- If you're craving authentic, flavour-packed Mexican cuisine but find yourself in Sanur, then this is the video for you! Join me on my food adventure to Taqisa, a Mexican restaurant located on Jalan Danau Tamblingan in the heart of Sanur. From the moment I took my first bite, the spices, fresh ingredients and incredible depth of flavour had me questioning whether I was magically transported to Mexico itself.
Name: Taqisa
Address: Jalan Danau Tamblingan 170, Sanur
As I go to new places and try new things in Sanur, I'll be posting updates on a regular basis, so subscribe to see what else I stumble upon.
Agree 100% Adam. I visited couple of months back for lunch and had 3 tacos and the horchata. As Mexican food is one of my top 3 cuisines, I do love it and have spent a couple of holidays there. This is really good quality Mexican and the price is brilliant for the quality. And yes, there is not much in the way of Mexican in the Sanur area, compared over to the madness of Seminyak and further afield.
About 200mts further north on same side is an interesting Japanese restaurant - Tetsushin. Tried it last trip and as far as reasonably priced Japanese, was quite good. Always been a lot of choices good and bad, for Japanese in southern Bali, but this was a good lunch spot.
Good to know that you share the same thoughts on Taqisa! I'll add Tetsushin to my list of places to visit!
That's what I haven't seen in the streets of Bali for years - water buffaloes. Thanks for your videos on Sanur, my favourite place to stay in Bali. 😊
No problem! Hope you enjoy them!
Hahaha .. “cold, limey , what else do you want“ love it!
Great video again! Thank you
Hahahah... It happens quite a bit with the drinks where I really don't have a lot to say. Especially when they taste exactly like you'd expect!
I love your videos too!
Thanks!
Thx heaps Adam I love Mexican but just didn't think this little spot would deliver anything memorable. Have been disappointed several times at Jalapeno.....may be I'm just too picky....but will now give Taqisa a red hot go.
I haven't tried Jalapeno so I can't compare, but I really love Taquisa which for me was a little surprising. I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but I think they do a great job. Would love to get your opinion when you try it (as we know everyone has different tastes). By the way, I am very picky as well.
Awesome ill be there in August , the food looks great 😊
Yeah it’s fantastic and definitely worth a visit.
You do very good videos, helps so much. Thank you
Thanks Margaret. I really appreciate it.
🤗👍
your pic quality are above average mister
Thanks!
That looks amazing! Drooling over here 🤤🤤
So good! I keep getting surprised by some of the food around here. Often I don’t even really hear much about a place before trying it and then find out it’s amazing.
Food looked delicious and restaurant decked out nicely too. I do love mexican, one for the list.
Absolutely. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
love your videos as well
Thank you! Appreciate it.
I'm surprised you don't see more Mexican cuisine in south east Asia. Garlic, cilantro/coriander, and hot chilis are major common ingredients in both cuisines. Especially Vietnamese. The biggest difference is that tomatoes are uncommon in SEA
I think real Mexican food is lacking because there are very few Mexicans here. It’s easy for anyone to whip up something representing Mexican food, but there’s nothing like that flavour you get when you visit Mexico itself. Taqisa for me gets it close.
Good stuff . Looked good . Yes is great to get recognition of the work you put into your channel 👍
Thanks mate. We both know that behind the scenes there’s a bit of work involved.
Have you tried warung sanur segar opposite the markets ?
I haven't, but I do know about it. Have you been? What do you think?
