Congratulations! I wanted to share how much joy your videos brought to my longtime partner, Tim, through the years. Tim passed away somewhat unexpectedly in December. He had been in a wheelchair due to a disability for the past decade or so and he would faithfully watch your hiking videos and a few other YT channels. It was a way for him to connect to nature and hiking and his younger days. So I am reaching out just to share with you my deepest gratitude for sharing your journey. May your life in NYC be richly blessed. You will be a great father.

Baby backpack carrier asap! Congrats and best wishes from a fam that hiked the Colorado Rockies in 1965: an Austrian mountaineer dad, an American pioneer mom, two toddlers under 4 tripping along the path and a 6-month old infant on mom's back in a 60s metal/cloth infant backpack carrier.
Y'all will be hiking together again in no time! ❤

Huge congratulations to you and your wife! As a relatively recent father myself, don’t be discouraged if your child just doesn’t take to those baby carriers for hikes like I see other infants and toddlers do. Every kid is different it goes without saying, and while it’s obviously not the most important thing or anywhere close, I’m sure it is a thought you may have as a hiker as it was something I was curious about as well. Just enjoy the journey, be there for your wife especially, and all will be beautiful. Congrats again.

Special and fun video. Good you made it. To most of us who love what you do and what you present, this makes you more real to us. Shows the other life you lead. As we watch your presentations, we don't think of how you may be in other settings or ones that are more like us. Your Lady is very pretty and seems so gentle. I may have missed if she is also a back country person? I discovered you not long ago. Perhaps she too is a trekker. One thing seems for sure, that child of yours will be a nature and wilderness lover. Your new life will be different and have challenges, but the reward of a child will offset those. You now have two things to document. Your travels and your family life. Hope you show us the latter along with your adventures. Someday, perhaps, a family trek?? BTW, congratulations on your new addition. Can't wait.
