Now this is the story of stand up folks, a class, and might I say "First Class" operation. I do not see any hillbilly engineering here (not that is specifically bad or good for that matter) What I see is a man with skills, understands loading and geometry, grasps very clearly what alignment and "square" means and KNOWS HOW TO WELD understands load bearing and weight distribution, I could go on and on for goodness sake. I watch the transformation of that lovely little truck to something that will continue to be cool and lovely but with a pride in the foundation - FRAME - which is what it ROLLS on and realize it's going to be way better than new, safe, strong, able to be and hold alignment You are a tribute to master fabricators everywhere. Your eye for it is just amazing as well as the heartfelt passion to get it right. What you have done to reveal the dastardly deed and right the wrong for this nice lady is epic. Fun, entertaining but make no mistake how you handled this, how it is being turned around to better than the customer expected (no doubt in my mind to that) is truly evidence still over 200 years later of the amazing country with people that have morals, values and believe in what is right still exists and flourishes today! I am blown away, await the subsequent videos with anticipation and cannot wait to see this cute little Ford such a neat classic ripping around town with no parts falling out from under it or crashing because it will not track straight. It will be riding on a EPIC custom frame from a epic CUSTOM MASTER FABRICATOR that is an honest, decent informed and competent man (and shop of course) Cudos! 10+ 👍👍👍👍
That guy should work for Disney, with that Mickey Mouse job. Your work and the fact that you actually went to mediation to help the owner is outstandin, may you enjoy continued success. PS good job not cussing out the crook, far to many videos on builds like that, its disturbing how many builds like that burying damage under bondo.
Glad I found your channel. Nice work. Always good to learn from fabricators who care and do great work. Looking forward to more great videos. Watching in Minnesota.
Good on yah! Damn cool that folks like y'all are there to help folks like this couple. She sounds like a pretty amazing lady! Creating karma for thieves is always acceptable. 👍
Looks like you do beautiful work. It's a shame that some people are nothing more then a sham. What happened to honesty and integrity. You know back when peoples word actually meant something.
Sir not from your state. But thank you for having a big heart to take care of the people who mean a lot to your town! Much respect and keep up what you’re doing! And awesome content.
Just found your channel, will be following it. I agree that almost all car people are fantastic and honest people, very friendly. I want to keep meeting car people. Told a guy the other day, there is probly 358,000 things I don't know about the older cars. But every time I get to talk to car people I can mark one of those things off. Keep up the great work. Hoping more younger people get bitten by the car bug.
Great job you guys!!! Especially nice fixing the crap work the other guy did for the nice sounding lady. I enjoy the methodical way you go through everything. Keep up the good work!
Shame about the original frame not working out, I’ve had similar problems with jobs over the years. You think using an original piece helps with either cost or other complications, but then you reach a point where you realise you’re better off going all new custom. Great build, glad it’s working out 😊
I always enjoy watching people that know what they are doing. I have seen some of the same type of garbage work on the frame. It’s good to expose those that do that kind of work.
Really enjoy your channel! Nice how you explain your thinking on chassis build as you go. Just saw the 37 Chevy coupe in the background. My favorite car !
You guys are the best, awesome fab work and it's all about what's best for the customer, for you to do all the fab work then restart with a new frame shows your class. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing the next installment all the best from across the pond 👍🇬🇧
You men are standup guys! That other guy is the kind of guy that DOES NOT NEED TO BE WORKING ON ANY VEHICLE! Glad the real men stepped up to actually BUILD A GREAT RIDE FOR THIS WOMAN ! It’s sad that people take advantage of others doing crap 💩 jobs stealing money from people! It’s not ok to put people’s lives in damage building junk!
This should help me as far as the do's and don'ts when I start working on my '38 Chevy truck. I plan to make it a simple 5" drop for now .... boxed frame , de-arched parallel leafs front and rear with drop I-beam on the front , probably a small lowering block in the rear.
Looking great so far!! Sucks that you put so much work into the original frame, and then couldn't use it... but I think your new frame is going to turn out much better!
Beautiful metalworking work, congratulations to all of you who presented us with this beautiful video. belo trabalho de metarlurgia, parabens a todos vcs que nos presenteia com esse belo video.
I know what is like to be screwed on a build ,I pick up 37 ford pickup ,I was just going to redo the wood in the bed and when pulled the wood out and look down at the frame it was shit . look on down the line it was crap , going to have to start all over. everything in this thing was done wrong. At my age not sure if it will get done .So really feel sorry for her .thank you for doing it for her
Thank you so much for the support. Sorry to hear about your truck, if you need any help you can message us on Instagram, Facebook, or email. We would love to help and we wish you the best.
Glad yall put his name out there and went the right way as far as getting lawyers and such involved. To bad we got hosed for well over $10k and the time dealing with it all
For those that worried about the axles and welding, they are cast steel not cast Iron and look at a semi axles, they weld perches and hangers onto those axles and there is about 3 linear feet of weld on each side lol.
Dude , you guys are just cool ,,ok, i watch similar stuff ,(Utah guys , Robby, Matt , Merlin etc) , You deserve more subs , i'm leaving links on Fab Rats etc ,,,, Excellent work you guys do,,This Truck will be SAFE after you are done ,, Algud from New Zealand..
I've been looking foreword to your video's. This is a great channel your work speaks for itself. I've been on Loco custom reruns for awhile now. I hope you get more out in the future. The best to you always Regards....
Omg this comment made our day knowing you've been rewatching our older videos! Thank you so much, we are going to have more frequent content on this channel
Have you checked your datum and center line need a good set of old school frame gauges this is the first thing I do. Might be able to find the frame specs online for frame set up!
I think what we have here is a situation where a person is doing this type of work at a level far lower than what the level that you guys are. Now we all start out learning how to do things and as we progress we get better and better in our skills. We also see that there are times when we should scrub the mission and start out from scratch like you guys did with the frame on this build. There are people out there who try to "use what you got" when attempting these kinds of fabrication projects. Those people should practice on their own stuff rather than take people's money for substandard work. I myself am no expert on this stuff, but I do fabricate for myself and believe me it is quite the tedious exercise to think this stuff through in order to achieve the desired results. A lot of people do not realize how involved this work is. If people could view the auto manufacturing process they would see just how much is involved in the manufacture of vehicles and just how costly it can be. I have viewed videos of the manufacturing process on automobiles for the time period of this truck (actually a Periscope Films video on a 1936 Chevrolet) and it is awesome the equipment and manufacturing procedures to produce a vehicle. You guys are essentially redesigning a frame and powerplant on one vehicle and that is time consuming. Keep up the quality of the build. The customer will be happy.
Wow, thank you for the comment Billy! You're exactly right people don't quite understand how tedious and time consuming this work is. I gotta watch that periscope film you mentioned. Stay tuned for the next vid, I think you'll like it
There is no excuse for shoddy work. What you showed on the last video was clearly a crap job. Good on you for calling him out. I'm glad I found your channel.
Impressive workmanship and planning. When you build frames with square tubing, do you drill a few weep holes in the bottom? We here in the northeast have problems with moisture; obviously it's much drier in Nevada.
I am 63, and if I have learned anything, it's never to oversell myself and if I screwup I own it. Pride is not the same as confidence and that's not the same as competence. Pride goeth before the fall.
Haha I've seen this in a few shops everyone's buying a bender, a welder, and a drill press. And BAM there is a car builder. Be careful people. I was quoted 20 grand to put a 6 " lift kit that I was providing. And not even getting upgraded axles. So I saved the money and as a certified boiler tech I decided to crawl around my garage and do it myself. And hey I saved enough to buy brand new Curries and tig welded the whole thing in myself. I'm so glad I did my homework . And now tires wheels kings Curries and still less than 20. And I know it's right. 😂❤

That new frame is a work of art. I'm learning a lot from watching you guys. Your knowledge, humility, and dry sense of humor is appreciated.
I commend you for posting his name, it isn't about trashing him (which he deserves), it is about protecting those he tries to get in the future.
Your comment says it exactly right! Thank you very much Richard

I prefer painting the frame versus powder coating do you agree?
Yes with the right Paint .
Yes, 100%
Go peacefully I love you.
Thanks, love you brother!
