Shota Kaya was born in 2000 in Tokyo (Japan). Currently, he is studying at Tokyo College of Music. The motto of the pianist, who has already won several prizes in Japanese piano competitions, is simply "to become not just a good pianist, but a great musician." He also composes and conducts.
The International FRANZ LISZT Piano Competition Weimar-Bayreuth is organised by the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar and the City of Bayreuth.
