Mostar, a city below Mount Velež, has about 100,000 inhabitants. The old part of Mostar is located at the confluence of the river Radobolja and the river Neretva, and forms an ambient complex created in the 15th century. The most famous building in the Old Town is the Old Bridge, which is protected by UNESCO. The bridge was built in 1566 and demolished in the 1993 war. It was renovated in 2004.
