Claire, Im so proud of you for facing your fears, Im still scared of spiders so go you!! I have used lights in resin for years and have never had any issues. Just replacing batteries. But if I can a piece of advice, on the part that is on the outside, if its just wire and not wrapped in silicone, some aren't. I just take clear packing tape and wrap that part to protect it from breaking the wire. You know how wire does after it gets bent so many times. Also another idea is before you put it in the resin, cut a piece off of a straw and string the lights through it up to the battery box, then wrap it with packing tape. Just a little protective bearer for the wire. ❤
Yes I still use colored lights, I'm around regular lights all year long so I'm going to use colored lights at Christmas same as I did when I was a little child. It's OK for your first time. I like it.
Claire, you never disappoint to give me a smile; o so needed. I love how you jump right in, and takes us with you. I’ve never used lights yet. I love the the colors, and going 4 the alcohol inks. The green glitters are O WOW!!! 🫶🏻
Awww, Claire! This is *_adorable!_* Adorable and *GORGEOUS!* You are so clever, the way you solved problems "on the fly": the sign of a very creative Artist! You _should_ be proud of yourself! I have more fun watching your videos than you perhaps realize. 😊
I love the fact that you kept your inner child and feature it in the energy you put in every piece you make. This is an inspiring first try. My 13 year old daughter watched it with me and now wants us to recreate it together! I had an idea, I'm not sure its a very original one, but I think that putting a thin layer of clear resin just before the glittery one could make the rope stand out more on its own. Thank you so much for your good vibes in every single video you make.
Thankyou so much ❤️❤️🌲🌲 I am happy that I'm still enjoying creating very much 😍😍❤️ I hope it continues 🤞🤞 hell8 to your daughter and Merry Christmas from me 🌲🌲❤️❤️
Never came across until now,if lights stopped working,Ms Claire. This trinklet tray is so beautiful with those ornaments and lovely glittery background 💖😍
Claire I am so proud of you for going out of your comfort zone. The excitement in your voice reminds me of the first time I tried lights. Oh yeah it was a Christmas 🎄. It grew on me after a day or two of looking at it. Lol! And yes I keep trying. 😊 have a Blessed day.
I really like it, you done a great job for a first time. I had a chuckle because even when you don’t like something you’re still enthusiastic about it . Your great love your videos❤️💜I’m glad you ended up liking it because you did an awesome job
100% colored lights here for Christmas holidays.❤🎅⛄️❄️ love your dish creations, you are not alone with avoiding lights embedded in resin. 😊 I can always hang clear/white lights anytime of the year. ❤
Very cute Claire. FYI, you CAN trim off excess lights on the end that you don't want/need for most of these fairy lights. So def check to see if that's the case for the ones you bought. The only issue I had with lights was from a Carousel I made last year, where half of the lights kinda bent out of shape so badly that it broke the circut. So, one half of the lights worked, and the other half didnt. But it still looked cute. Lol.
This is actually really pretty!! I love it with the Lettering! I enjoy lights in resin! So far mine are still working!! Good for you that you did the lights!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄
I LOVE this!! It turned out so CUTE, Claire!! Maybe not quite what you wanted...but the idea with the lights...and adding the vinal still turned out EXQUISITE!!!! 💜🤯💜
Nice outcome Claire, love the colors. I watched Daniel Cooper make a Rudoplh pendant recently with a teeny tiny wireless led light in his nose & it worked a treat. Would be a perfect option for the baubles 🙂
I would choose one or two colours for the baubles, that are contrasting to the green background. First, I would accentuate the contours of the baubles with black acrylic paint, then I would fill the baubles with coloured resin, let it harden and then add the fairy lights (so the lights are not so close under the surface). Although I love the green glitter, I would use a more neutral background. I would use a snowflake stamp and white stazon ink to fill some of the spaces in between. Love the vinyl! This is, what I would do. But then I have the advantage of having watched your video. Thank you for daring this so I don't have to! 💜
Tim holtz has some called tiny lights they can be cut from the other end from the battery pack and they still work they'd be perfect for this project ❤️ I absolutely love this one it's stunning babes absolutely stunning the green glitter is gorgeous 😍 ❤❤
This came out very lovely. That green is fantastic. My own ideas on putting lights in would be add a midge of mica (just enough for a hint), add color the ornaments and then attach the lights. Might make the light spread more. Thanks for sharing.
This looks great, the lights make the baubles look 3d. We went for coloured lights on our tree this year. My Husband coloured the ones we had with coloured pens.. they look so pretty.. All multicoloured 😊
It's fabulous! One thing, I think the reason why you weren't sure about it when you first saw it is that the green (with all that glitter) is overwhelming the baubles - which is why adding the "oh Christmas Tree" to it balanced it out a bit more.
I love it! I love the idea of using lights! As a fellow crafter I actually understand exactly what you are saying and I’m sure this will open up more possibilities.
Now I can't un-see the spaceships, at least they are festive ones! The text really made it complete and even when the lights burn out it will still look good.
I think it came out adorable!!! All you needed was a layer of clear, before the green…. That way the string would have shown!!! So proud of you for using lights….😉🥰
Hi Claire, I think you did a great first job with lights. I've made resin Christmas trees with those lights and they're really cute. Never had any problems this far!
Hi Claire, wow. I luv it. I knew exactly where you were going with the baubles when you made the green. Its a shame you lost the candy string but the marker soon fixed that. I didnt see a space ship til u mentioned it n they certaintly didnt ruin it. I remember coloured lights as a child n yeah made Christmas magical but now all my lights are are daylight bright. Back to ur tray its amazing n would make a brill display piece. Thank you as always x
It's gorgeous Claire. Just adding the silver pen and vinyl really made it pop! I'm so glad you didn't trim the wires off that we're slightly poking out the back..😂😂 I heard of somebody doing this once - not me, thankfully. 😂
I've never used lights in resin either, but I have many fairy lights waiting. I have used them in other stuff, and once I was just about to finish a cool project when a wire came loose. I managed to solder it bag.
I was thinking it needed a little something something too! Then you added the verbiage! Looks great!! FYI.. first half of my adult life I decorated with white lights.. now I’m using colorful lights!
“Airplanes might be landing here”….😂😂😂. I used to work for a large airplane manufacturer here in the states, so this cracked me up. I love watching your shows! ❤ I think the tray turned out fabulous! You put a lot of work in this and I think it was well worth.
Well done. Could you maybe do like one colour lights, so there not multi coloured and then add the red and white string, and then a black glitter background.
What an adorable creation,Ms Claire. This turned out superb and the lights add it another level beauty to it.The glitter background is too gorgeous 😍 ✨️ 💖
I haven’t yet done resin work - but I remember back in the 70’s my mom did some resin art - it was really cool stuff she made. My daughter dabbles in resin and I’m still sitting on the fence about doing some…
I have used those same lights in projects for about 3 1/2 years and they are still functional in the earliest projects as well as those that I did afterwards - and you can get replacement batteries for the ones I have.
5:12 would a sharpie pen work? ❤ I made it to the end & I am inspired by what you created. My only quibble is the text & that is only because I couldn’t see the ‘h’ clearly in ‘Oh’ but that is down to the font & possibly shows up better in person rather than in the video with the lighting fading the end of it out. But Claire be proud of yourself. You created a great piece for your first attempt. And hopefully you will look at it year after year with fond memories & continue to be proud of yourself for sticking with it to the very end.
I think this turned out very nice. I have some pebeo vitrail colours. If I had the inlays maybe I could use them as they give a stained glass effect???!!! Maybe I'll buy some inlays & give it a go. I only have the 10 light string lights at the minute. Guess I'll be on Amazon again this weekend!?
Claire, Im so proud of you for facing your fears, Im still scared of spiders so go you!! I have used lights in resin for years and have never had any issues. Just replacing batteries. Thank you for showing the lights as I have had the same issue--I have them but I'm afraid to use them.
Cutest holiday spaceships ever! Love this!

Multi color lights for sure! It’s a grey time of year and you need color to brighten things up. Love the tray. It’s so pretty and festive.

I am obsessed with this. I am making it! I LOVE THIS!
The tray came beautiful, Claire. It does look like you’re looking at lights on a Christmas tree. This was genius. 👏🏻😁
This is great. But. I would have outlined each bulb with the same color marker like you did the string. Great job though
Hi Claire cute Christmas tree tray 🎄 , great idea , thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
Claire I am so proud of you for going out of your comfort zone. The excitement in your voice reminds me of the first time I tried lights. Oh yeah it was a Christmas 🎄. It grew on me after a day or two of looking at it. Lol! And yes I keep trying. 😊 have a Blessed day.
I really like amber Xmas lights. It gives me a warm, nostalgic feeling. 🥰
My tree has multicolored lights though!
I really like it, you done a great job for a first time. I had a chuckle because even when you don’t like something you’re still enthusiastic about it . Your great love your videos❤️💜I’m glad you ended up liking it because you did an awesome job
On the reveal I thought, ooooo galaxies.... with a sparkling sky.... love it for Christmas

Came out much nicer with the vinyl. Gorgeous 😍

Well, you faced your fears and now you have a really cute make. I also think adding the vinyl words was a perfect finishing touch.
This is actually really pretty!! I love it with the Lettering! I enjoy lights in resin! So far mine are still working!! Good for you that you did the lights!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄
That's really cool! I've never thought of using lights in resin for some reason. The addition of the text really brought it all together.
My Family room lights are white lights, the kitchen, dinning room and outside lights are multi colored. I just love Christmas lights!
I LOVE this!! It turned out so CUTE, Claire!! Maybe not quite what you wanted...but the idea with the lights...and adding the vinal still turned out EXQUISITE!!!! 💜🤯💜
This is gorgeous!
A unique Christmas decoration, it’s cute.
Claire this is stunning I love everything you make but this is yay it’s Christmas 🎄
Nice outcome Claire, love the colors. I watched Daniel Cooper make a Rudoplh pendant recently with a teeny tiny wireless led light in his nose & it worked a treat. Would be a perfect option for the baubles 🙂
I absolutely love this piece and lights in resin! Please do more! ❤

It is beautiful! Love the inlays with the lights! Screams tree.
It's beautiful. You did an awesome job with the lights.❤❤❤
Turned out really nice! I totally agree on the vinyl. Appearently you can cut off some lights at the end if you feel you have too many
Tim holtz has some called tiny lights they can be cut from the other end from the battery pack and they still work they'd be perfect for this project ❤️ I absolutely love this one it's stunning babes absolutely stunning the green glitter is gorgeous 😍 ❤❤
Good on you for doing something out of your comfort zone ❤️ I agree the vinyl brought this to life 😊
Very pretty Claire, I think it does look like a Christmas Tree 🎄
This came out very lovely. That green is fantastic.

Love it especially with the vinyl words
I love multi lights and always use them no matter what I do Claire but all white look OK too ❤❤❤
You always come up with surprising endresults, Claire! Love to watch this video. Fan of the green glittets. Thank you Claire for your show!
This is just fabulous!! I cannot wait to try this.
Thank you Claire!!
Very cute and festive. You did a great job
Don't be so hard on yourself Claire it is beautiful Ilove it❤❤❤❤
I wonder if outlining the lights to give it definition would make them clearer. Love it.
I've never used lights in resin either, but I have many fairy lights waiting. I have used them in other stuff, and once I was just about to finish a cool project when a wire came loose. I managed to solder it bag.

It's really lovely Claire, the writing makes it ❤🎄
Gorgeous make Claire, love it x❤
I love it. You will be putting lights in everything now 😄
I love this one! Great job
So cute, what a great idea. ❤❤
White lights only outdoors, colored lights for our Christmas tree
I have used those same lights in projects for about 3 1/2 years and they are still functional in the earliest projects as well as those that I did afterwards - and you can get replacement batteries for the ones I have.
I think it turned out fabulous!! I love it!!
I think they came out so cool!! 💜😻
I love it you've inspired me to have a go tomorrow I was to scared but after watching you I'm gonna do it thanks
Maybe white snow background?maybe darker inks would have helped break up the look of the lights?
Very pretty tray.😊
I love warm light Claire
Claire you are sooo talented! My daughter & I just LOVE your videos❤
thankyou so much xxxx
@ClairesCraftyCorner Have you ever tried Let's resin casting powder?
I really like it. ❤
Great video. My fears about lighting is about what yours were. Putting the lettering in really helped to tie everything together. ❤
So beautiful and cute!
I love it Claire!
You can acually cut down the lightstrand to make it shorter 😊
I love the results Claire ❤ Take great care and hope you had a fabulous time with Tim. Happy Birthday Tim 🎉🎉🎉
Most UV resin is also LED cured. So those little lights will help cure around those lights!
Really like this project!!!
I love it! Very pretty.
I love a mixture of white and multi-color. You're too hard on yourself. It looks great. Really cute, sweetie. xoxo
Love this idea.
So beautiful.
I like it Claire. Love Love Love
This is fantastic!
I have been using lights for a while and the only time mine stopped working was when the wire snapped so as long as you are careful it should be ok
Gorgeous Claire ❤️❤️❤️
Love this!!
Beautiful, i wonder if chameleon powder would have worked and the lights still show thru.
