window.
Make it make sense.
That "apology" was 100% calculated to make him look better on tv
Regardless of them instigating into the situation which I disagree with. Chris is only going to be enabled more by the situation to abuse Paige. Now he’s going to feel justified cutting her off from anybody who has something negative to say about their situation. It’s just going to further isolate her.
Omg yesssssss
Oh yea, that's good. Typical abuser behavior to cut them off from anyone who dares to cross the imaginary marriage line
That’s the experts job to step in
I completely agree! And thinking even further into their future (if she stays) he’s going to break her completely down, she needs real ones to stand up for her because she obviously can’t hold her own.
AMEN!
I hated that Ryan did that to Clara, that ish is potentially abusive too...He has no room to box her movements in so early in their relationship
Thankfully, after doing the work, the kind of “strong block woman” I’ve become is the kind that will divorce your a*s if you on that bullsh*t lol
I empathize with Paige and the only reason I feel bad for her is because even though she’s trying to do everything right, she’s not only getting mistreated by her husband, but she’s also being harshly judged... we all know the brainwashing the church has done on black women yet we are judging her for being a victim... the plight of the black woman 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
I hope she has someone close to her affirming her as she relives this trauma.
All Chris had to say was that he's spiritually attracted to her and paige forgot about everything that happened hours before
I agree with Liss, I am not going to defend Chris in his wrong cause we're black.
The frustrating thing with Paige is that she is letting her thoughts of a fairytale cloud the truth the reality of the situation. She is using GOD as a blinder and shield not to see the the truth.

I cant get over defending a man yelling at two women like that and in an enclosed space. Virginia is definitely a Karen but yelling at women like that in public with no concern with how it will come across on camera when you made your business public fodder by brining it to this show is unhinged.

AGREE! I love them all but this is one of the times I’m not a fan of their opinions in this case.
Smh
I feel sorry for Paige however, she needs to work on self love, otherwise she will end up attracting the same trash.
it's the fact that I still don't watch the show, but am so invested in this episode!

Brianna and Vincent were also NOT on the ATV ride, they missed all that drama on the bus.
Yeah I think had they been there, it would've been a different story. I don't think they would've been quiet about it
@876ME then that means that Briana and Vincent arent very good friends. Good friends tell you the truth even if it stings a little
Amar is giving me life. Him so cute, and Angel is such a great mom. When I have kids I hope to be as patient with my kids as Angel is. I love it
Chris just letting Paige know that he has a kid on the way is manning up? No it is not. Are we forgetting that the producers and Paige literally had to FORCE chris to admit what was going on?? he is trash and I stand by that. 🤷🏽♀️
He was frustrated that they were expressing concern for her but they jumped at a chance to judge him.
